Despite the quaint, cottage-like vibe that Rose Lane would like to present to the rest of South Liverpool, like it is a village surrounded by a city, in my opinion Rose Lane is in fact nothing more than the prettiest traffic jam you will have. Its tiny space is constantly filled with parked cars on either side and during peak times buses and bikes will jostle between cars for unlikely room to maneouvre. Rose Lane is deceptive and it is mainly because of cutesy, teeny-tiny places like The Little Room.
My mates mum lives on Rose Lane and he says she can't get enough of this place and all it's little miniature watering cans and flowery, chintzy ornaments. Of course she is a middle aged primary scholl teacher and we are not so if you too are a lady of mature years with grown children maybe you too will like The Little Room's assortment of rose coloured, flowery tat. Maybe you also think Rose Lane is a nice out of the way place and not a rush hour hell hole. read more
