I recently had a "gum graft" surgery here, and am happy with everything so far! My doctor was Dr…read more Hoffman, Dr. Weiss's business partner. I was a bit scared at first, knowing what was going to happen in the procedure, but everyone was very kind and reassuring to me, even though I was being a bit of a baby. I didn't feel anything during the procedure, despite being fully conscious, and the rook of my mouth did not hurt at all after. I just keep my eyes closed and breathed through my nose. I don't have a dental phobia or anything, but still, the idea of a gum graft is rather gross so I'm glad they took good care of me. I highly recommend coming here for your gum graft needs. I believe they take most insurance providers; luckily mine covered almost everything, as it is an expensive surgery. My only constructive criticism is pain management. They prescribed me ibuprofen and a special mouthwash, but I think I could have used something stronger a couple days after the procedure. I was able to manage with just the ibuprofen, but a few times I had to take quite a few (800 mg) and feel Vicodin or something like that would have been worth it at that point. But, it was a minor inconvenience, as it was only this bad for a day or two. If you have to have this surgery, it's nothing to be scared of, really.

The office was able to squeeze me and handle the emergency all in the same day. Dawn, the receptionist was kind and welcoming. She was patient in trying to figure out my insurance information and treated me like one of their own from the moment I walked in the door. Taylor, the dental assistant on my case, was wonderful. She was professional, paid close attention to detail and made what could have been a tense situation feel light. I want to preface the next part of this review by saying that I have had subpar dental experiences in my past, some that drove me away from the dentist for years... Dr. Lowenguth was INCREDIBLE. He got to the cause of my issue without judgement and was quick to come up with a solution. He was personable and funny with wonderful chair side manner and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. You can tell that his patients and staff matter to him and he is passionate about his practice. THANK YOU to Victor Family Dentistry for saving my day, I look forward to being your patient moving forward.

But more importantly, I went to get a cavity filled and he numbed one side and I sat and waited. And then when he came in and was looking at the X-rays he was like oh, the cavity is on the other side. Oops! He then numbed the other side of my face- so now everything is numb. He filled the cavity. But he couldn't even read the X-ray. Makes me a little nervous letting him drill into my teeth ..

Had two crowns replaced on my two upper font teeth. The tech doing the preparation for the crowns…read morehad pretty much little experience at what she was doing and as a result the one crown does not reach the gum line and both of them hit my bottom teeth making it impossible to chew foo. I went back and the dentist tried to grind down two of the bottom teeth which were also crowns and ended up exposing the metal build up posts in the process. And after that they still hit each other while trying to close and bite. The attitude was pretty much there was nothing he could do about it. also I was charged for core build up on both teeth and insurance was billed for the core build up which I'm 100% sure was never done. (Insurance fraud?) When the new crowns did not fit right they should have been replaced with correct fitting crowns. As others have stated I agree it's all about the money and not about quality dental procedures. To correct the problem I had to have the two bottom crowns replaced so they no longer hit the top teeth. Fortunately they (Cornerstone Dental) knows what they're doing and corrected the issue that Henrietta Family Dental caused. So all said and done the two procedures totaled almost $7,000.00. My recommendation is to avoid this dental practice. I can highly recommend Cornerstone Dental to anyone needing dental work. Save yourself a headache and stay away from Henrietta Family Dental.

I was referred to Dr Fantuzzo, and after my consult appointment, I felt more at ease than I expected. I wasn't able to afford IV anesthesia (blame my insurance not the doctor) so I had to opt for Nitrous. The pain had gotten so bad that I unfortunately needed to get the surgery done the day before my birthday. BUT, oh my gosh. The surgery experience was fantastic. I remember hearing him say "first ones out," but I didn't feel a thing! My recovery was so smooth the next two days, no swelling, no pain, no blood. He's not a magician, he's an expert. He knows what he's doing. My surgery only took 30 minutes, and that's not because he rushed, it's because he is literally THAT good. If you ever need teeth removed by an oral surgeon, you will be in the best hands in the area (possibly the whole state) if you go to Dr Fantuzzo.

To further elaborate, the entire staff at Elmwood Dental Group is incredible.. dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff-literally everyone there! Elmwood Dental Group make visiting the dentist an extremely pleasurable experience. More recently, my four year-old son fell face first onto a bench while visiting the Strong Museum of Play. With a quick call to Elmwood Dental, they had us in office in less than an hour. Their staff are so amazing with the little ones! Dr. Chris made his x-ray super painless, and as much fun as a four year-old can have getting an x-ray on a tender tooth. Dr. Comfort even gave out her cell number in case he had an issue over the weekend, while the office was closed. Additionally, I want to add that Kayla, the hygienist who worked on my two young boys, made it so fun for them, it seemed like a playdate. Same goes with the filling that Dr. Comfort performed on my older son. He was genuinely enjoying himself and having fun the whole time. I love this practice and would recommend it to anyone in need of dental care. Which is everyone, really. My family has only been going here for about a month, but already the staff feel like family. Thanks for being so awesome Elmwood Dental Group!!! I appreciate you.

Root Canal? - NO PAIN! Unheard of! - Not with Dr. Kyle Saisselin! I had a horrific experience…read morethat left me very apprehensive. But this experience was completely different! My phone call was answered by Nicky who answered all my questions with patience and understanding. She provided reassurance for my fears and gave me a total breakdown of costs over the phone - so no surprises! The day before my appointment, Nicky called to remind me and when I showed up she greeted me with warmth like she knew me for years. Next came Donna, Dr. Saisselin's assistant. She added another layer of kindness and compassion - answering questions and sharing information on the procedure so I knew what to expect. Her knowledge and gentle handling of equipment made me relax and put me at ease. Dr. Saisselin introduced himself and allowed me to share my concerns about what I was feeling. He was thorough in explaining what he would do. Anytime I had questions, even during the procedure, he would stop and listen and answer me - with patience and without judgement - always with a desire to ensure I was comfortable. His professionalism, "bedside" manner, and expertise were superb. I will never have my general dentist perform the work of an endodontic. It just doesn't make sense. Dr. Saisselin has equipment that provides much better access in performing the procedure and makes it more comfortable for patients. I have to mention the NO PAIN issue. Dr. Saisselin uses multiple local anesthetics to ensure the maximum level of comfort. Injections are eased into the skin - not jammed or forced. My regular dentist had been jamming the needle into the back of my mouth, I could feel a crunching sensation as she pushed the anesthetic into my gum. It was not pleasant. My entire body tensed. She was very apologetic saying, "I'm so sorry, I know it hurts but that's how I know I've got it in the correct location." REALLY?! What was I thinking!? So, coming in to meet Dr. Saisselin for the first time and sitting for a root canal, I was waiting for the painful injection. But THAT'S NOT HOW HE WORKS! He numbs you first with a citrus topical for a little bit before any needle. And, he's very slow with the first injection and works it while rubbing the cheek to keep any discomfort to a minimum. I told him he should give lessons on how to administer anesthetics. This experience made me realize I don't have to be in pain when having dental work and gave me reason to change dentists! Thank you, Dr. Saisselin. You, Nicky, and Donna made a very uncomfortable and painful situation bearable. I highly recommend your services and will quickly return if need be, in the future.
