Hi, I have lived as a Resident at CCCG nursing home since September 2020, and still live here. I am a 71 year old woman. I know the Kitchen staff well and I am really pleased to give some "shout outs" to those I know best. First, the morning full-time chef, Rose, is first rate in her job! It's a fine breakfast menu and Rose makes sure that the food is delivered hot and on time. Pretty impressive when you realize that this is about a 200-bed facility. And, there are many special menus each and every day either for dietary reasons, or at the requests of doctors, or for special requests to due any particular medical testing a Resident may be undergoing. Rose makes sure we all get what we need. Add to that the fact that Rose is a lovely and caring person. She has always been ready to help me in any way possible. Now, I do not know every member of the Kitchen staff by name, but I do know some by name who also deserve a "shout out." Specifically, Lloyd, who I think is the Assistant Manager of the Kitchen. He has never failed to make sure I get my many "special requests" for dinner and has even been known to personally deliver it to my room so it's not late. He's got a bit of a race to get from the lower lobby all the way up 3 stories to my 2nd floor room (at the very end of the hallway) and he always does it with a smile. Another special staff member is Barbara who is a safe bet to pitch in where necessary whenever needed. Always with a smile and friendly attitude towards all of us. I'm beginning to think that her job is just do everything! Also, I absolutely do not want to leave out those staff who are known for doing a yeoman's job throughout the entire process of "working on the line" for each meal and every day. They work from the very start to the very finish when all is cleaned and prepped for the next meal or the next day. The men are Anthony, Luke, Norman and King. They are all great and very friendly toward the Residents. It's really an "all hands on deck" process in the Kitchen. The women are all part of the process along with the men as they work side by side in a rhythmic dance of their very own, all without crashing large, heavy food carts into each other, or more importantly, into a Resident! When I see them doing this work as I pass them on my way to the beautiful, large outdoor patio I just think "Wow, I'm glad I'm retired!" ‍ So when speaking of the Kitchen staff service at CCCG as a whole I must add back in Barbara and the other women I see, but unfortunately do not know their names. In addition, there are the other men whose names I don't know. They all work alongside each other. I wish I did know all of their names especially as they are so darn friendly and always have a hello for any of us. But I did warn you at the beginning that I am a 71 year old woman and I blame my inability to remember the name of all of the staff members at CCCG on my age. I gave you fair warning at the beginning of this review. ‍ In selecting a nursing home I hope that you find my review useful for yourself or your loved one. Overall, I am happy here.

I asked for some juice, which seemed to be a big deal and impossible to accommodate. I was told several times that they would put an order in with the kitchen. An hour later-still nothing. The women across the hall yelled "help" for over an hour. I saw nurses and aides continuously pass her room, yet not enter. About 3-4 aides, within earshot were talking And laughing -not a care in the world. After three days and ZERO physical therapy, bad food, and neglect, we took her home and are trying to manage on our own. 2 stars instead of 1 because there was one nurse's aide who really took time to thoroughly clean her up.

Being there, one patient died and they blamed each other, another screamed for help nobody went after certain time to find out he felt. My father was there for therapy, they didn't give his medication on time, they give us actitud when we called for help. My father felt and they didn't have a legal paper for an incident report, the supervisor didn't know employees involved last name. this is the worst place to put your family for care. They're not compassionate of caring, staff are not trained to handle patients.

My mother was briefly in this facility recently. It was a shocking experience. The facility was run…read moredown and dirty. While everyone we met was very nice, several repeatedly verbalized how understaffed they are and how poor the facilities are. The air conditioning did not work, nor did the television remote. The room was clearly meant for one person and my mother was a second patient stuck in a small space. On more than one occasion her oxygen machine began to squirt water all over her face and one time when I reported it I was told "oh that is okay." I was shocked that anyone could walk in and out, even at 9 oclock at night. I appreciated the kindness of several staff members, but having a parent there was scary and we felt helpless. I am not sure if I would be writing a review if the above was the worst of it. Unfortunately, on the second day my sibling showed up at 1pm and found that my mother was still asleep. At that point we learned that she had not woken up at all that day for longer than a few minutes. When asked whether she had spoken at all we were told yes, she had repeatedly said "Help me." She was left in bed and ignored, and nobody told us. My sister tried to wake her up and eventually the daughter of another patient came to help her, but she would not wake. When she said she needed to return to the hospital she experienced resistance, and later my sister overheard staff talking about how stupid it was for her to leave. Needless to say, when she arrived at the hospital she ended up in ICU and we are still working to understand what happened. We are not able to comment on the quality of the rehab work since it never occurred. I do not question whether there are good people working at this facility (we saw it), but it is very clear that they lack the staff, training, and resources for the job. I will forever live with the guilt of allowing my mother to stay there, though.

Our family is not happy about the constant, new owners (3 in 3 + years) and the staff comes and goes like a revolving door! Staff is great but Management at Monarch is not. And they do not take care of their staff or treat them with respect which is Unfortunate! If any more of the staff, especially those above mentioned, leave, we will pull our family member out and stop referring others to Brandywine.

It's a lovely place that doesn't feel like an assisted living facility (it feels more like an upscale hotel or a country club but does feel homey) and is well-maintained and clean. The staff is super helpful and has given us great comfort knowing she is well taken care of.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the security in this place is top notch. Everyone needs to sign in, get a visitors pass, and sign out when they leave. Even if you are going to your car for a second. The grounds are very well kept. And the inside is just as nice. I don't think I've ever seen a place like that, that nice! I cannot describe how nice it is lol! My father-in-law is in a wing where the people don't stay, they are there for short-term rehab. That area is a little dated, and isn't as nice as the rest of the building.... It reminds me of a sterile hospital. But the rest of the building where the permanent / partial live alone residents live is very nice. It feels like a hotel lol! There is a common area/ living room? That we hang out in. It is Very well kept. A small issue is the parking lot isn't big enough if there are many visitors. I had to wait 20 minutes for a spot the other day.... While other people kept parking illegally! I didn't know that you could park across the street at aldi or dollar store. All in all, it is a very nice facility. Slight parking issue, older part of the building isn't as nice, but super friendly staff, you can tell that they care about their jobs and where they work! If you or a loved one needs to go into rehab, this is definitely a top notch facility.

Staff is excellent, and that's the most important part for us. Nursing team is top notch, caring, and professional. Nurse Lisa runs the health-care team and she is easy to work with and has excellent medical judgment. Nurse Julie is also great. If your parent needs a place like this, Brighton Gardens is a good choice, I can whole heartedly recommend them

My mother currently lives in this retirement home, and after a year and a half she is still not…read morecomfortable. We were warned that this is a deficient facility, but were persuaded to come because it is under new administration. Aides wake her up at 6 am, though she needs only one medication per day which could be administered any time. and when she fell recently, the aides took half a day to come to help her. One serious problem is that the staff turns around frequently. Several staff members are long-time employees and get to know residents and care about them. but many are there for short stints, even just for weekends it seems. It makes me wonder if the short stints are a policy to save the company money. I have been in the 'memory care' or Alzheimer's wing, to visit my father with my mother, and there are aides there who ignore pleas for help by residents. Some are attentive and others just call out to feeble and distracted residents to 'sit down!.' We moved my parents to this facility, hoping my mother would count on the professional help that Brighton Gardens brags about in its advertisements and in the recorded message you hear while waiting, and waiting, to be connected to an aide. But I'm afraid we'll have to look for another residence and move them again. For a high price you get low level service and anxiety at Brighton Gardens.

Staff is much more attentive and it is nice that they know residents names and stories as well as say hello all the time. Rooms and residents are clean. Food is decent probably the weakest point but sad to say hard to cook for a crowd. Doctor care is great as member as improved, and gained weight, and medications better regulated for dementia and overall health. No place can be perfect but glad to find a place where we feel some comfort that family is comfortable and decently taken care of.
