Hubs had been wanting to give this place a try for a while, so we decided to give this place a try…read more We ordered the following: Banana lumpia- I thought this wasn't bad. It was a bit sticky but ok. Hubs said he remembered this in the past when Chinese restaurants did this. He thought it was a little sweet for his taste, but it was delicious in a nostalgic way. Lumpia - This tasted like a Chinese vegetarian egg roll. I'm used to lumpias being thin and small but this was more like an egg roll. It was still pretty good. Lechon with sausages and bean vermicelli with vegetables. Hubs said the lechon was tasty. This is similar to Chinese roast pig. He said that the sausages had a sweet and salty umami essence and that it was also delicious. The bean vermicelli with vegetables were a nice high fiber filler which we're familiar with. Bitter melon with pork belly and gravy on rice. We thought the bitter melon was a little undercooked for our taste. But, when reheated, it was delicious. The pork belly with gravy was mixed nicely with the rice. The spare ribs and potatoes were also pretty good. Hubs said that he liked it and thought it was a nice mix with the rice. This place is a hole in the wall. There was only one table in there which someone was eating when we were there. We ended up eating in the car. Service was friendly . Will return to try other items on the menu.

Dinuguan, here is absolutely the best and I have eaten a lot of it in my lifetime, I buy the large size container and over steamed rice with a little vinegar it's FANTASTIC, it isn't for everyone, I am sure, because it is pork blood dish and people tend to think it will taste strange, but it is a such a savory dish, I literally have it twice a month. Again, this store has a lot of spices and sauces you can buy and I have to urge you to go by and try the hot plate food, don't be shy to try new stuff. Start with the pancit and lumpia, two favorites of mine and probably will be for you too!

Again, why I didn't write my review sooner is beyond me- it was in my notebook, but no check mark…read more Anyway- Small store by some standards, but I found that it had everything I needed to restock my pantry of items I had used up over the year. I usually wait to buy my supplies before winter hits. I have a very hard time finding the Chinese sausage the Kam Yen Jan brand, not sure why it's hit and miss at stores, but it is, not sure if it just not popular in the east coast as much as it is in the west coast where I could buy it at any Asian market. Thought and suggestions on where I could purchase, would be greatly appreciated, because when I do find it, I usually buy about 10 packages. Super nice staff, the hot food section was a nice surprise. Produce area was clean and I didn't have a problem navigating the aisles for what I wanted.

I found a wide variety of fresh produce, including unique Asian vegetables and fruits. The quality of the produce and other products was excellent. Everything looked fresh and well-maintained. You can see employees prepping and bagging/wrapping fresh produce. The meat and seafood counters were well-stocked. There was also a traditional chinese BBQ counter with things like Char Siu and crispy roasted pork which was a great and welcomed suprise to me. The aisles were filled with a good range of spices, sauces, noodles, and other pantry staples from different asian cultures that I stocked up on. You can tell the store was a little older and gives your traditional Asian supermarket vibes so if that holds you back, I would say give them a chance anyway as it is clean, well-organized, and reminds me of my childhood stores. I found the prices to be very competitive.

Like any full-service market, they also have a fish department, along with fresh-cut and prepackaged vegetables, and a selection of meats. As with any grocery store, I strongly recommend checking expiration dates before purchasing. In their fish department, be sure to examine the clarity of the fish's eyes to ensure freshness. The overhead sprinklers in the produce section can sometimes oversaturate the vegetables, so it is worth inspecting those carefully as well. The employees are not particularly chatty, but if you need assistance navigating the store, they are helpful and will point you in the right direction. The aisles are generally well organized and well stocked during the weekdays. On weekends, however, the store is more crowded, and there have been times when specific items I was looking for were either limited or unavailable. The ambiance is okay, and the parking is easy, as it is in a strip mall, and there are plenty of parking spaces. There is a small eating area available if you would like to eat a prepared entree after purchasing it. A sign indicates they are happy to heat your said entree if needed, but I didn't see anyone available to assist. Given the number of excellent eateries surrounding the supermarket, we chose not to purchase and heat any entrees there. This grocery store is conveniently located for those who prefer not to travel all the way to Edison's Asian markets, particularly HMart. It's worth noting that prices here tend to be a dollar or two higher than at HMart. However, when you factor in savings on gas and travel time, it can often be more practical to shop locally.
