Don't listen to the review about Ranney being unsafe. In fact it's safe to the point of…read moreasphyxiation at times, even for the oldest students. I graduated from the Ranney school within the last ten years. I want to start by saying that the Ranney school falls somewhere between 3 and 3.5 stars. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of the select few educators and employees who I encountered while a student there who had a profound impact on me. The good - Ranney is a fantastic academic institution. It prepares you extremely well for college. I attended a top university and I probably would not have tried as hard in high school if Ranney had not been such a structured environment. Therefore, I can only assume that if I went to public school I would have had more distractions and probably gotten into a lot more trouble (although I was always in trouble at Ranney. Zero tolerance policy for teenage bullshit) - As I said before, a few of the teachers and administrators there are extremely talented. I won't name names but a lot of them left and a lot of them stayed. - The campus is beautiful and sprawling over sixty acres. It's colorful and you could walk around it and get lost in it. The bad - Ranney gives you a false sense of superiority and after college you are in shock when you find out that the real world doesn't give a rats ass about you. - Due to it's high tuition (I think it was 25k when I was a senior and now it's up to 32k) the people who attend Ranney are spoiled because their parents have money. - Because it's such a small school there will be favorites and students that seem to be getting preferential treatment. I may have witnessed cases of this but one can argue that this is just the nature of education. I don't have a conclusive opinion on this matter. Overall, if you are thinking about going to Ranney or sending your child there, please consider the following last words: Parents, get involved in your child's education and the school itself. If you plan on keeping your child in Ranney for the long run you should be on a first name basis with the teachers, administrators, and staff. If you don't, I promise you it will hurt your child's chances of being anymore than a statistic at the school. Also, remember to budget 5k over the tuition. Everything is extra. Kids, if you are anything like me and you have the brains to succeed but you don't have the maturity when you are in high school, give Ranney a try. If you don't like it after a year, leave. Also, if you decide to go be very careful about what you share with the school. It's not like public school. What you do or say will spread around the bubble like wildfire. If you wish to know more feel free to message me.

The environment is horrible, making it not worth the money, especially since few of their graduates attend better schools than local public high schools.

Not having the staff to supplement another who may be absent shouldn't dictate my 2yr old and others that age to be blended in with the 6yr olds for the day as if it's frequent or normal! The underlying issues clearly lie within the staff and not knowing their roles or even the owners not applying a more complete structured system focused on the aspects of child development and welfare that can be applied for assurance. Not to mention the amount of unassured instances I've personally deal with from the unawareness and uncertifed staff that oversees my childs day. When asked what do they have to say for themselves...mostly unavailable or speak with a lower directive or deny the allegations that face them! Meanwhile my child suffers psychologically and her behaviors are becoming more rambunctious where I have to constantly try and restore the balance that is taught at home! They must be justice

The girls that work both the infant and toddler rooms are A*mazing. The staff is consistent, always the same faces, the meals are clean and they tend to my daughters allergies. Her teachers (I'll update later with names) hold her everyday while I leave because she gets upset. SCRATCHES AND SCRAPES ARE NORMAL...My daughter falls all the time at home...new walkers, honestly this is inevitable. The staff ALWAYS calls me and there is an incident report in her cubby when I pick her up!!! I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD that there are cameras in every room and an APP for my phone so family and I can see her ANYTIME!!! The App also allows me to update info so her teachers are aware of what she has had to eat or drink prior to dropping her off! SERIOUSLY!!!?? The school is clean and there's a routine and curriculum for each room. I get a email report of what my daughter ate, how much, what she learned and when she was changed and if it was a b/m!! Call me crazy but one night i opened the camera app at night and low and behold there was a gentleman cleaning and vacuuming, they probably have a cleaning crew come in and clean ...I'm not even kidding!! Slip on booties are provided for parents to wear over shoes for the infant room to keep floors clean for crawling babies. When walking in there is a board that lets you know of any health incidents and what room!! I would also like to add that each parent is given a passcode to enter in and a button to press to exit. Honestly, it's not easy being away from my little one. I work a lot and as a single mom these women go above and beyond to take care of my daughter. I commute to bring my daughter because THATS what's best for my baby. Every holiday staff make a hand print picture with cute saying as keepsakes. I just love this place. Listen, I'm writing this review for moms that really want to know what's up because at the end of the day my little one spends more time sometimes with these ladies than with me and the reality here is I give credit where credit is due!! Thank you kiddie academy, you've played an important role in my level of success today and I just had to share how great full I am!!
