On the big day, Mari, Sarah, Juree, and Jessica were equal parts professional and fun. They were warm, friendly, and calming. My friends and I tend to keep our hair and makeup really simple in our day-to-day lives, and I could tell everyone felt comfortable and confident. Each of my friends and family members looked beautiful, and I was really moved by how the Page team brought out each of their personalities and accentuated their natural beauty. If you're wondering whether you should have your hair and makeup team stick around for the reception, I would highly recommend it. Tanya was so responsive and able to find me available stylist for my Thanksgiving weekend wedding. We had family members who also wanted hair and makeup, and she was able to set them up with stylist as well, which we greatly appreciated. When I was indecisive about what hair clip I wanted, Tanya was so patient with me, emailing back and forth with suggestions and helping me pick the perfect one! My initial makeup stylist got sick the weekend of my wedding, but Tanya was able to replace her with Barbie for my Friday rehearsal and then I had the pleasure of having Tanya for my makeup on the big day. Stefanie was my hair stylist. I loved how they made me look! I don't wear a ton of makeup in my day-to-day life, so I didn't want to look over-the-top made up at my wedding. Considering I called ahead and was told highlights started at $100, I didn't think to ask the cost of a hair cut. Rey works with her mom, who did my highlights and quoted me for the highlights, although she did not tell me all of the add-ons she was doing. By the time I walked out of the salon, they charged me more than $400. The receipt was scribbled onto a scrap of paper. She did mine and my wife's make-up for our wedding celebration two weeks ago. Our guests were wowed by our looks and we felt like celebrities. From the moment my wife had her trial appointment with her, she had us completely sold. Even me! I am absolutely a no make-up girl, I somehow couldn't get over a traumatic make up job years ago, the kind that made me stay away from the cosmetics aisle at department stores. I couldn't imagine getting another pancake, clown make-up experience. But Jeannie changed all that. First, when we met Jeannie, she was so sweet. We instantly chatted up like old friends. Also, her space in West LA is so cozy, clean and pretty. I felt like moving in. Her style is natural and fresh. She makes you look a better version of you. Not the kind where people don't recognize you anymore. And that's what we really liked about her. My wife asked her to use air brush and Jeannie was a pro with it. Jeannie was also honest but not brutal. She politely brought up the issue of facial hair; those minute hairs all over your face you hardly notice but get in the way between your skin and the make-up. When she brought it up, she did it in a way where we didn't take offense at all. In fact, we signed up for a full face threading days before the wedding. It was worth it. Jeannie was very gentle and she made us feel comfortable. On the day of our wedding, she came on time to the hotel room and she went right to work. Next thing we know, my wife was all made up and she looked stunning! And me? I looked the prettiest I had ever been. True story. And to demonstrate how sweet Jeannie was, she even helped my wife put on her wedding gown and shoes. I felt like she should be part of our wedding entourage. Jeannie chose Cyndi to replace the original hair person because she rocks and she knew they worked well together. Things could not have worked out better! We had already worked with Jeannie doing makeup for my sister's wedding a few months prior so I already knew I loved her work and her personality. To my relief, Cyndi was not only fabulous with hair but also a pleasure to work with. I was able to do trials with both of them at my convenience and they were so open and responsive to feedback and requests. I got exactly what I wanted for my hair and makeup on the day of my wedding. Our wedding happened to be on carmaggedon weekend in LA so they graciously came super early in the morning in case there were any delays.
