On the appointed day, they took care of everything; what's more, they scrupulously identified not only the antiques my mother was concerned about, but also a couple of other items that were potentially of value, and took all these items for sale on consignment as promised. My 95-year old Aunt passed away last month and I was left with a house full of wonderful memories and lots of STUFF from the past 65+ years. A couple weeks ago we reached out to Mike Quincey at Lisa's Silver Linings to clear out our family house in preparation for renovation and sale. Mike came over on short notice and couldn't have been nicer and more precise his evaluation about the 60+ years (and more!) of articles and furniture and family history - he came with an acute knowledge of how we could best dispose of things (for lack of a better phrase), how we could maximize our efforts and not just indiscriminately trash everything. He was also very sensitive to the family's attachment to everything in the property and all that that means, which made all of us feel so much more secure about letting the house go. Because time limits were an issue, he advised us about the advantages and disadvantages of an estate/rummage sale, directed us to a really terrific consignment shop (Consignment Classics), and offered at an amazing price to clear out the house. When we told him how pressing our timetable was, Mike adjusted his schedule to accommodate our best target date. It was perfect. All of this was even more complicated by the fact that I had to be on the other coast and felt I had to manage the clean up via text, phone and zoom - but my concerns were unwarranted because Mike and Lisa were on site, managing it themselves, working speedily, carefully and effectively with their team to clear out the house, having to call us only once or twice with concerns about specific issues. They communicated with me at the top of the day and the end of the day, and sent photos to keep me apprised of their progress. And not only did they clear it out - they left it spotless and clean as a whistle. I'll be honest - there were a couple of hang-ups that caused some confusion but those were primarily because some of the instructions I'd left them were relatively vague - what's great is that Mike and Lisa immediately corrected these issues without hestitation and without calling me out for not being more clear, and all with a cheerful, accommodating spirit - they just wanted to make sure they were getting it right according to the customer's wishes! But my advice here is to anticipate and be very clear about specific instruction that are important to you so that Mike and Lisa can make it happen. And of course the "cream" atop all of this is that in addition to being consummately professional, Mike and Lisa are just about the nicest people you could ask for. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with them and - if I had any number of houses in the San Diego area that I needed to deal with in this way - I know that Lisa's Silver Lining would be at the top of my contact list, again and again. Lisa of Lisa's Silver Lining immediately returned my call, clearly walked me through what services she might be able to provide and how she might be able to help.
