Count me as a nay vote on that--they should have seperate entries being seperate boxes. This is for the German Village box on the 600 block of City Park Avenue just steps behind the Book Loft. The design is not as creative as others in town-- just the standard boring pine looking wood with black hinges and top. The top does kind of look like flint which matches the roofs of the historical homes of the neighborhood. Too bad they couldn't make it brick or cobblestone to really anchor it in with its surroundings. That said, it is made perfectly with a craftsman's touch and carpenter's accuracy. It goes well standing in the front garden patch of black mulch and hedges there. Books-- well it's not the canon, DWM, or underground cult classics--heavy lit is not found here. Think the random hodgepodge of reject books found in yard sales, library liquidations, and speed tables outside Half Price Book taped with a sloppy hand-markered sign flopping in the breeze. You look through it in 20-seconds and you think nope! At least that was my expectation. But surprise there was a couple decent books for you to borrow. A couple Mary Higgens dime novels, Last Days of Summer, a Vietnam vet memoir called The Things They Carried ( good book), and Farewell to Dorothy Parker. Decent. I also saw something called The Good German fitting for the neighborhood, and Found Object that someone must of found and put in there. Best selection I've seen in a LFL yet. It is not only near the Storybook Trail, but by the playground. This Little Free Library looks to be well built. It has the Ohio Parks logo on it. A great addition to the park. Unfortunately, the library was completely void of books. Not a single one. We had a children's book in the car that my children agreed to put in it. Hopefully the next child was excited to find it. The two women working there when my family and I visited the last time were funny and intelligent. We enjoyed talking with them and hearing about the history of the library. The building itself is one of the original buildings in Milford, and I enjoyed venturing on to Water Street, aptly named, since it's right next to the Little Miami River in Old Milford. You won't be disappointed if you stop by here- especially if you are a mystery writer! TIPS- The staff was quick to point out to me that even though the overdue fines are 10 cents per day, it's only 30 cents per week since they are only open three days! Oh yeah- they are only open three days a week, so check the hours before making a special trip!

It has a selection of mystery novels much larger than most libraries - separated by genres. Worth a visit if you're a mystery or history fan. This particular library is brought to the community by a Girl Scouts Troop. The library is located in Oakbrook Park. This makes it easy for neighborhood children to have access when playing at the park. On my most recent visit, roughly 2/3 of the books were for kids/teens. Most of my other visits have had religious texts and romance novels. If you plan on visiting, bring a book or too to help keep the library stocked. Don't have a book to donate? That's okay. People from The Little Free Library want you to read. Even if you don't have a book to swap, it is more than okay to take one... or even two.
