After Dr. Salam-Khan left the country, I was medically bereft (that's a diagnosis I made up), and…read morewent to a couple physicians before settling on Dr. Foster. I'm crazy about her (not medically speaking). To date, she's been my primary physician for a little over two years. I love that she spends plenty of time. I don't so much like that I usually have to wait longer than my appointment time, but I factor that in when I have an appointment that's later in the day. If my appointment is first thing in the morning, there's no issue. For urgent appointments, I've sometimes gotten in with her, other times I've been given a visit with another physician from the same office, or Linda, her nurse practitioner (all are terrific). I love how she listens. She's excellent at giving advice, including on mental health issues. She doesn't try to be a therapist, but she's good about making sure my panic condition is under control, even when I'm there for regular old physical wear and tear issues. She calls me if I've seen one of her associates and there's some question about my health to be clarified, and she's great about getting test results either mailed or communicated to me via phone. I really love that she's a one-stop shop. She did a nice, thorough history/physical the first time I came in, and she does the annual well-woman exams. In summary, great care of my body and brain, and a downright sweetheart. Her staff members are also quite nice. Her practice partners are excellent.

1 Star is too High!…read more My regular physician wasn't available in this practice so I was offered to see Dr. Wendy Foster which I accepted. I can honestly say I have NEVER in all my years been treated that way in my entire life. She was down right confrontational and rude. If I hadn't had such positive experiences with the other physicians in her practice I'd find a new doctor ASAP. Yes, I will let my primary physician know next time I see her. Dr. Foster is definitely not helping their practice.

No matter the time or situation, whenever I called, Kira was there prompt, attentive, and fully committed to helping me. Her reliability and dedication gave me a sense of comfort and security during a very difficult time in my life. What sets Kira apart is not only her professionalism, but her genuine compassion. She didn't just do her job she cared. She made sure I was comfortable, supported, and never alone in moments when I needed reassurance the most. Kira represents the very best of what healthcare should be. Her kindness, responsiveness, and unwavering support deserve recognition and deep appreciation. I am truly thankful for everything she has done for me. Thank you, Kira, for your outstanding service and for the heart you bring to your work. You made a difference I will never forget. Samuel Adam

They could have told us that on the phone and saved us a 6 mile trip but it's loyola and they don't do anything to make your visit pleasant. They would not even let her sit in the lobby. We had to turn around and leave. I don't know why this hospital is so terrible, not family friendly, it's a shame. Terrible hospital. I need my ppo insurance again so I can attend Northwestern where they treat you like a valuable human.

I was referred to Loyola University Head and Neck Dr Borrowdale and he saved my life. He did the full tumor removal within two weeks of my first visit. Nine hour surgery to take out the tumor and do a face and neck flap to remove it and cancerous lymph nodes! 2 years later I am Cancer free but do have Lyohodema due to the lymph glands having to be removed! Loyola has the best Head and Neck Team. I had Radiation and chemo to kill any remaining cancer cells but today I am alive and can swallow, chew and eat! I had a feeding tube during my treatment but never used it. Don't wait for weeks to get treatment, Loyola takes care of cancer treatment quick and gives you the full team approach with everyone working together to help you. Great nursing staff and very responsive PAs that follow up with my doctors on any request I have had over two years!

They helped me squeeze the three appts into the week before I started teaching. So grateful for that. The blood center nurses were all great! Great bedside manner, kind, warm.
