Dean and his team have left me with a patio that is not fit for purpose…read more Due to Dean cementing over the damp coarse, to which he admitted doing I was left with damp inside of my lounge. Even after Dean and his team carried out remedials I have still been left with a patio that is too high as the ground underneath was not dug out. There is no drainage hence the rainwater was going into the air bricks. Several of the slabs have been laid upside down, and the majority rock when you stand on them. They are not level, just to name a few of the problems. Dean was paid £4,200.00 in full before the job was completed..why you may ask? Because there was not a day that I did not hear that he was behind on work due to bad weather and he has to bring in £4000.00 every month to pay wages and bills. I have been a total fool. Dean did tell me to get another contractor to put the job right but then changed his mind. Then he said he would try and get me my money back through his insurance, when I asked for their name he said he would get it to me. Did he? Know! He cut off contact. I did review him on another site but guess what, he turned off his reviews. I think it could be because I said if anyone would like to see his work please ring me on 07525 761 222 and they are are more than welcome to come and look. The offer still stands. Or if anyone would like to see photo's of his handwork I can email them and a copy of what other contractors have put in writing about this patio.

I couldn't believe how little they wanted to do it too. But anyway, that's not the real important thing. I recently bought a house - my first!! yay! - and the rear garden was a real bomb site. There was the skeleton of an old greenhouse, piles of rubble everywhere, mountains of bricks, window frames, a bed...I think you get the picture. It must have been a dumping ground for many years. Oh, and there were horrible concrete paths all around the garden, which simply had to go. And the lavels were all over the place. I wanted all the rubbish and rubble gone, the concrete paths gone, and the levels landscaped and profiled. I felt so sorry for the Grass Roots lads because as they were scaping the land - after spending 3 days taking everything to the skip - they kept finding more and more rubble that had been buried. This explains the occasional big piles of soil. Why would people bury rubble? So, when everything had been removed and the land was profiled, weedkiller was sprayed onto all the soil surfaces. Paul then came back 2 weeks later and re-sprayed because he said weeds love bare soil. He didn't charge for this, by the way. We then discussed how to create the perfect garden for me and my ducks - which I will be buying soon. Anyway, I've rambled on far too long. All I wanted to say is that I cannot recommend Grass Roots highly enough. The garden looks absolutely amazing now and I cannot believe the transformation. I am in awe of the Grass Roots boys.
