Totally unimpressed with Lisa Hunt. So arrogant! She has her groupies of course - but I guess I don't see what would cause patients to like or trust her. To me she seemed like a charlatan - insisting on expensive mail-in lab tests, and also suggesting costly "magic" vitamin potions. She likes to hear herself talk but I don't think she realizes how dull she is. Long winded diatribes and adnaseum health lectures. This is why the first appointment is so painfully long. I sought her expertise in dealing with a number of issues (emergency surgical removal of ovaries, resulting menopause, weight gain, exhaustion, aging issues & frequent illnesses) that my trusted PCP & Ob-Gyn were unable to resolve. In addition, another trusted MD recommended and was being treated by her as well. I have consistently experienced only superb assessment, diagnosis and treatment form Dr. Hunt. She is supportive of my issues & respectful of my wishes for treatment. She is brilliant, insightful & caring to my needs. She is proactive, professional & provides quality care. She was never late for my appointments despite her packed schedule of clients. I was given all the time I needed for an appointment (rare for most doctors) and given rapid follow-up as needed. The treatment she gives is rarely paid for by insurances, so private pay is necessary unless insurances will work with her (i.e., blood work may be covered). This information was provided upfront to patients. She & her husband, Dr. Ben Hunt recently moved to southern CA and joined a well- respected specialty group called "Holtorf Medical Group. Dr. Lisa Hunt has provided continual care for those patients with her previous office and is open to seeing patients out of her current area. Seems to me staff is writing reviews! I find the whole office to be PRETENTIOUS for no apparent reason. They have stumbled on a need and taken advantage of it. I should have known better when I first called to make an appointment for Bio-Identical Hormone replacement. I was treated like I was lucky they even answered my call! I was told they were so in demand that they were booked for 4 months! But low and behold they had a cancellation for the next week though. Then after waiting for quite some time I was rushed to the point that I didn't get all my question answered. The PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! HIGHWAY ROBERY...Geesh! Anyway, I found a pharmacy that send the test off for me with just a note from my doctor. The Lab charged just $130. The pharmacy didn't charge anything for the service! They make the cream right there and the whole process took 10 days. I don't like FAKE, and I don''t like to be OVERCHARGED! read more

Dr. Lisa Hunt, is a talented and caring doctor. I started with her 18 years ago at Cornerstone Family Practice where she was my primary care provider through Kaiser. I immediately knew I had met a unique individual. She always listened to me and was compassionate about the care I received. She saw me through the meonpause nightmare and recommended helpful books and methods for care. I followed her suggestions and sought a practitioner in Mill Valley, the closest one to Modesto that would help my situation with the proper hormonal testing. Long story short, Dr. Lisa Hunt left Cornerstone and pursued her path to a modality that actually balances homones and gives relief. I get everything I need right here at the Valley Wellness Center with Dr. Lisa Hunt. I have had for the last two years daily headaches and itching above my left eye. I started seeing Dr. Lisa Aug. 20, 2013. Dr. Lisa had me take a blood test for food allergies (ALCAT) and begin weekly BioPhotonic Therapy or (UBI) Ultraviolet Irradiation I.V. treatments. I have had 12 treatments and now I no longer have daily headaches, frequency more like 1-2 every month and the itching is almost completely gone. It has never happened to me in my entire life. I've become Dr. Lisa Hunt patient last September. She ordered me very expensive testing and supplements and I've followed all her instructions trusting her reputation. Last Wed I got my lab work results which showed I'm worse than when the treatment was initiated. I emailed Dr. Lisa Hunt (as I know she treats many of her patients online) and asked her to switch medicines. The office gave me a call and asked me to make an appt ($$$$$$$). I said I was upset, disappointed and wasn't feeling comfortable making yet another appointment to go over the same symptoms She then gave me a call and she then said that we just started to work together and it was the first time I was contacting her I should go for an appt with my food diary and I should read a suggested book (which I've read 1 year ago) to find out myself what the roots of my disease were. Yesterday I got a registered letter informing me I should find another establishment to care for my health. I gave the office a call to request an explanation and the Office Manager said they don't owe me any explanation. I feel bad I've hurt her elevated ego and surprised she felt she needed to try to humiliate me. I am thrilled to have found Dr. Lisa Hunt. I'm in my early 60's and was experiencing weight gain no matter how healthy I ate, especially in my abdomen. I also was diagnosed with IBS last year and the emergency room doctor at that time told me it was related to stress. Doctors then wanted to put me on some sort of muscle relaxers and antigas med. I was also exhausted every evening, sleeping poorly, and feeling a vauge sense that what was going on was being ignored by my general practitioner, who I'd been seeing for about a year since I relocated. After a series of tests Dr. Lisa ordered (some of which my insurance covered, some not), the resulting reports spoke exactly to my issues and it was the first time in a long while I felt I was being heard. Dr. Hunt is very knowledgeable and her staff supportive, responsive and helpful. She put me on a protocol and was available when I had questions. She replies to emails and her staff checked in on me on a regular basis via email and text messages. I've since lost the extra weight (33 lbs), am back to my former weight which I've been able to maintain with ease. I am feeling more energy and overall better than I have in years. I knew I had some food allergies, but we discovered other foods I need to avoid which has also made a difference in how I feel. The inflammation response I'd been dealing with is gone, my blood sugar has normalized, I'm sleeping well again at night, and, interestingly, my arthritis symptoms have disappeared. Yes there are out of pocket expenses primarily because insurance companies are only interested in paying for treatments for symptoms rather than for what is the cause or root of the health issue. She is very compassionate and makes me feel like my needed care is always her priority. For over 20 years I have struggled with my weight and multiple health issues. Dr Lisa is the first and only Dr who has been willing or able to really address the issues I have. She identified numerous medical issues that were going on, that were verified by my primary care physician when he was when shown the labs that backed them up. In addition she was able to improve my sleep system which had been shot for years and my immune system. My hormones were so out of whack I needed windshield wipers in the winter because of the enormity of my hot flashes that never stopped. I was in constant sweats and torrential downpours of sweating.
