But had I been able to obtain that information upfront as requested, I could have saved myself a good bit of time. They have a very nice presentation and if this is within your budget, I think you will like them. One way they cut down on your coat is that initial payment includes some post death legal support. I think I would rather pay on the back end because most of my cash is in IRA accounts. So just depends on what you can afford....For me this was WAY out of my of my budget, when other firm are quoting me 2-3k. This is a premium level law firm, with a family feel. I think they need to add some upfront information so that people who need to screen them out can do so. I think they need to work on developing a referral list. It was not just their time that was invested in my research.

He laid out the best course of my defense without charging a dime! This was in stark contrast to my experience with my first attorney. David was quickly able to get a read of my situation, and this spoke volumes to me. These attributes proved to be the most important attributes at our very first hearing only 2 days later. Misty was an excellent attorney throughout the entire case right from her first involvement. Nothing gets past her and she was able to quickly get a read of all parties in my case and was great at anticipating opposing counsel's every move throughout the entire case. She was very strategic all while being the most supportive attorney I could ever ask for, while navigating what's been the most difficult time in my life. Having worked with a prior firm where I was kept in the dark even when actively asking for details, Misty has been amazing at keeping me informed on the legal process, our filings, responses, the role of the Guardian Ad Litem as well as setting very realistic expectations throughout. One of her most amazing qualities was her ability to constantly recall details about my case that even I had forgotten, and these were memories of my life! Going through a highly contested divorce involving a minor child as a father, the journey initially felt like a lonesome one and very overwhelming. My separation and divorce began a year before COVID and like many others, was dragged out for a whole extra year past initial trial date. Though I discovered Tannen Law at a very unfortunate period in my life, I strongly feel I have been most fortunate to have them as the legal advocates for my son and I. Thank you David, Misty, Rhonda and Julia for everything! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for ALL your family law needs as they are exceptionally good at what they do, passionate and most importantly, all around good people. That last attribute, is really important for someone fighting for your family's fate. I sensed this at my first consultation and it has remained true almost 2 years later. THANK YOU TANNEN LAW!!!

1-Star Review I am…read moreextremely disappointed with my experience with Mr. J. Stephen Mixon and his law firm. Based on my personal experience, I believe Mr. Mixon was extremely dishonest and misleading in his communications with me. I feel that I was given information and assurances that did not match what ultimately happened, and I consider that deeply unprofessional. I retained this firm expecting honest communication, professional representation, and someone who would protect my legal interests and keep me informed about important deadlines. Instead, after investing significant time and trust in this firm, I received a letter terminating the representation effective immediately. Even more concerning, that same letter raised a potentially serious deadline issue involving one of my EEOC matters. I feel that my time was wasted, and I am extremely disappointed with how my matters were handled. When someone hires an attorney, they are placing an enormous amount of trust in that person. I trusted Mr. Mixon and his firm to handle my employment matters professionally and to protect my rights. In my personal opinion, Mr. Mixon's conduct and communication throughout my experience were among the most dishonest and unprofessional experiences I have encountered in dealing with the legal profession. I am an honest and trustworthy person, and I believe clients deserve honesty, transparency, respect, communication, and accountability from their attorneys. I would **never recommend Mr. Mixon or this law firm to anyone based on my experience.** I strongly encourage anyone considering this firm to do their own research and ask very detailed questions about communication, deadlines, representation, and what will happen if the attorney decides to withdraw. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions regarding the representation I received.
