Stumbled on this place while driving on nearby I-85. Wanted something other than fast food for dinner so I gave it shot. I ordered the Veal Parmesan, and thought it was good. Not the best I've had but it was good. The veal had a good flavor to it and the spaghetti complemented the Veal nicely although the pasta sauce was a little bland. The portions were good sized as well. The staff was friendly. Probably my only complaint was that they did not offer Chianti by the glass so I had to settle for a Merlot but the wine was ok for a house wine.

Stopped of at this little gem on our way up North. Talk about authentic Italian Cuisine. Left with a circus in my mouth So many options on the menu, very inexpensive and the service was top notch. 3 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars from us

Stopped here for a break from fast food while traveling. Family of five. Cute little tiny spot. Served quickly and efficiently. Service was good. I guess things are a little different than what I'm used to back home. Clearly a family owned restaurant and the family was eating dinner next to us. In fact our server joined them and sat down to eat after serving us our entrees. It was a little weird asking her for anything because we felt like we were being rude by interrupting her dinner. I ordered a calzone that was hanging off of the plate so we needed an extra plate in order for me to cut it properly. It had WAY too much ricotta. However it was huge for the price. I ate about a fourth of it mostly because of taste. My son really liked it though. My husband had the chicken Marsala which was delicious and again huge portions. None of us were crazy about the marinara sauce, very sweet whether in the pizza, with spaghetti or a dipping sauce. The restrooms are one stall which I can always appreciate and decorated very nicely. Just so happens the trash can was overflowing. I didn't understand this because again, very tiny restaurant with a few tables and outside of the family eating there was only one other table being served. The kids of the family freely walked around which was totally fine until I saw one casually going in and out of the kitchen. Love the family feel, but a little too relaxed on sanitation for us to come back.

So good we had nothing left on the plate!

Such a great find off an exit with not a lot of options. The bread was amazing and they make it in-house.

$5.50 for 6 wings. The wings were decent but I did have to call back and ask for them to be fried a little longer because when you bit into it there was still that chewy fat. Holly was very nice about it and I brought them back so they could do so. After a little longer cook time they were much better. I wish she took something off or added something for my inconvenience is all. I ordered @1230 for lunch and didn't get out until 330 so I was very hungry and couldn't eat my food until I took it back to be cooked longer at 330. I'm not from this area but if I was I would give them another try.

Once again, driving from ATL to RIC, I returned to Little Italy Saturday, November 18, 2017. It was a little after 8pm. I ordered the 12" Deluxe Pizza ($12.99)and Fried Mushrooms ($5.00). Once again, the fried mushrooms were done to perfection. I ate about half. On to the pizza. It was a very conventional pizza, by which I mean it was good, but nothing earth-shattering. I ate 2 slices, and requested a box to take the rest home. I also took home a slice of tiramisu ($4.99) and the remaining mushrooms. Back at home, I ate the tiramisu. Very good. The next day, I grazed on the pizza all day long, enjoying every slice. In the evening, some 24 hours after they were first fried, I nuked the mushrooms and found them still surprisingly good. I hope to return next month. One minor nag: The cheese shaker on the table was packed with Parmesan, to the extent that it wouldn't shake out. So I had to unscrew the cap, and then shake it onto the pizza, resulting in more Parmesan on my pizza than usual. But that's not such a bad thing, is it?

We were on the road and picked a random place for take out. It was a successful guess. Pizza was fresh and delicious.

A place called Val's looked good from the reviews, but it was closed (on a Saturday?), we really didn't have many other choices in town so we figured we'd head to Cracker Barrel. Bad experience waiting in an almost empty restaurant, so we figured why not here? We've eaten here before, and liked it. I'm guessing they are under new ownership or something? Gone are the ladies we have seen before, and they do a robust take-out business, though you can still eat in and the service is just as fantastic. We weren't in the mood for pizza, so Italian entrees it was. First off, everything comes in take out containers now. It's not great for the environment, but I get it. In this economy it's tough for restaurants. If they can save some money not having a full time dishwasher, then so be it. We started with side salads - Hubby had the Ceasar, and it was good. Fresh ingredients and the dressing was pleasant. My side garden was the same - fresh, with plenty of cucumber, red onion and tomatoes. The blue cheese dressing surprised me, as it was filled with chunks of blue cheese. I'm sure they do t make it themselves, so I was not expecting that. Nice! Hubby had Manicotti and really enjoyed it. The sauce was balanced, not too sweet, plenty of ricotta stuffed inside and a ton of melted mozzarella on top. My baked spaghetti was the same. HUGE portions for a really reasonable price. And the garlic bread was so good! Crunchy on the outside and oh so soft on the inside. Lots of garlic butter, too. I almost purchased more to take back to the camper! All in all a nice experience. This is not a Michelin star place. As long as you keep your expectations realizing that, you'll enjoy it. It's a reasonably priced red sauce joint with a really nice staff. The next time we need to eat in Emporia, we'll be happy to stop here.

It's small inside, but they made it work. We had the man of the hour (EJ Wilson) with us and the first black mayor (female don't know her name) of Lawrenceville, VA, in attendance. So we came with the party, I guess...so you know it got packed quickly... (My nephew - EJ's High School Jersey Retirement) Pizza wasn't bad per the others. Mom had Chicken Philly, and I didn't think one could go wrong here, but... appeared slightly dry! Those pineapple were chunks straight out the can put on top of the pizza, and my son was not happy. I ordered the fried calamari.....it's thick ring made as if it was onion rings! Yup, hard pass for me; however, babe and mom ate them. French fries were slightly greasy. My shrimp Alfredo was soup...very little flavor. I ate the shrimp and garlic bread (sub roll smashed or flattened with butter garlic and parsley for decorative touch) crunchy but salty. Our waitress was hands down the best! She was the mayor's daughter also.....how sweet! Now, let's get into this service (more of an in-house clean your mess up and don't let it spill to your guest) Ashley/Amber can't recall her name, was amazing even with recommendations, and handled her table(s) like a champ. The other workers stood around. There were communication breakdowns in the dining hall that should not have happened in front of guests. One waitress gave extra tables to our waitress, when deciding what tables, the lady snapped and was like them and them while pointing, the tossed her hands up saying pick whatever you want the flung her hair and walked off. It's unprofessional and rather rude behavior. My recommendations for moving forward are a table system and assignment to keep business fair and well managed amongst the staff. As always, we pay for excellent service, and tipped our waitress well she gave excellent service under pressure with no sweat, even when the manager or owner came out being snippy to her unjustly, yes we could over hear this and see it. Poor business practice for him.
