I will post the recording of Shasta being very callous and matter of fact on the phone about you having no obligation to honor the debt Shasta kept promising to honor long after the sell of the business I knew nothing about, so feel free to deny your 'great' employee did not promise me time and time again to honor the debt. You want to talk about obligations?? It's not my obligation to know that Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic was sold or that the 'great' Shasta had no authority to keep promising me the debt would be honored. If she says otherwise, she is the liar. Also, ask the 'great' Shasta why I had to repeatedly call to even find out you are too sorry to honor the word of your 'great Shasta. Ask the other employee who took my call when the 'great' Shasta was supposedly at lunch promising me after she said she spoke with the 'great' Shasta to call me back at 1:00 PM. She didn't and days went by when I was forced to called her back again!! Your employee must not have had the authority to make those repeated promises. Now, you know she did and caused me to pay you for more services for my new puppy from which you benefited. I feel cheat, scammed, deceived. I am the ONLY one in this matter who was not aware of the sell of Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic. If Shasta is so great she should have told me when I reminded her of the promises made to me after my dog was killed by medicine sold to me by Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic. All she said is CJ's file is in old stored records and the business has gone digital. She said absolutely nothing about the business being sold. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROMISES MADE TO ME BY YOUR 'GREAT' EMPLOYEE. That would be the right thing to do. Then, you can seek out the old owner and recoup your loss. I am the victim in this matter. It's sad you refuse to admit it. I am happily taking my business elsewhere -- to an honest business. This is an update December 23, 2020: Dr.' Chris has refused to honor the repeated promises of his office manager. He is refusing even after finding out his employee led me on for months believing the debt owed to me by Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic would be honored. This is fraud, in my opinion. I would beware of doing business with this man. If you disagree with him or call him out on his own hypocrisy, he will drop you as a client as he did me. He made false accusations against me on here, as well. He dropped another client who posted on YELP, as well. In her case, the owner claimed some high standards to which he lives. If he, truly, lived by them, he would honor the repeated word of his employee to me. Knowingly or unknowingly, Shasta Allen, his office manager led me to believe the $55.00 owed to me would be honored. Again, the owner knows this now, so he should not hide behind his original excuse of he didn't take on the debt owed to me by Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic from the previous owner. This clinic used to have a very good (what I would term) country doctor, but she retired. The new doctors aren't forward thinking for your pet. They will put the needs of your pet behind office procedure. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes. The doctor said he would order the insulin. (Dr Karnes said most doctors and pharmacies don't stock it). I asked him to write a prescription as well. The next day my dog had some bad reactions and it scared me. He was violently throwing up and was disoriented. It was a Saturday and a little before noon so I called the vet. I wanted to know if I got the prescription filled, where in my dog would I inject the insulin. They would not tell me over the phone, stating that it was a company policy to only do this in person. My confusion here was that they wrote the prescription wouldn't they assume I would need to know how to administer? conversation got quite heated on my part because the doctor would not actually get on the phone - he used his receptionist to relay this and she had to put me on hold several times while clearly going back and forth between us. I don't excuse my heated conversation but I will say this, during the entire conversation never once did they ask what lead me to call, they kept saying they wouldn't tell me how/where to administer the insulin unless I was there., but they never asked what was going on that I would need the insulin sooner than when we talked in the office My dog's health was not top of mind. I called every local pharmacy to find out no one stocks it so I figured I would go to the doctor Monday or Tuesday and pick it up and "get schooled " on administering. I called Monday to ask if they expected the insulin on Monday or Tuesday. The receptionist said maybe that afternoon or Tuesday but then she asked me if I'd gotten the email. I said no I hadn't. I gave her my email address and we hung up. When I read the email it basically said they would no longer treat my pets and that I would not be able to get the insulin from them. Customer service is not top of mind here, there were several options they could have taken with me and my dog. The one they took hurts my dog more than me, but clearly they were looking for a punitive action with this email. This doctor told me during the visit on Friday that diet didn't have much to do with managing diabetes and to stay the course we were currently on. As I've researched I've realized diet does have a great impact on a dog with diabetes and you really should strive to get very low carb food. I believe this doctor isn't good for much more than simple vaccinations. He hides behind his staff and doesn't put the need of your pet before his office policies which is to say he is arrogant and not helpful. This used to be a good place to bring your pet. Now it isn't. Update to Dr comments: I lateR found out I can purchase Vetsulin from Denver Animal Emergency and Animal Hospital of Cornelius. But no thanks to this doctor. My dog ended up with DAE for 5 days with pancreatitis and diabetes due to lack of treatment. No doubt this doctor will blame me because that seems to be his pattern. I needed some reassurance during that time and a doctor who as I stated earlier knows what they are doing. I think anyone who is going through a severe illness with a pet can understand how traumatic it is and the search for answers is huge. Although I agree I was curt , I was not vulgar but a follow up call from the doctor the next day would have been the right thing to do. The fact that they would fire me as a patient without calling me or trying to make sure my pet was cared for is the part that shows what kind of doctor they truly are. read more

Please please please run as fast as you can with both your pet and your wallet this is the most unbelievable horrible veterinarian clinic I have ever experienced in my tenure of owning pets at 44 years old please for what I'm allowed to say do not take your self or your pet to this passivity there is a better facility in Mooresville North Carolina that will handle you and your pet and your wallet much more professional much more kind and much more honest thank you read more

Absolutely wonderful experience with our 11 year old beagle. Daisy had a dental infection that was diagnosed quickly and treated. Surgery went off without a hitch and the communication was awesome. I felt that they respected both me and my finances during the entire treatment. Follow up was also great. Daisy also loved going there and she is a very picky dog about who she likes. I decided last year to switch vets since LMVC is closer to my home. Both of my dogs had their yearly check up and shots in September 2020. One of mine needed her rabies shot only in March 2021. So I took her, thinking it would be a rabies shot only. Then when they said the bill was $71, I asked why? They said that it was for the rabies shot ($21) and for the exam ($50). I told them that I only asked for the rabies shot. They said we always do an exam even for rabies. I was never told this when I made the appointment. I could understand if I was not an established patient, but they were just seen in September. Talk about hidden cost. I won't be going back and will tell everyone what happened so at least they will be aware. And I called my old vet and for a rabies shot for an established patient they do not do an exam. Little bit further down the road but at least they won't charge for an exam for just a rabies shot. Not good business when you can't go in (understandable due to COVID) and they do not explain what they will be doing and then charge you. read more

Been very pleased with our service at Little mountain. They have tended to my geriatric Labrador and have her back on her feet again smiling and wagging her tail. She's on maintenance medications for arthritis, as she is 14.5 yrs old, and they make getting her meds affordable and easy. read more

I had always been happy until today with their practices. Very sick kitty. I have 6 rescues, have fixed them all and maintained immunizations. I rescue, not euthanize. However, I took one of "my girls" in today..She was exposed to FELV 3 years ago as a kitten, to another rescue I had to put down. 6 months later, I had her tested, no FELV, so I immunized. It's been 2 1/2 years and the last three days she has stopped eating, drinking and lethargic, some weight loss. I know my animals. Kelsey is very ill and I believe it is FELV. The outcome for FELV is bleak..I called LM Vet and took her in, believing euthansia was the outcome. I can't stand the thought of my animals suffering. Because Kelsey has been healthy for the last two years and I had no proof of a current rabies immunization (I get all that I can with local vet, Dr. Inscoe, because of cost and his excellent care, but availability is sketchy...and deserved), LM Vet wouldn't even touch her...and if I couldn't prove current rabies, they would not euthanize if needed...and if my Kelsey didn't act sick while they observed, they wouldn't do it either. I know my cats! All six of my rescues! I know their sleeping habits, their eating habits, what food they like and don't like, the way they like loved on, their language/their talk. All I heard was revenue for a rabies shot...on a much loved cat I am losing, that is suffering, in need of my care and care I can't get without a shot she doesn't need! I have all the evidence to substantiate FELV, she does not have rabies, she is not rabid. What good will a rabies shot do, except revenue to the vet...I, like everyone else, have paid hundreds to LM Vet for her services, but I have been fortunate the last 18 months to have kept my animals well. The office was completely empty, except of staff and myself...I asked to talk to Dr. Cannady, with no response. Now, I won't go back to her...I didn't recognize compassion for my Kelsey or myself. The wonderful team at Little Mountain were all caring and professional during a very difficult visit. I brought my 10 year old boxer in to be checked, as he is losing weight rapidly, and sadly the x-rays showed widespread advanced cancer. Dr. Cannady explained everything to me thoroughly and with compassion, and all the staff members were so gentle and patient with my senior dog. While being straightforward about his condition and what we can expect, Dr. Cannady was sympathetic and kind, and offered practical advice on caring for him day-to-day. This is by far the best veterinary clinic around. My mother has been bringing her two dogs and three cats there for years and recommends them to everyone. I recently got a puppy and my mom wouldn't let me take her anywhere else except to see Dr. Cannady and the staff at Little Mountain, even though I live 30 minutes away and pass at least 6 vets to get there. It is well worth the trip. Dr. Cannady and the staff at Little Mountain are very nice and genuinely care about your animals. Our puppy was sick and the staff called to check up on her, which I've never heard of a vet doing unless they want you to come back in to earn more money. I would HIGHLY recommend this vet! You will not be disappointed with the services, prices, Dr. Cannady or the staff. read more
