Couldn't seem to get my check-in information correct and then had such a hard time handling cash that I thought the poor girl had never seen that much actual cash before in her life, haha! The room really wasn't anything much to brag about and for the money, I would rate this a menial value for the amount charged at best. I would have rated at zero stars however, that was not an option...save your money folks and drive on down the road to Dickinson...this place is a joke and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO IN KILLDEER!!!! Make sure to read the one "filtered" review from the gentleman from Pocatello Ladies and Gentlemen prior to reserving a room at this "establishment"...click on the "filtered" button below...and disregard the review from "Jessica" below...obviously she works at this place...obviously an advertisement, LOL! Yeah, so I did a little more research into this Jessica J. character and found that she did 15 reviews back in November all for different Cobblesone Inns...and get this, they were ALL IDENTICAL...check her out! LOL! This place deserves a single star at best once you disregard the Jessica J. reviews. BEWARE!!!

They did have a cancellation for the first night and "let me stay". The next morning I left my things in the room when i went to work hoping for a cancellation. They then called the police on me and said I was refusing to leave. Luckily the officer was nice and helped me get my things. Then, it turns out they overcharged me for the room. They never once even offered to find me another room. The next closest hotel is 30 miles away. It is the middle of winter, I'm a woman alone and it was 5 below zero. Rudest people ever.

Checking out was quick & easy.. The hotel is in Medora North Dakota in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Theodore is the restaurant on premises. The hotel & our room have a rustic charm. In the lobby is an immense hearth reaching to the tin-tiled ceiling, with walls housing a large, private & accessible library of books on, and by, Theodore. We were able to walk around the shops & restaurants in Medora & we were in the park in minutes. We were told animals run wild here. There was a 12 car parking lot & we never got a spot so we parked around the corner on the street. Sarah and the volunteers from Thailand were helpful and friendly. I was surprised that there wasn't housekeeping services, I went down to the desk for clean towels, a laundry bag & took out our garbage. Went down again, for tissues & toilet paper. There was no breakfast served here. There were soda and candy vending machines. I was surprised that there was carpeting in our room and all over the hotel. I was a little grossed out coming inside with my muddy dirty shoes. At home, I would've left them at the door; here I just don't want to touch the carpeting. The fitness room is not a priority, the elliptical worked poorly.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing, especially for a hotel charging over $300 per night…read more I was traveling alone with my two young children, and when we arrived, they were exhausted and falling asleep in the lobby. I asked about an early check-in, and although our room was already cleaned and ready, there was no flexibility in allowing us to check in early. I understand hotels have policies, but given the circumstances--and the fact that it was literally 100 degrees outside--a little consideration would have gone a long way. We also did not receive housekeeping during our stay, which was unexpected given the price point. My biggest frustration, though, has been with items I accidentally left behind in a drawer after checkout. I contacted the hotel hoping to have them returned, but more than a month later, they are still "looking" for them. I even had a co-worker stop by the hotel in person to pick them up, but unfortunately, the staff would not look for the items while she was there. I completely understand that leaving my belongings behind was my mistake. However, I had hoped for more effort and responsiveness in helping me recover them. Overall, it was the lack of flexibility and follow-through that made the experience so disappointing. On a positive note, everything else about our time in Medora was five stars. We loved the Library, the Musical, our trail ride, and the town itself. We had a wonderful time in Medora overall--I just wish our hotel experience had matched the rest of our trip.

If corporate or the CEO wants more people to visit and spend money here like I did, they need to train their employees better and improve customer service. Nobody wants to help when you ask for it.

I stayed at Little Missouri Inn from September 5th-8th, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. During my stay, I found a bug in the bed and reported it immediately to the front desk. Instead of offering a solution, the staff member just said she would "pass it on to management." No room change, no apology, nothing. When I later followed up, I was told by management that I had supposedly been offered another room -- which never happened. If I had been, I absolutely would have taken it. To make matters worse, I was told "it was just a tick," which is not only dismissive but also a legitimate health and sanitary concern. I tried to resolve this fairly through the hotel, but the hotel refused to take responsibility and made it clear they trusted their employee's word over mine, even though I provided details and documentation. I travel often and understand that problems can happen, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service here were unacceptable. I cannot recommend staying at this hotel based on how my concerns were handled. So unless you want to sleep with ticks and front office attitude and lack of professionalism I'd stay anywhere else.
