They did have a cancellation for the first night and "let me stay". The next morning I left my things in the room when i went to work hoping for a cancellation. When i returned the next day after work I was told the housekeeper was gathering my things. I told them I wouldn't accept that since I didn't trust them and I wanted to get my things myself. They then called the police on me and said I was refusing to leave. Luckily the officer was nice and helped me get my things. Then, it turns out they overcharged me for the room. They never once even offered to find me another room. The next closest hotel is 30 miles away. It is the middle of winter, I'm a woman alone and it was 5 below zero. Rudest people ever.

Checking out was quick & easy.. The hotel is in Medora North Dakota in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Theodore is the restaurant on premises. The hotel & our room have a rustic charm. In the lobby is an immense hearth reaching to the tin-tiled ceiling, with walls housing a large, private & accessible library of books on, and by, Theodore. We were able to walk around the shops & restaurants in Medora & we were in the park in minutes. We were told animals run wild here. There was a 12 car parking lot & we never got a spot so we parked around the corner on the street. Sarah and the volunteers from Thailand were helpful and friendly. I was surprised that there wasn't housekeeping services, I went down to the desk for clean towels, a laundry bag & took out our garbage. Went down again, for tissues & toilet paper. There was no breakfast served here. There were soda and candy vending machines. I was surprised that there was carpeting in our room and all over the hotel. I was a little grossed out coming inside with my muddy dirty shoes. At home, I would've left them at the door; here I just don't want to touch the carpeting. The fitness room is not a priority, the elliptical worked poorly.

It was very clean, nicely decorated, and the bed was suuuuuuper comfy! Check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly. The bathroom toilet paper holder was broken and the shower was a little weird when it came to getting the water hot, but it worked just fine. Having never been to a casino before, I learned how to play Blackjack and had a great time! I stayed away from the machines because I didn't really understand how they worked. My ONLY disappointment was that we had to leave the hotel to eat. None of the restaurants were open and I do wish they'd made that clear when we checked it. I understand now that the restaurant isn't open on Mondays and that's fine, but it would've been nice to have that made clear upon check-in. (We drove down the road and ate at Teddy's and it was great.) I enjoyed my time here and would like to come back one day! The whole area is full of beauty and recreation.

The girl at the bar with the dark hair -- the bigger girl -- was rude as hell. She didn't smile, say hello, or even thank us. She definitely seemed unhappy with her job. These employees need a lot more training, and management needs to pay closer attention to how their staff treats customers. If corporate or the CEO wants more people to visit and spend money here like I did, they need to train their employees better and improve customer service. Nobody wants to help when you ask for it.

I stayed at Little Missouri Inn from September 5th-8th, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. During my stay, I found a bug in the bed and reported it immediately to the front desk. Instead of offering a solution, the staff member just said she would "pass it on to management." No room change, no apology, nothing. When I later followed up, I was told by management that I had supposedly been offered another room -- which never happened. If I had been, I absolutely would have taken it. To make matters worse, I was told "it was just a tick," which is not only dismissive but also a legitimate health and sanitary concern. I tried to resolve this fairly through the hotel, but the hotel refused to take responsibility and made it clear they trusted their employee's word over mine, even though I provided details and documentation. I travel often and understand that problems can happen, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service here were unacceptable. I cannot recommend staying at this hotel based on how my concerns were handled. So unless you want to sleep with ticks and front office attitude and lack of professionalism I'd stay anywhere else.
