We only saw the North Unit on our visit so we will definitely have to visit more at a later date. While visiting I felt so at peace and love that it's not overcrowded like other National Parks and that you really feel surrounded by nature and wildlife. We enjoyed driving along the scenic path and soaking in the stunning views! We saw cannonball concretions, stunning views from the overlooks along the way, and saw lots of bison. There are lots of hiking trails to explore and we saw deer. We look forward to coming back and hopefully seeing wild horses and prairie dogs. The park is large with so much to see and do. An absolutely gorgeous place to visit that is so underrated! Highly recommend visiting this place!

It's the kind of place where you can pull over at almost any turnout and find something worth photographing. Wildlife was everywhere, bison wandering right along the road, prairie dogs popping in and out of their little towns, and even a few wild horses in the distance. What I appreciated most was how quiet and calm everything felt. Even with other visitors around, there's a sense of space that makes you feel like you have whole sections of the park to yourself. If you're anywhere near North Dakota, this place is absolutely worth the stop. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

For a campground that boasts lovely cottonwood trees, we were dismayed that the east side tent spots lacked consistent shading. We checked in on a Tuesday and leaving by Friday, so why not give us a prime shady location? Maybe Medora you could note that on your website- tent, no shade, near the berm, etc. I would have paid the extra implied cost to have a reliably shady tent space. Bathrooms were not at all like other reviews described. They were clean and well draining. And they were convenient for the tent campers. I loved that the river was accessible. We did lots of Little Muddy swimming and rock exploiting. So cool to be right next to TRNP. I will camp here again. In an RV, or note the shady request in my reservation request.

We have a 20ft travel trailer and appreciate the pull through sites so we can stay "hooked up". We can easily walk on a quiet local street to Walmart. The site has maintained grass and a sturdy picnic table. The secured bathhouse and laundry suites are very clean and well maintained. The internet performs well and is included in the nightly rate which is reasonable. We have observed that the tent sites are great- level, grassy and partially shaded. For tenters there are nearby places to take safe shelter for severe weather alerts. We really appreciate the owner's commitment to maintain and upgrade the facilities. The new roadway surfaces are great! The staff have always been extremely helpful and pleasant. Keep up the great work North Park, we appreciate you!!

Great camping spot at a well maintained property not far from Theodore Roosevelt NP. They are on…read morethe little Missouri and they have a trail head to the Maah Daah Hey trail. There are kind of three sections: First section is an open area for RV with utilities, next is an area for camping with horses and stalls, and the last area (where we stayed) is a forest area with much vegetation and no utilities. The forest area is close to a very small and summer mosquito creek. All have a picnic table and fire pit. Where we stayed with our 25' RV was very tight and the entry says no higher than 10' which we are 12'. We brushed trees and shrubs, and we were not the only ones to manage to squeeze in. Not for large RV's in the forest area. Booking can be done online and on-site, but it was full during our September visit. Someone even tried to take our site with the reserved sign noting it was taken. No issues and they moved on. There is a shower house, bathrooms, dump station, water and trash. Good place to stay and hike especially while the National Park was closed to camping. It is down a 1/2 mile gravel road and a state ranger station and camp host are on site.

Here at Sully Creek State Park you can see an active stream of water eroding part of the Badlands. The Little Missouri River erodes each part of its surroundings including the stones. Which gave my husband, Peter, and Esther a great experience skipping rocks on the water. This river gives the animals around a source of water. We have seen deer and a fox while simply driving into this park. This is definitely a great place to touch, view, and experience the river that has been shaping this landscape for thousands of years.

She would not give me a site number to go look at it in advance so I completed our transaction because we were staying a week plus one day and then one of the workers lead us to our site. As I looked I could not believe what I was seeing !!!! We were wedged in between a tree and a fire hydrant and when my front stairs came down they landed approximately 2 to 3 feet from the sewer hose for the RV next to us. We also had a great view of broken down grills and picnic tables and the workers RV which was tucked in behind us, we had no space at all and it smelled like poop !!!! We read reviews before coming in, and we didn't listen,we came anyways and we regretted it for a week. Warning warning warning stay away from this campground !!!
