Situated in the middle of nowhere, but immediately off the exit, Lafayette Beverage is an extensive warehouse with solid selection of bottles ranging from wine to liquor to beer. Prices are on average 5-10% below fair market value. The wines purchased here were of good quality and were clearly handled properly in terms of temperatures before reaching the store. Oh and they even have some solid cigars. As this place appears to be more catering to passers by on the interstate, there is a very clean restroom as well. Thus, Lafayette Beverage gets all the thumps up as a stop over liquor and wine warehouse.

Arrived here about 2 PM, so if they have a crowd at noon we were lucky to have few diners. Spouse ordered a flat bread dish and for me a Classic Cobb salad. She thought the flatbread was delicious, lots of great toppings. As for the Cobb a heaping dish, greens, avocado, eggs, blue cheese, tomatoes, grilled chicken, and a heap of great bacon. Not a negative but you get what you pay for. A little pricey but well worth the quality. Certainly on our list for our next town visit.

One of my friends was commenting on how she always has the best service, and she and Cade realized he had taken care of her group before! Consistency in the restaurant business is key, but you all nailed it! The wine flight (thanks Cade for the amazing recommendations!!) and the food was outstanding! Huge portions! Their own beer selections are a bit limited, but they make up for it with some other local "guest taps" to round out their offerings. The beers that I tried were great, and the food menu is impressive for a small brewery. I had the Beacon Bacon Burger, which was excellent. The venue itself is pretty cool, with a fenced in outdoor area, and a back room that has a speakeasy feel to it. All in all, a nice stop for a cold beer and some good food! My only criticism - the brewery is family friendly, but I didn't see a changing table in the restrooms. I may have missed it, but if there isn't one please consider installing one.

We ordered mussels to share. 12 good sized mussels, flavorful broth, very garlicky. Lukewarm. Server didn't bring bowls for shells or proper small forks.Three small pieces of plain toasted French bread slices to sop up broth- not enough, no flavor. I ordered the duck and asked specifically for medium well with crispy skin. Came medium rare with soggy skin under a raspberry purée. I couldn't eat it, but didn't bother sending it back. If they can't even try to get it right the first time, why bother. My husband ate mine and I ate his pork chop- dry, no flavor. They didn't have any decaf coffee and server offered to brew a pot of regular coffee. For gods sake get a keurig. Creme brûlée was tasteless. Overall a below than average performance for a "fine dining" establishment. Won't go back.
