There's something so loyal about going to the "little guys" and I feel a bit sorry for them but the prices were really good! They had specials galore when I went there and not on the cheap stuff but the expensive drinks. I ended up buying pear cider and I don't even like it that much but the deal was too good to say no. I also stocked up on some bottles of wine and bought a six-pack and now I get worried about how easily I'm convinced by a price tag. There's something a bit "old school" about a little bottle shop on it's own and I have a thing for supporting the "little people" so I'll be sure to go back there to stock up in a few weeks.

Anyway, this place was still pretty good because you go buy and have here, and just take away, and I'm not sure if the prices were all that different either (it is usually more expensive to consume the liquor on-premises). Fridges lining the walls, stacks of beer cartons all over the place. But to the side of the store stretches a bar where you can sit down and have a drink - most likely beer or spirits. To give you a picture of the clientele, think a mix of backpackers, kids that just got their first ID and the usual crazies that haunt Fitzroy Street. My idea of fun? Absolutely not. But I'm not going to give it 1 stars because for the many visitors that it attracts, it's right up their alley. If you're looking for a dirt cheap night out, want to relive your drinking tales at dive bars in Thailand, or just somewhere to duck in and pick up a few beers on the way to somewhere else, this will do the job.
