This is a long review that I hope you will read to completion, but in case you do not, in a nutshell, Dr. Bradley and her staff are the most QUALIFIED, most EFFICIENT, and most CARING dental practice I have ever dealt with, and I have dealt with quite a few in my lifetime.
I almost never write reviews for anyone or anything, but I feel compelled to defend Dr. Bradley for the one-star review on this site. While I can certainly empathise with the woman who complained about the appearance of a front tooth temporary, she obviously knows very little about the technical or medical aspects of dentistry and how getting that cosmetically perfect smile is most times a multi-layered procedure that takes several visits to the doctor because of waiting on lab work, preserving as much natural tooth as possible, etc.
Dr. Bradley did TEN veneers for me across all of my front upper teeth. I had very discolored and spotty teeth due my mother having a vitamin defenciency while I was in the womb. I am a cheerful person with a very wide smile that comes easily, but I have spent most of my 43 years lifting my hand to cover my mouth while laughing or smiling because I felt so embarrassed by my perfectly straight but horribly multi-shaded teeth. Not only were they unsightly, they were painful. I had extreme sensitivity to hot & cold, it was painful to brush & floss, and they chipped or broke easily. I had been having to have small fixes with composite material for years.
In regards to the story of the woman who gave Dr. B a bad review, you cannot expect the temporaries that are necessary while waiting for your permanent porceline to come back from the lab to be perfect. The material used is not meant to be permanent or perfect. The doctor cannot be expected to spend her time or talents working to perfect a product that she will be removing in a few weeks time in order to apply the final product. A temporary is meant to be just that: TEMPORARY. It is made from less expensive material and applied with glue that removes easily from the real tooth so that when your "real" veneers or crowns come back from the lab, the doctor can apply the final product in as little time as possible (for both her and the patient) and without having to further prep (damage) your natural teeth during the application of the veneers or crown. Did my temporaries drive me a little nutty while waiting for my permanent veneeers to come back from the lab? Sure they did. They did not look very natural (too white), felt "thick" in my mouth, etc. But I knew they were TEMPORARY.
When I went back three weeks later and Dr. Bradley applied my veneers, it was like getting a second birthday. She and her staff were excited for me the minute I walked in the office for my appointment. It was the BIG DAY! Dr. Bradley made sure her entire morning schedule was clear JUST for MY appointment! She took all the time necessary to make sure that each and every one of those ten veneers was PERFECT, and not just cosmetically, but also for the maintaining of my good oral health. I felt like a royal or the president or someone of VERY high importance. The entire staff gave me the celebrity treatment!
Furthermore, and most importantly, I could not have imagined a better outcome at the finish of my procedure. I literally cried tears of gratitude and joy in the dental chair when they handed me a mirror, and I saw my new smile for the first time. I still smile at myself in the mirror daily, laughing that there is some irony in the fact that my veneers look more like natural teeth than my actual natural teeth did. They are also stronger, easier to floss, and feel completely comfortable in my mouth. And best of all, I no longer have ANY pain in the daily ritual of taking care of my dental health.
I have since that time received COUNTLESS compliments on my smile, been told by many people how young I look, and have even been asked if I have lost weight or had a FACE LIFT. The icing on the cake was when, a few months after Dr. Bradley gave me my new smile, I was on vacation with my family and sitting by the pool at the resort where we were staying, and I was approached by a magazine photographer who asked if he could photograph me for a story featuring the resort in his travel magazine! (The photo and a link to the magazine can be seen on Dr. Bradley's website, by the way!) My veneers look so natural that no one can quite put their finger on exactly what is different about me, they just know I look GREAT! I cannot even begin to describe the difference in my life, attitude and general well being since Dr. Bradley and her staff took my case. They cared about me, a nobody housewife from nowhere Tennessee, as if I were the most important person in the world to them. I have of course recommended Dr. B to everyone I know, and can testify that she and her staff treat ALL their patients with the same loving care. I am and will forever be grateful for how Dr. Bradley changed & improved my life! read more
