We used little tree for childcare for 4 years and finally left for the following reasons: The owner, Callie Glanzer, contacted all families in March 2020, discontinuing child care services bwcause of covid. She asked that families still pay for the daycare they weren't receiving for April. She invited families to communicate with her, which we did by email. She never responded to our email and never sent us an invoice. She next communicated with us in the end of April regarding initiating services again. We agreed to start on May 18 and paid the proposed price before receiving an invoice. After our payment, we received an invoice that included a fee for April. When my husband asked for more information about the fee, Callie refused to be transparent about why we never received an invoice for April or what we were paying for since her daycare was closed. Four days before my son was supposed to start daycare, Callie "ended our business relationship." Little tree staff is comprised primarily of college students and the turn over is constant. There are only a few employees that have been there for more than a few months. The inability to maintain staff is a direct reflection on the management and Callie's reputation as an employer is deplorable. Staff is reprimanded for expressing concern, they are paid poorly, and pay for their own CPR certification and trainings. In July 2018, my infant son and another child were left unattended in a stroller and the stroller rolled into Highland Boulevard. It took managment days to speak with my husband about it and after we agreed to a discount, staff arbitrarily stopped applying the discount. In fall 2018, the electricity at the facility was out and staff wanted to contact parents, but Callie refused them, likely out of fear she would have to refund payments. Also in 2018, two picnic tables were left in the parking lot after being painted. My husband accidentally damaged two tables. We acquiesced to buying new tables and the next week, four new tables arrived-- the price of which on Amazon was exactly what we paid for two tables. We aren't the only ones: we have friends that have left after trying to speak with callie about their concerns repeatedly with no changes, friends that have celebrated their children leaving little tree with champagne, friends that were billed after their child went to another daycare. The issues are systemic. The management is fundamentally flawed. This business will also be deficient as long as Callie glanzer remains involved. read more

My 3-year-old son has been going to Little Tree Education Center for almost 2.5 years now and we absolutely love it. I can see the growth and learning every day! All the teachers love having him, and he loves seeing them. Best of all, the children seem very happy and love Little Tree. It's very nice to know that he is in a caring environment with teachers who truly care while he isn't home. Their communication with parents is also excellent. I always appreciated knowing what was happening and their constant care and updates regarding the children. I recommend them wholeheartedly and I encourage anyone looking for quality childcare for your little one to check them out! read more

What a Jem of a school! My daughter had her first real job at Little Tree and loved every day working with the amazing kids and her co-workers. It was a perfect place for her to learn what good management and caring leadership looked like. I agree with the other posts shared here. We chose Little Tree because they offered care for babies which we needed starting around 4 months. I want to emphasize first that the staff themselves were overall great and clearly cared about our child. But it's true that the staff turnover was seemingly constant, and on top of that, new staff wouldn't introduce themselves during pickup or drop off unless I initiated which further created a sense of disconnection with the people who were spending 30 hours a week with our kid. I want to verify Brigitte's account of how covid was handled. Callie was uncommunicative and would send these self-important emails about how she was our leader and she would carry us through this trying time, meanwhile I've never met this person, and you're showing leadership by charging us and not paying your staff. Meanwhile you're opening a 4th location, so you're obviously not hurting for money. The service got even worse once covid hit which was understandable at first but months later the staff seemed tired and checked out. We got next to no updates on what's happening with the kids during the day and when we asked how the day went we get a generic "it was great" every time. When I ask for more information they rarely have any to give. Also we're required to wear masks at pick up and drop off which is fine but then every picture I see of the teachers and their mask is around their chin while the kids are sitting in their laps, so what message are we supposed to take from that? They also charge more than most other daycares and you're getting mediocre services at best. We finally left a couples months ago and it's shocking to have our child now in a daycare where he actually gets consistent care and we receive great communication from his teachers. So in summary, overpriced, lack of intentionality and consistency in how kids are taken care of, owner is clearly narcissistic and prioritizes making money over her staff and our kids. read more

Little Tree is one of only a few childcare options in town that accept infants. Due to high demand there is a waitlist at Little Tree, and I added my name to their list when I was 7-months pregnant. Finally, a year later, Little Tree had an opening for my child, then 10-months old during the peak anxiety-separation phase. Our baby was often upset at drop-off. The owner told me our child was not adjusting well within a month of enrollment. The owner recommended an additional day-per-week at Little Tree, and so we did. One day at pickup, within 2 weeks of the new schedule, the owner literally flung her arms up, said she couldn't handle my child, and effectively kicked my baby out of daycare. Our baby had only been attending the school for 3 months (interrupted by the holidays). I had arrived that day to find my baby content with the other kids, and was shocked to be asked to leave. When I asked more pointed questions, the owner told me our child disrupted the morning environment (noted to be less than 5 minutes) and needed too much attention. As a Montessori school, I thought Little Tree would be equipped to handle and problem-shoot the normal psychosocial development of babies. I found the owner extremely unprofessional and would not recommend this school. read more
