We were immediately informed she wouldn't be making anyone any burgers, already off to a great start! Lmao. I ordered a screwdriver and instead of making it she got on multiple different phone calls (one was for the restaurant, in her defense) but then went around asking EVERYONE else if they were good or had their drinks. How hard is it to throw some orange juice and vodka together? For the girl with the brown hair w blonde streaks and the piercing by her eye, it was IMPOSSIBLE. I get a bad day but service so bad that I have to leave to buy a drink is ridiculous. I'll just spend my money elsewhere.

I was buying some stuff at Harbor Freight (don't ask) and I decided to check out a place I could get an Ultra and relax. I asked the kid at the register and he said that they have the Cat&Mouse Club (he pointed to ) over there. I drove over and went it. It is a pretty cool place! It is kind of a mix of old school and modern dive. I sat in the 70's style chairs at the bar (so comfortable for a bigger frame I might add) and look up to see the smiling face of Bev, who took my order. She struck up a short conversation and i immediately felt like this was my neighborhood bar. The people next to me started in on the conversation and before you knew it, we were all laughing and talking about nothing. I stayed through two shifts and met Skeeterr (bartender) and a host of new people. Hey this bar has been here since 1969, so they know how to treat people. It is a vibe. I like the Electric Belle. My sorority sister and I came here on a Wednesday last month because her…read moredaughter was taking a dance class there. I think it was salsa dancing, but it may have been west coast swing at the EB. Her daughter had the time or day wrong and there was no class, but we all enjoyed a nice visit there. Because it was Wednesday, the bar at EB featured the "Drink Exchange at The Electric Belle, " which according to their website is, "the most ELECTRIFIED take on the bar menu yet, The Drink Exchange at The Electric Belle is your opportunity to influence the market with your tab, buy your favorite drinks low, and when the market crashes EVERYONE WINS! Wednesday nights inside The Electric Belle. OPEN 5PM-10PM - MARKET BELL RINGS AT 6PM!" Well, alrighty then, what this meant for me as I ordered a pinot grigio at the bar is, a TV to the far right of the bar displayed some stock market graphics affiliated with drinks maybe??? My SS found it interesting and was explaining it to me, anyway, I zoned out regarding the explanation because it was too cerebral for me at the moment. We missed the market bell ring because we got there around 7:30. Back to the Belle. It's a nice event space! Nice shiny concrete floors, I think it had a stage and a large projection screen was set up in a corner. There is outdoor seating which was nice on this lovely evening and the landscaping is nice, too. It's on the western most side of Stovehouse which I had never explored before, and I didn't see any nearby parking. The bartender was nice, the wine was good and at a good price point, and the space itself was fresh, clean, and modern. Outside the immediate area of EB is not well lighted, and for some reason, the restrooms in the area [not in EB proper - still in Stovehouse] were locked {??}, so there's that. I should have asked the bartender if they had restrooms inside EB. Do try EB, they have some interesting events on their calendar, west coast swing, disco night, zombie prom, and age 21 and over entertainment such as Dave Anderson and Ben Luthy, both of which are free shows which is super nice!

I'm going to venture to guess Diamond's has been in business for well over 40 years. Originally,…read moreDiamond's was across Meadowbrook Drive, where they were for decades. (I think that is called Huntington Plaza where Fire and Spice is currently located.) Within the last 15-ish years they moved to their current, and significantly larger location. I can't speak to the food, Miss Margaret, I think is her name, is behind all the Southern goodness served up. I think they have daily specials and offer wings, burgers, you know - bar food and oysters occasionally. Back when when my best friend's husband was into pool and played there every Friday, they had a complimentary buffet set up in the back. I'm sure I have eaten there since I have been to Diamond's ~ 2 dozen times, I just don't recall what I had. Best friend loves their burger and all the southern dishes. I do like their bar. It is horseshoe shaped with nice, comfy upholstered chairs. They offer pool, of course, trivia, TVs, pool leagues, and live music. I'm not sure if they charge a cover or not for the live music nights. They do allow smoking/vaping - so beware; however, due to the size of the place, it probably won't be a deal breaker for you if/when indoor activities resume. Huntsville really doesn't have that many pool places - I can only think of Diamond's and Bumpers (maybe End Zone??) They do not have a website, you'll have to track Diamond's socials (FB primarily) to see what Miss Margaret is cooking up and to learn about their COVID procedures.

I appreciate the flat fee, play what you want and however long you want very much. I wasn't a huge fan of how many games were not working/functioning. It wasn't a lot but when this is your bread and butter and what you're paying for, it's frustrating to see a number of games down as well as games to use that don't function 100%. My partner and I came in after work during the week and really enjoyed our time. Their bar/beer selection was impressive for what it was. They had a very well rounded selection, which is seemingly in short supply these days. The staff was friendly and helpful. In fact, we had purchased day passes and within 30-60 minutes, a birthday party came in and we were informed that the gaming area was about to be closed to the public. While this could've been very frustrating, they offered full refunds for the inconvenience. Excellent recovery by the team. We'll likely be back when time allows.
