I was very nervous when we started looking for preschool for our then 3 yr old son. I toured a few and felt that Kailua Baptist Preschool would be perfect because from the moment I walked into the office, I could just feel the atmosphere of love and care. There was none of the cold matter-of-fact business nonesense. The sweet ladies here are all about the relationship. Let me just say, as soon as we applied, multiple friends made comments about how much their kids loved that preschool which just solidified for me internally that I made the right choice. . The facility is small but they have such am amazing program. The teachers are outstanding and fully equipped to handle anything toddlers can throw their way. Our son has a very strong will and sometimes can wind me up in a matter of seconds. Amazingly, his teachers and the entire preschool staff have been able to find an individual approach that worked to get him to cooperate and enjoy preschool. He's made friends, went on field trips, and learned his numbers and ABCs. He can spell his name, and recognizes different letters that he associates with the names of his school friends. He absolutely adores his teachers. We will miss KBP next year a lot. It has been such a wonderful experience. I only regret not putting our oldest daughter in that preschool when she was little, and not putting our son in for 5 days a week instead of 2. We highly recommend KBP to all of our friends.

This trip I reached out at the last minute during the Christmas break with very little hope of finding a suitable nanny. They assigned Brittany to us and she was a gem. My initial goal was to put my 5 year old to sleep and have a nanny watch guard in case he wakes up while me and my husband have some adult dinner. That didn't happen. Brittany came prepared to entertain my son in the hotel room for 5 hour (way past his bedtime). She came 3 days during our stay and my some waited for her like he waited for Santa. Standing by the door listening for footsteps. I can't say enough good things about Brittany and happy kids.

Happy kids is a great middle man to coordinate the sitter and do all arranging and paperwork. Our children are special needs autistic, and Brenda showed up with a clear plastic carry bag with toys and she knew how to take care of the unique needs of autistic kids. Well worthy investment! Trust is essential when leaving your kids with strangers and even as a paranoid couple we felt 100% at ease with happy kids and Brenda. Michael Pondrom

Our 2-1/2 year old has been attending A Caring Place since he was approx. 5 months old. We've had…read morea positive experience so far. The initial phasing-in went smoothly across a week's span. And then the phasing-in into each new class (ie. from Infant to Toddler) was well orchestrated too, with flexibility. What's nice/convenient is that your child can be at this school from baby-time all the way thru 5/6-years of age. The only part that we felt was sort of "up in the air" was communication from the school during the application process. We visited/toured when we were in our third trimester of pregnancy & submitted an application at that time. We didn't find out until around 3 or 4 months after my son was born (around 6 months since applying) that he would be accepted to the school. So, we scrambled a little to find quick daycare for one month & then eased into the school. This is our only child, so we've learned our lesson for next time around to apply much earlier. We like that there is structure to their days, yet they are able to learn on their own. Our son comes home with a lot of artwork that they've worked on at school...as well as a lot of stories about his day (lunch, snacks, playing, friends, teachers). We also liked that there was a daily report at the end of each day in the Infant & Toddler Too classes. It's nice to get a quick summary of the child's day. We would recommend this school, but be sure to apply early. Oh, and the tuition is ok. It's one of the better rates we found when we were searching for a daycare/school. Of course, tuition is not cheap, but it's do-able.
