I could not of asked for a better dress experience as a bride. I know lots of reviews mention alterations but I also just noticed they completely redid the dept and have been super communicative with my dress timelines and alterations! 10/10 give them a shot!!

What should have been one of the happiest moments of her life turned into complete humiliation and heartbreak when she was suddenly told she was not allowed to purchase the dress after all. She ran out of the store in tears, utterly embarrassed in front of everyone. This kind of bait-and-switch behavior is not only cruel it violates basic principles of decency and and several Michigan consumer protection laws. The staff did absolutely nothing to help or console her afterward. No one followed up, no one apologized, and no one made any effort to make it right. Instead, they left a sweet, innocent young girl crying and traumatized. As a military Veteran and community leader I urge all families to not shop here, and to take your business elsewhere. This company ignored my asks, disregarded my child and spit on military families everywhere. Boycott all Bridal by Viper locations.

She seemed like she had years of experience because every dress she pulled for me to try on was absolutely stunning and fit my vibe. She didn't make me feel rushed, she was funny, kind and made my experience so memorable. The bridal shop had an array of options and I didn't feel overwhelmed at all! The Phoenix upstairs was great too:) I did say yes to the dress! Thanks so much Olivia!

I would not recommend Becker's to anyone looking for a wedding dress. They had the worst customer…read moreservice I have ever experienced. From the moment I mentioned that I had liked a dress at another store, the consultant made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She became flustered when I didn't like certain dresses she pulled, and at one point even said, "There are 3,000 dresses here and you are not leaving without a dress." And "If you liked the other dress so much, why would you come here?" I tried to explain that I simply wanted to explore different styles before making a decision, but she pointed at me and aggressively told me I was wrong. She said I did know what I liked and that if that was truly my dress then I wouldnt have left. I felt like i was being scolded and judged. She then attempted to find an identical dress to the one I'd seen elsewhere just so I would buy it from their store. At that point, both myself and my entire party felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even feel safe voicing opinions. We ended the appointment early, and instead of thanking us, she grabbed the dresses and walked away, leaving us to do what felt like a "walk of shame" out of the building. I ended up returning to Fantastics Finds to buy my wedding dress. They clearly have some sort of sales quota they have to meet and do not care about the brides experience and finding a dress they truly love. Side note, the consultant also did not ask me my budget and was pulling dresses way above my budget that i had submitted online. Wedding dress shopping should be an exciting and supportive experience. Instead, this was condescending, rude, and unnecessarily stressful. I was truly appalled by the experience I will definitely never recommend Becker's to any future bride.

I cannot recommend The Dress Shop enough! After visiting several bridal stores and either not…read morefinding the right dress or not having the best experience, I decided to stop into The Dress Shop as my last store--just to see what they had. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcome and taken care of. Although I'm sure all of their stylists are wonderful, I was incredibly lucky to work with Isabel, and I truly cannot give her enough praise. She was absolutely incredible. Isabel was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the gowns--fabric, designers, styles, silhouettes, details--you name it. She answered every question we had and made me feel reassured and completely comfortable, more than any other shop I visited (and I visited a good few!). One thing I loved was how personal the experience felt. During my first consultation, Isabel asked about my (then) fiancé, how we met, and details about our wedding day. It truly felt like they cared about me and wanted to get to know my story. I honestly felt like I became friends with them! There was never an ounce of pressure. In fact, it was the opposite--they respected when I needed time to think and never made me feel rushed or questioned my decisions. It was such a refreshing, positive experience. This shop--and especially Isabel--is genuinely at the very top of my list of wedding vendors. I've been excited to write this review since the day I bought my dress! Even after my dress purchase, I visited a few more times to look for a veil, jewelry, and accessories, and every single person I interacted with (front desk, phone calls, stylists) was so kind, encouraging, and helpful. I found my dream dress, veil, and bracelet here, and the entire experience was something I'll cherish forever. If you're unsure where to go--especially if you've tried multiple stores like I did--please visit The Dress Shop. You will not regret it.

This was the 4th bridal store I visited, the other three being regular bridal shops (one in Howell, one in WB, and David's Bridal in Novi). I knew going in that all proceeds are donated to cancer charities, which is great; I didn't know that all the employees are volunteers, too. Our assistant was Lisa and she was great. In my two-hour appointment I probably tried on 5-7 dresses. Some weren't as "fancy" as I wanted (mostly the Torrid ones, but the prices were excellent; $50+) but I found two I really liked, and ended up buying one! For $450, which is about 1/4 the price of another dress I saw at one of the other shops and really liked. They do alterations there too - the shop itself allows credit cards but the seamstresses, who are also volunteers, just take cash or check. The shop advised me to come back about 3 months before my wedding to start the alterations process, so that would be June of next year. They told me they do cost-effective alterations, too, so this is where I'll be taking my dress. Overall super pleased with this store, and glad that their mission is so charitable, too.
