True REST Float Spa - How I feel after a good float!

This was a great experience, even better than I expected! The atmosphere is very chill and…read morespa-like. When you enter, it's obvious that it's time to relax and take some time for yourself. The staff contributes to the calm tone, too. I felt very taken care of from the second I stepped in the door, like I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. The space is VERY clean, which was my biggest concern. Everything seemed brand new and hygienic, especially the shower. The float itself was incredibly relaxing. Just being in the complete darkness and trying not to think too much felt good. I was going to try to explain it, but I would go on and on...I thought the small space might be a bit scary, but it wasn't - the lid doesn't lock at all, and there's always the option to keep it open. All of the little details were so appreciated: ear plugs, a ring for your head to float higher if preferred, and instructions for a wet towel if salt gets in your eyes. I've done a float in an open room before, and the pod is way better, IMO. Absolutely loved the tea, oxygen bar (scents were a little bit overpowering, but still nice), and quietness after the float. The oxygen bar and Groupon are what made me pick this spot over other floats. I definitely did feel a little too much of a sales push (I don't think this was the staff member's fault - seemed like they must be told to repeat this spiel because the signage coincides with it to a T), which almost brought me down a star. Everything else was great, it felt like a lot of thought went into this space and experience for customers :)

Very relaxing experience. Staff leave nothing out. I felt fully informed. I was told several…read moretimes, at every step, to take my time. No rushed feeling. The oxygen after was wonderful. A grab bar to get in and out of the pod would have been helpful. It helped with a very great night sleep. Will be going back for sure!

I spoke to Mason on the phone to make an appointment. He recently took over the business a few…read moremonths ago. It's great to have a hyperbaric chamber close by and they are open on Saturday too. The hyperbaric chamber sessions are about 60 to 80 minutes. They cost about $125 a session. It's a zipper that you have to enter through. He said it's comfortable inside and I can be in with my phone, shoes off though. It's in the same shopping center as Wannashake? And Jonny Cakes, both good spots too. It's next to the Troy City Fitness. Compression for the legs for increased blood flow. The compression feels good, feels like a deep squeeze massage. I got set up with my charger for my phone since it drains quickly. The compression is for a half hour. It is supposed to help you feel lighter on your feet. The cryo is only for 3 mins. Socks and gloves to avoid hypothermia. It's at -200 degrees. In the buff. Boxers for the boys and their boys, if you know what I mean. The crypto is $60 a session. My teeth started to chatter within the first few seconds. Wow. Felt aches from my knees and my elbows, due to inflammation in the area. They provide you coffee and water while you are in your sessions. The hyperbaric chamber session started around noon. Takes about 5 minutes to inflate the chamber. Clear your ears like on a plane the first few minutes. The pure oxygen in your nose takes some getting used to the taste and smell of it all. Once you are in and it's inflated and your ears have popped, it's quite comfortable to just chill out here for an hour. The bed pad could use another layer. Come in for some detox and brain clarity and great blood flow too. Depressurization right on time. Ears are popping again. Decided to try it all and do a session in the infrared sauna for a 29 minute session as well. It's warming from my core out. It feels like a warm and lovely hug. The service here is above and beyond. Mason puts you at ease and regularly checks up on you to make sure you are not uneasy or uncomfortable in every session. He has great bedside manners and is detailed in explaining the session process and benefits too. From the compression, frigid cryo, infusion of intense oxygen and the infrared heat. I feel energized and refreshed. I have been here for almost 3 hours. It feels like a full day spa day today. Feeling so fantastic. It feels like 3 hour Swedish massage. I bought a package for my husband to try it all as well, soon.

Five out of five stars. I liked everything about this space. Dr. Mason has recovery on lockdown…read morewhich is fantastic since it's attached to the gym. Great concept. He greeted me himself and went over everything they had. He was very informative about each modality and the benefits. I did cryotherapy for the first time and he walked me through each step. I'm not a fan of cold but it was kind of refreshing and I felt so alive afterwards. I wanted to do it to simulate my metabolism. He also recommended that the cold plunge pool. I need to work myself up to that. I would definitely go back.
