These folks really saved the day for me. I had to clear out my mother's considerable condominium after she relocated to a retirement home. Lisa and Mike promptly showed up and coordinated the clearing-out. Since I live out of the country, I relied on them to handle the entire business unsupervised. On the appointed day, they took care of everything; what's more, they scrupulously identified not only the antiques my mother was concerned about, but also a couple of other items that were potentially of value, and took all these items for sale on consignment as promised. Friendly, pleasant to deal with, and honest from start to finish. The amount of money they charge is altogether reasonable given the tremendous amount of work involved. Postscript: After completing the work, they sent me over thirty clear, excellent photos of the clean house. This additional, thoughtful service provided me tremendously needed closure and peace of mind. What's more, they discovered two CHECKBOOKS that I had completely missed. They immediately contacted me for instructions and agreed to mail them to me. HONEST PEOPLE! Thank you! read more

She was incredibly friendly and professional. I received a written quote from her the same day. I was impressed. On the day of the removal her team was friendly, detail-oriented, and they truly went the extra mile. Every room sparkled. It was a huge weight off my shoulders. They were perfect, kind, reasonable and good to their word. Lovely people and fantastic business!

My 95-year old Aunt passed away last month and I was left with a house full of wonderful memories and lots of STUFF from the past 65+ years. After a first pass (over several weekends) going through everything myself and assessing what I wanted to keep, I was then left with the herculean task of clearing out the rest to prepare the home for sale. That's where Lisa's Silver Lining came in. An initial call to Lisa on a Saturday, a visit by her next-day to assess things, a fair and reasonable price quote the following day, and we were on our way! In less than a week total (including a day and a half of actual clear-out), a giant load was not only lifted from MY shoulders, but countless other loads were removed from the house; some were donated, some taken to the dump, and a big majority of the contents taken to consignment. Lisa answered all my questions, had some great ideas, and prepared me for what to expect. Her crew (including her husband, Mike) was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant, all of which helped me make the best of a tough and emotional situation. The death of a family member can take a lot out of a person but knowing there is an impartial party to help the process along is a huge relief. THANK YOU, Lisa! read more

So pleased with the work by Lisa and her team. She took a process that was really emotionally and physically draining for my family to do, and she completed it with amazing work ethic, compassion, great communication, and care. The decision to hire her is the best decision I've made since my parents passed away. I am just so grateful for them and I cannot recommend them strongly enough. read more

Lisa is one of the most authentic people I have ever met. Such an amazing business. Highly dependable and trustworthy!!!

Lisa, Mike and crew cleared my parents home in 2 days, as promised. They were professional, respectful of property and all seemed aware that this might be a difficult time for a family. We were very pleased with the service they provided and happy we chose them! read more

Lisa took time to explain each process of handling my Uncle Mike's and my grandmother's estates (long history of hoarding and hidden treasures). I was so overwhelmed. Other companies I'd called said, "send us some pictures and we'll see" but, thankfully, Lisa talked to me. She came over to the house and went through every room, including the garage. I felt very well supported and confident with Lisa. She even called me after the house was cleared out, just to ask about how I was feeling. Fantastic job, well organized and efficient. read more

Thank you to Lisa, her husband and crew for helping me deal with my Mom's overstocked trailer! I was overwhelmed! I decided to go with a Buy-out/Clean-out(they purchased some items and we paid for a clean-out, with some $ going in our favor!), instead of trying to do an Estate sale. Her calm demeanor, honesty and lighting speed Clean-out process helped me greatly in going forward to do what needed to be done with the sale of the trailer. I believe that we met on Weds. night and the process was done early Friday morning. Let me say that I was impressed with how quickly it was done. Thank you for making a stressful time easier to deal with! read more

See all

We were so fortunate to find Lisa's Silver Lining. My mother passed away and she had a house full of a lifetime of treasures. It was overwhelming for both my brother and I. Everything had memories attached it and we were stalled out on what to do. Lisa and Mike were so kind and compassionate and they sorted through everything and consigned or donated what they could and hauled away the rest. They did it all in two days, really unbelievable - I would have never thought it possible. They are the nicest people and did what they said they would do. I can not recommend them enough and would use them again at anytime with pleasure. They were the most positive and generous thing to happen to us since our mother's passing. True angels for those of us in need. read more

I can't even tell you how wonderful Lisa and her crew have been. She gave me good advice through the job of clearing my dad's entire home, and assured me along the way that things in working order were going to be donated and gave me fair prices for his nice pieces of furniture and has been super easy to communicate with and empathetic. The completed job was more thorough than I could have hoped for. I simply did not have the emotional energy for this task and Lisa took a huge burden from me for a more than fair price. Could not recommend any more strongly. read more

I needed to have a storage unit cleared. Even though it was a small job, Lisa's Silver Lining responded quickly to my call, came out to give me a quote and efficiently emptied and cleaned my storage unit. They even brought the last few items I was keeping down and loaded into my car. Unit was empty, clean and I received exit confirmation same day from the storage company. Would use again and would recommend. Wish I had called them sooner! read more

We do not hesitate recommending Lisa's Silver Lining for all estate liquidation needs. read more

A couple weeks ago we reached out to Mike Quincey at Lisa's Silver Linings to clear out our family house in preparation for renovation and sale. Mike came over on short notice and couldn't have been nicer and more precise his evaluation about the 60+ years (and more!) of articles and furniture and family history - he came with an acute knowledge of how we could best dispose of things (for lack of a better phrase), how we could maximize our efforts and not just indiscriminately trash everything. He was also very sensitive to the family's attachment to everything in the property and all that that means, which made all of us feel so much more secure about letting the house go. Because time limits were an issue, he advised us about the advantages and disadvantages of an estate/rummage sale, directed us to a really terrific consignment shop (Consignment Classics), and offered at an amazing price to clear out the house. When we told him how pressing our timetable was, Mike adjusted his schedule to accommodate our best target date. It was perfect. All of this was even more complicated by the fact that I had to be on the other coast and felt I had to manage the clean up via text, phone and zoom - but my concerns were unwarranted because Mike and Lisa were on site, managing it themselves, working speedily, carefully and effectively with their team to clear out the house, having to call us only once or twice with concerns about specific issues. They communicated with me at the top of the day and the end of the day, and sent photos to keep me apprised of their progress. And not only did they clear it out - they left it spotless and clean as a whistle. I'll be honest - there were a couple of hang-ups that caused some confusion but those were primarily because some of the instructions I'd left them were relatively vague - what's great is that Mike and Lisa immediately corrected these issues without hestitation and without calling me out for not being more clear, and all with a cheerful, accommodating spirit - they just wanted to make sure they were getting it right according to the customer's wishes! But my advice here is to anticipate and be very clear about specific instruction that are important to you so that Mike and Lisa can make it happen. And of course the "cream" atop all of this is that in addition to being consummately professional, Mike and Lisa are just about the nicest people you could ask for. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with them and - if I had any number of houses in the San Diego area that I needed to deal with in this way - I know that Lisa's Silver Lining would be at the top of my contact list, again and again. I couldn't recommend them more. Thanks Lisa, Thanks Mike! read more

Old story: My parents passed and left a home oacked with all they collected over some 30 odd years. After months of little progress dealing with this, Lisa and Mike arrived and cleared the house in 2 days. What a relief! My family recently had to empty my father's house because escrowwas closing. We called Lisa's and Mike came right out to quote the job. They did a fabulous job of packing up what was left and sorting it into destinations. They bought some of it, dropped quite a bit at Consignment Classics, donated some, and the rest went to the dump. We're very pleased at how smoothly this process went, and highly recommend Lisa's to anyone looking to empty a house. read more

Recently we had to clear out an elderly family member's home in preparation for sale. I called several estate agents. Lisa of Lisa's Silver Lining immediately returned my call, clearly walked me through what services she might be able to provide and how she might be able to help. She and husband Mike did a careful review of everything in the house. Because of the age and value of furnishings it did not look promising, but Lisa was determined and quickly engaged her extended network of consignment sellers, movers, pricers, and marketing sources to come up with a plan to maximize our potential return and we ultimately decided it was worth holding an estate sale. Within a couple days they had efficiently and respectfully separated sellable items from non, priced and organized everything for display, scheduled a weekend sale and initiated a marketing program. Lisa has experience and an eye for what will realistically sell, for what price and how. She has an incredible work ethic and engaged a team with the same. That along with her cheery personality and attention to detail combined with Mike's careful accounting provided us so much assurance. The sale was a success - they even sold a classic Jaguar. We could not be more pleased. After the sale they handled disposal of any remaining items leaving the house empty and ready for sale. Lisa was always very clear on what she could do and couldn't do, constantly communicated with us to let us know what was happening and made sure the plan progressed on schedule. I had heard horror stories about dealing with Estate Agents. This was a very happy even pleasurable experience and I definitely recommend Lisa's Silver Lining. Thank you Lisa and Mike. read more

We contacted Lisa to help us clean out my mother-in-law's home. My MIL has lived in this home for over 20 years (and I don't think threw anything away). Lisa met with me, and we discussed what I wanted, and she provided me with a fair price and explained what she would do. Let me say, Lisa, not only cleared out the house, but she also cleaned it, making it real estate ready! She and her staff were very professional and understood our needs and made sure that our expectations were exceeded. If I ever need her services again, I would definitely call her. read more
