I was able to recycle used motor oil, regular AA/AAA batteries, Bluetooth Speakers, Computer monitors, Computer towers, printers, scanners, perhaps anything I am allowed to recycle at this location. I have been going to the El Cerrito Recycling Center since 1998. This place has gone through a lot of changes especially the parking spaces (yes I will continuing mention that). Thankfully nobody has DARE to trash this location and it is a good thing that they manage to keep the area in great condition. Keep the great work!

Wonderful place to take stuff you need to get rid off…read more I finally got out here with some long fluorescent bulbs that have been in our garage for years and some printer cartridges. It's getting harder and harder to find places that take things like regular batteries, big bulbs and stuff like that but this place takes everything. It's really a well designed place - big giant half circle with all the bins you leave stuff with big signs. I couldn't figure out where to take the bulbs and some guy helped me right away. One thing my wife found out to be great - they take old planters - the things you put plants in. She's been leaving those out for people to take in front of our house and still has a lot. This place takes those. I wish I knew they took books too (just got rid of some old books). Great place and well run.

For you first timers...make sure you separate your aluminum cans from your plastic bottles. Drive in stay in your car, and wait your turn. Then when it's your turn get out of your car and dump your items onto one of two conveyor belts. The attendant will watch the system weigh your recycled items and then give you a ticket. You will then take your ticket to the window where the clerk will print you a check . After I figured out the process, it was pretty easy and I found it to be convenient. I recommend this place for your recycling needs. Now if I could just find a recycle place that also does high volume shredding. All would be good.
