It's only right that I review the place where I've spent 3/4 of my life over the past three years!…read moreThe university's campus is seriously indescribable. It's beautiful with an abundance of wildlife on campus. (Hello rabbits! Lots of them.) The loch is huge and great for talking a walk around. The campus even has its own castle within which the university's law department is based. - Airthrey Castle is worth taking a wander to see and is alongside Airthrey golf course if you're partial to a putt! In my two years living on campus, I was so impressed. The university is acclaimed for its sports department and the gym and swimming pool are just a short walk from the residences and main buildings. These are both very well-maintained and offer great value. There is also the Macrobert Arts Centre which is essentially a cinema and theatre with a bar and restaurant. I've seen so many films in Macrobert centre, seen some great productions and my band even played a gig there. Whilst all these things are great, the thing that I take away most from Stirling, and that I hear from so many other students, is the excellence of the support system for students. The Career Development Centre offers advice from the moment you leave until you retire and the university takes great interest in the university alumni. I myself called graduates one year on to guage graduate employment rates and have participated in another campaign to reach out to parents of new students and collate feedback on the university. There is also a great councilling and money advice service on campus. In my final year of study, I know that I am in safe hands. - If I need help, it is there and I need not be ashamed to ask for it. I couldn't imagine a better place to have met my boyfriend and my band! Stirling University will always make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Well, I am biased. I spent five years studying here and two years living right on campus. However,…read morethis means I have a pretty expansive knowledge of the campus so I will try to be as even handed as possible. It's beautiful. It has a castle, a loch, a golf course, trees, trees, trees. The residence buildings are very sixties architecture which doesn't so much do the beautiful setting justice. However, the University is currently rebuilding and renovating the residence buildings and they're all shiny, new and modern. There's a cinema on campus and a theatre in the form of the MacRobert Centre. I've seen movies in the place, had a coffee fuelled history seminar in the cafe and been to an insane electro rave here. They even put panto on at Christmas. Anyway, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for this place!

Having studied at the Falkirk campus for a while, it is always refreshing to be in this building,…read morethe open spaces and the huge glass panels leave the whole campus feeling like one big open space. The staff who I have had the pleasure of dealing with have been lovely and very helpful, without ever seeming put out. The library doesn't have the widest selection of books, but there are still enough to give students the chance to study here and not be too limited by the resources. My time spent here has been fairly limited and mostly it has just been for interviews or to use the library, but I do like the venue and would be happy to study here. Much nicer campus than the older Falkirk building, but the friendly and approachable staff are consistent throughout all of the branches of the college.

She is very social and easy going kid but even after two months we have stopped going at this nursery when we were driving by she was telling us ''oh not again here''. The facilities are ok but the kids are not allowed to go everywhere as they have told us before we start, instead they had the kids in one room maybe because this way it was less messy. The most serious negative points were two, telling lies and not be typical with sign in/ out procedures. They have told me lie about she eating foods that she dislike them and it wasn't possible to have try them. The sign in and out I thing it is very important about safety reasons like in case of fire and to be sure about who will be possible to take your kid. If you don't have to sign out anyone can take my kid?? And one last thing, they were suppose to keep files for her progress, crafts she was doing or photos doing activities.... nothing, we end up with nothing. Actually they have told me the have to do it now and I will have it after 2-3 months..... what?? They have not done it when they should so now they will fill the progress forms with what? Lies? I am sure they won't remember anything about her progress and since they don't keep any records why I had to wait for 2-3 months to collect lies? Very disappointed.

The catering department provides the meals for the schools that are in the campus, they also provide food for a cafe that is open to the public in the campus. The food is pretty good and very good value for money. It is a good place to meet friends for a coffee and a bite to eat without having to go into the town centre. The hairdressing/beauty department can also be used by the public to get your hair cut - it is just like a normal hairdressers with the exception that your hair is being cut by a trainee. They do a wonderful job and the prices are excellent. Bookings can be made in person at the campus or over the phone, they can get quite busy at times but it is worth waiting for.
