This cute library box is located in front of a building that might once have been the downtown library. There is street parking in front of the box as long as you're not blocking the next door fire department.
The box is painted a lovely aquamarine blue with white accents. There is a single window and the door is secured by a simple twist catch. Inside, there are two shelves and they are stocked with what appear to be discontinued public library books as some still have their shelving code stickers attached. The inside is in excellent condition.
This is charter number 71117 and the steward is patridgel@krlibrary.org. The caption reads, "The Dawson Little Free Library was installed on August 9, 2018! We are so excited to have a little free library for the downtown community, for those who don't have transportation to cross the busy highway where the local library is located. This library is located directly in front of the old Carnegie Library, which has been restored."
