I love Hallmark and I'm an avid collector. I am a KOC member and make a Wishlist every year. I buy a lot of ornaments at the ornament premier in July. I visited many Hallmark stores and usually enjoy every one. I visited the location at 310 Porters Vale Blvd in Valparaiso Indiana just a few days ago and everyone was very friendly. The assistant manager helped me with my ornaments, and we were talking about family. It was a nice visit. She even said she had remembered me from the year before. I told her I would be back for the 75% off sale and she welcomed me to come back. I went back in yesterday when the ornaments went on sale and was buying a lot of items. My family, sisters, and daughter-in-law all share these ornaments. They get passed around and we split the cost and each pick what we want. We do it every year and have such a fun time. These also make wonderful gifts! As I was adding my items to my cart a store employee was pulling an online order. She asked me several times if I had the items she was looking for. She said I'm trying to pull online orders as if I was doing something wrong. She asked me once again I had one specific ornament that she was looking for. I replied that I did. She said how many. I said I'm not sure as you have them held behind the counter for me, but I believe it was only one. She said I need it for my online order. I just looked at her and didn't respond. I was honestly over it at this point and just wanted to leave. I felt unwanted and I also feel that if I have that ornament in my cart and it is not on the shelf you should not be asking me about it. The person who checked me out was a different person and wonderful which is typical of Hallmark. I don't know what the problem was today with this Hallmark employee, but I don't think I'll be headed back to this location. read more
