Slow service, and they give your food away to whoever asks despite ordering them for yourself. I do not recommend them at all!

Best pizza in Mississippi by far!…read more Their food truck was amazing but now they have a full service restaurant and bar and the food is even more amazing! Award winning pizza dough.... high quality ingredients, and the portion size of the toppings are perfect. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich which was beyond good. They use their pizza crust for the bread, baked and folder over almost calzone style. The quality of the shaved sliced prime rib is excellent, the meat was incredibly moist, tender, and the sautéed onions and green peppers complemented by their beer cheese made this culinary surprise a solid 10 out of 10. Great portion, priced just right, arrived to the table piping how..... seriously, order this sandwich!!!! Great small-town atmosphere, and the service is exceptional. We were greeted with a warm welcome, a smile, and that friendliness was also extended by our server who gave excellent service, checked back a few times, refilled drinks, and kept us informed about how long our order would take to arrive at our table. The place is worth the drive from Laurel.... Five stars for sure.... go for the pizza, but also try other items off their surprisingly great menu. They also have nice pasta dishes, several salad choices, and an excellent appetizer menu as well. We had their home made pretzel bites with beer cheese, a 10 out of 10... a must! Lastly, their build your own salad is genius. $11.00 is the price... you pick the type of greens and up to six toppings of an extensive list of choices... great value given the size of he salad and the amount of toppings.....

On a quick trip to Laurel, we started out with visits to the Napier Trio of Scotsman, the…read moreMercantile, and the Scent Library, and were ready for some sustenance before tackling the Rusty Chandelier and the rest of the Laurel shopping scene and made our first visit to Mimmo's, and after a delicious lunch, we know it won't be our last. Our little group tried three different entrées and everybody loved what they got. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks, everything was on point and our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Plus the fresh baked bread was a plus.

We ate at Mimmo's two nights in a row while visiting family. The first evening was good -- we had…read morethe lasagna and pizza, and both were enjoyable enough that we decided to return the next night. Unfortunately, the second visit was a very different experience. I ordered the chicken piccata, and it was extremely disappointing. The sauce wasn't bright or balanced as you'd expect from a piccata. Instead, it tasted heavy and starchy, almost like thickened chicken broth, with none of the lemony depth or richness the dish should have. It was not enjoyable. It was also my birthday, which made the experience more frustrating. I let our waitress know that the dish wasn't good, but nothing was done to address it. There was no effort to adjust, replace, or even meaningfully respond, which felt dismissive. Additionally, the night before we had been told that gnocchi could be prepared for us the following evening. When we returned, that was no longer the case, and again there didn't seem to be much acknowledgment of the change. The inconsistency between the two nights was surprising. The restaurant is clearly capable of decent food, but the lack of follow-through and service recovery made the second visit disappointing.

I am pretty sure someone's Nonna is definitely in the kitchen at Trattoria Pizzeria. The food is…read moreamazing prepared, the service makes you feel like family, and the place is so clean, that you can her own mother rushing you to clean the house before company gets there. I ordered the baked spaghetti, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The kind of dish that makes you pause halfway through the first bite and think, "Yep...this was the perfect choice." It tasted completely house-made, rich, comforting, and clearly prepared with the kind of love that usually comes from a kitchen where someone is yelling in Italian. The sauce, the pasta, the baked goodness on top--everything just worked. The wine list was also a pleasant surprise: great selection and very affordable. Nothing makes pasta happier than a good glass of wine that doesn't make your wallet cry. For dessert I went with the limoncello cake. While it wasn't house-made, it was still delicious--light, citrusy, and the perfect way to finish off a very satisfying meal. Here's the real kicker: the entire meal with wine was about $40 with my drink. In a world where mediocre pasta can somehow cost the same as a cell phone bill, this place delivers incredible value. It's not only the best quality Italian food I've found around here, it's easily one of the best meals I've had for the price. Bottom line: great food, great wine, and a price that doesn't require selling family heirlooms. I'll definitely be back.

I'm leaving this review for awareness…read more Some months ago my mother had an exchange with one of the bartenders (Matt) here that ended with him named calling her a "bitch." Later we were told by an employee that after reviewing footage it "looked like she was being aggressive." As a black woman, hearing that kind of language used to describe my mother raised concerns for me. It's what made me stop by to see the owner. When I tried to discuss it with the owner Ashley, her response to me saying "as a black woman..." was to tell me "don't pull the race card." An employee named Jessica jumped in and said the owner couldn't be prejudiced because she's engaged to a black man (who I found out later is Jessica's son), which to me sounded like "I can't be racist, I have black friends!" completely missing the point. What bothered me most was how unprofessional the entire interaction became. I came in hoping to have a private conversation with the owner, but two employees (Jessica and brother who also works there) began inserting themselves into the discussion. At one point the owner Ashley even put her finger in my face and said "I'm not talking to you right now" while explaining things to my boyfriend instead. THE OWNER. When I asked how the bartender (Matt) calling a customer a "bitch" was handled, I was told it was dealt with "internally," but they refused to explain what that meant. The owner also claimed they have a "zero tolerance policy" for employees and customers cursing at each other, yet the bartender still works there. A write-up and a "don't do it again" isn't zero tolerance. At one point Jessica started to call the police on me during the conversation. For what?? The food might be fine, but professionalism and accountability matter. If the owner of a business handles concerns this way and refuses transparency about employee conduct, that says a lot about the culture of the place. Do with that information what you will before spending your money here. Ashley you suck. Jessica you suck. Edit: Ashley (the owner) has now responded to this review. She is upset that I had a bad experience with her. I initially went up there to see why she felt the need to tell her employee that a black women looked aggressive on camera. That's dangerous and she wouldn't understand because she is not black. I asked to speak with her privately and that didn't happen, she could've took me in her office, like a professional business owner should have done. It escalated because she had 2 employees getting involved when the conversation should have just been between me and her. The situation was not handled "months ago" because my mother never recieved an apology and Matt still works there so her "zero tolerance policy" doesn't exist. She keeps saying "months ago" because she wants us to let it go but I won't. Her response under my review literally means nothing because nothing about how her and her employees handled it was professional. Nor was it to deescalate. If anything, they made the situation worse. In her response below it seems like she's now trying to put on face and now act professional because she's been called out. So, I still believe you shouldn't give Ashley or her business your money because she is unprofessional and lacks accountability.
