Bar snacks available and food served during the day. Car park behind bar for about 20 cars. Good atmosphere in this pub.

We both ordered the halloumi battered with chips and a bottle of bubbly to share. The halloumi was delicious and cooked in a way that it just melted in your mouth. Being already rich there was no sauce to accompany it but the table tomato sauce was adequate and the salad dressing was moorish. Great food and atmosphere Perfect for the Sunday catch up with Bestie.

A couple of years ago we had a great roast at the Lock Tavern nearby but when we went there, they said they stopped serving it. Not sure why. A staff member there recommended The Hawley Arms as a substitute. There is a new Amy Winehouse mural outside on the South side of the building so we took a photo there before going inside. As most places in Camden, this was busy inside. We were directed upstairs where there was a large seating area and a bar. What more do you need? This was my second Sunday Roast this time in London so I decided to try the chicken roast while my wife had the traditional beef roast My daughter had the veg roast. We also had a couple of Mochas and a Guinness. The food is delivered via an old school dumbwaiter from the kitchen. Overall, everything was great and super tasty with nice service. The Yorkshire pudding was a bit dry and not as good as others I've had but all else was great. I recommend The Hawley Arms for the historic nature of this place and some good pub grub and drinks.

Yup...definitely worth returning to!…read more I came here last night as I was "home alone", yet I somehow wanted to be among other people. So I hopped on the #210, which departs right in front of my house and drops me off right in front of this lovely local pub! And when I walked in, I immediately felt completely at ease and welcome. The very generous space offers a variety of seating opportunities: sofas for a group of up to 8 people; seats in the bay-window that allow you to watch the people passing by; the bar, which in fact is huge, or the slightly more formal dining area, which appealed to me very much and which is also one of the reasons that I want to return here... What I like most about the Old Dairy is that this is a truly local pub (who else would come to this remote area), where people like you and I would get together for a pint in the evening, or two...or three?

We were immediately sold. We lucked out on a table during a hopping Sunday and were able to snag the last couple plates of their Sunday Roast. The roast was fantastic! Make a reservation to not miss it. The bar offered a large lineup of beers, ales, wines, and cocktails. The bartenders were very personable and friendly even during a rush. They immediately noticed our American accents and chatted us up on where we were from, how we were liking London, etc. They were just overall very friendly and welcoming. It really made a difference on our day. I hopped around a number of pubs during our visit, but this one really stood out to us as a favorite. Swing by for a pint!

The food isn't bad either with a great prix fix menu (2 courses for £10, a deal!) That said, it's SLOW. The ongoing joke is that it will take an hour between ordering your food and getting it. A slight exaggeration but not by much!! Food is good but can be hit or miss. We ordered some chips but sent them back because they looked like the leftovers from the bottom of the fry vat. That said, those that were cooked right were perfect: steaming hot, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The whitebait went down a treat. The gammon was meaty and flavourful but the eggs were overcooked (wherefore art thou, runny yolk??) The desserts came about 45 minutes after they cleared our plates away because they had forgotten about it (luckily, we were pretty well steamed at this point and had forgotten we had even ordered dessert!) Is it perfect? No. But it ticks enough of the right buttons that the inconsistencies are forgiven.

This is on the corner of Billionair's Avenue, where dictators do their real estate money laundering.
