I have been going to this laundromat for most of the summer and have been very impressed with the cleanliness of the place, so much so that I've recommended it to other vacationers at the campground we are staying in.
That pretty much changed this morning when I got a voice mail from Vince (Not sure if he is an owner or manager) but anyway I lost $2.00 in a machine yesterday and promptly filled out the little yellow form with my contact info, etc.
It does say that a refund will be issued immediately. I really wish there was some way to post the voice mail that Vince left me, but I'll have to recap it. He started out by saying that he checked out the machine and that there are people out there that do not know how to work coin operated machines and when you don't here the coins drop that means there is something wrong and you should not continue to put money in. He ended it by saying that I could stop in anytime and he would give me a lesson on how to operate the machine. No apology, no mention of my refund, nothing!
First of all the machine took $2 worth of quarters and the coins and didn't stop working until it came to the last 2 quarters. So how was I supposed to know IN ADVANCE that the machine was not working. Secondly it's a flipping laundromat with lots of washers and dryers making lots of noise. I had started machines in either side of the broken one and would not have been able to hear that there was an issue with the coin box.
I only filled out the refund form since I thought I would be going back there.
Not anymore, I am absolutely floored at the response from Vince. On average I spend about $20 each visit and it amazes me that someone would leave such a rude and condescending response over $2. Apparently Vince does not realize that he is losing way more by my no longer patronizing the business as well as my bad review on social media and by word of mouth. What an idiot! read more
