I hosted my husband's 7-0 birthday party on Mother's Day, and it turned out absolutely beautiful! The process with the Park staff was seamless. From our contract to the cleanup everything turned out , as planned. I had 60 people with a catered barbecue by SCOOTERS from Ventura, the hosted bar open for my guests w wine and champagne, and a great DJ. I really appreciate how beautiful the Park is, amongst the trees and green grass. There was plenty of parking for our guests, nice bathrooms, a kitchen for cold foods and lots of room to play. I rented out the Lions Park Hall for my daughter's 15th birthday (quinceanera) and omg was it beautiful! I have attended the park as a wedding guest and I loved it so much we chose it for our own event. Cat is professional, responsive, and flexible. I really appreciated her helpfulness. The bartenders at our event were fast and made delicious margaritas. The onsite monitor the day of the event was sweet and kind. There are also so many wonderful add ons like the bridal suite, access to the kitchen and entry to the venue the night before. I can't rave about it enough! I 100% recommend the venue. Lion's Park was the most BEAUTIFUL place to have our wedding on 7/1/23! Very spacious grounds to accommodate 135 guests for both an outdoor ceremony and reception. Venue pricing was more than reasonable. Cat was extremely accommodating, was quick to respond to my questions throughout the planning process, and overall was very easy to work with. Our vendors were able to show up and start putting the event together first thing in the morning. We had access to the bridal suite and got ready here for the full day, as well. The bar staff was excellent. Parking lot had enough space for all of our guests' vehicles. Our guests said this was one of the best weddings they've ever been to. The most beautiful venue we could have imagined! Lions Park is honestly such a treat. My husband & I got married at Lions Park on April 16, 2022, and can't thank our wedding planner enough for showing us this venue. We had a wedding of about 130 people, and it never felt too crowded. We loved being able to rent out the whole park for our special day. It was so nice having both inside and outside access through out the night. We also LOVED the staff at the Park! We can't say enough good things about Cat! She was so easy to work with, and made us feel so comfortable. The bartenders who helped us on our wedding day, were very nice as well. My husband and I were married at Lions Park in March. It was an absolutely amazing experience! The venue has it all, great location, wonderful landscaping, flawless facilities, and an extremely helpful staff that runs it. Cat and David were fantastic assisting us throughout the whole process. Lions Park was the perfect setting for us to pledge our undying love towards one another. The outdoor area for the ceremony was picturesque. A sprawling green that was perfectly accented with trees and shrubs. There were ample places for pictures to be taken, and there are many different options as to how you would like to have your ceremony set up. The venue also has a lovely lodge that we utilized to hold our reception at immediately following the ceremony. The lodge had a full commercial kitchen, bar, dining area, dance floor, restrooms, and bridal suite. In addition to all of the amenities indoors, there is a lovely deck that wraps around, which was great as it allowed for a lovely outdoor conversation area. All around Lions Park was an absolute hit for us, and we cannot sing it's praises enough. Our wedding day was made unforgettably memorable because of Lions Park. I got married here July 2017. I wanted an indoor/outdoor venue that was rustic and unfussy, yet sophisticated. This place was PERFECT. I looked at a lot of places and Lions Park was simply the best. We had our ceremony outside under the trees on the lawn and we had our reception in their lodge (sooo cute!). They are happy to recommend vendors they like to work with and really help to make your day unique and tailored to you. Let me list some of my favorite things: 1. When your rent this place, it's YOURS for the whole day. It's not open to the public and randoms aren't going to wander onto the property because there's only one wedding each day. 2. They have bartenders which you DON'T have to rent and they let you bring your own wine. Nuff said. 3. The staff is so friendly and warm. Cat is superb. She was attentive to my needs, very accommodating and helpful. The whole bar staff was on top of everything and they really made sure to make my day special. 4. The bridal cottage. All of my bridesmaids were blown away and it was easily the nicest one I looked at. There was one huge main room with a mirror that runs along one wall, a bathroom with a shower, and a bedroom with a full length mirror. More than enough room for my 5 bridesmaids and my mothers It's exactly how I'd pictured getting ready wth my girls, (and more!) 5. Totally reasonable pricing. We had a company luncheon at Lions Park. With COVID concerns we wanted an outdoor space that could hold us comfortably where people could feel safe. We had such a lovely time. My husband and I absolutely loved this venue! It is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful "nature" and "woodsy" look that made decorating very simple since it didn't really need anything extra! The indoor portion was perfect for the reception, but outdoors was gorgeous the whole time allowing guests to play Cornhole and horseshoes outside, and a ceremony that led up to the "natural arch" of the trees. Our band was also well shaded and plugged in under the gazebo. It was the perfect day for us! The bridal suite is also stunning; our photographer raved about how perfectly set up it was for her. I loved hanging out in there with my bridesmaids. Lions Park provides a lot of amenities too, which eased stress for us. Many thanks to Cat and the Lion's Club Park for an amazing day!! We had our daughter's wedding here in August and this setting helped make it a magical day to remember. We really all wanted an intimate outdoor DIY wedding in a beautiful natural setting, and that's exactly what we got! Due to covid, our first choice of venue was unavailable, but that turned our to be a blessing in disguise as we were all so happy with how the day turned out. First, the setting is beautiful. We decorated the on site arch with garlands and placed it under the trees for a perfect ceremony. We set up tables around a dance floor in front of the lodge for our reception. We did the flowers ourselves and the vibe was just what we hoped for. There is also a cute gazebo, an indoor hall if you prefer for the reception, a play area off to the side (our flower girls and their brother enjoyed that) , a full kitchen, and a really nice bridal suite. Plus, plenty of parking. Second, Cat was awesome from start to finish. She answered all of our questions and offered helpful suggestions and was just super easy to deal with. Finally, the price was affordable. So, we were delighted with how the day turned out! A few tips: We used Cat's lighting (extra fee but very reasonably priced) and this added so much to the vibe. We did the flowers ourselves (Mayesh in Oxnard wholesale florist) and we are happy that we did. We had a taco truck and Mariachi band for dinner and our guests loved this. For dancing, we skipped the DJ and did our own set list and brought in a rented PA system. It worked great! We had about 50 guests but the venue can easily accomodate a bigger event. We hired Cat's son to help with bussing and clean up and that freed us up to enjoy the evening. We highly recommend Cat and the Lion's Park! Thanks for a day we will always remember!! read more

Such a hidden gem!! Perfect venue for so many things, but for us it was our wedding. Cat made it easy by being available via email or phone to answer my gazillion questions and allowing us to come to the venue when it wasn't rented out. We went many times to help picture set up and decorations, etc. If you are looking for a venue that allows you and all in one then this is the place! We were married on June 11th and everyone kept asking "where is this place again" and by the end everyone was asking "how do we rent this place out". This lovely venue made my wedding beautiful, peaceful, fun and COVID friendly for those that didn't want to be inside. It has it's own bar, professional kitchen, indoor bathrooms (so many venues do not), a gorgeous reception hall, gazebo, beautiful lawn and the best bridal suite out there. If you cannot tell, I want to hold more things at Lions Park because it really is a perfect and affordable venue. Please take my word for it! read more

My daughter had her wedding here last month and it was just like a fairy tale. The setting could have not been more gorgeous. The wedding was outside in front of the three-trunk trees on the southeast side of the park, the perfect natural backdrop for the ceremony with the lush green grass. The reception was indoors at the lodge which was a beautiful, warm, elegant and woodsy vibe. Cat, the manager of the park was helpful and friendly and so easy to work with then entire time throughout the planning, and was super responsive to all our inquiries . The park and lodge are very well taken care of so there was not much to do on our end, but bring in the flowers, chairs, linens, catering, photo booth and other decor to make it a day to remember. Carlos, who takes care of the grounds could have not been more friendly, helpful and kind as we were there the day before setting up to tend to any last minute requests we had. This venue has everything you need to host a casual, but elegant wedding or any other celebration. They also have a list of vendors that they use regularly that was very helpful to us, so that took a lot of guess work out of hunting for vendors up that way that we would otherwise not have been familiar with. (Update! There has been recent (POSITIVE) upgrades to their bartending staff, I do hope I have made a impact & a difference by sharing my experience.) Original Review..... Let me start by saying that this review is not only based off of my own personal experience but is also based off of the experience that my guests received on my wedding day at the Lions Park. I know that everyone had a blast at my wedding because I asked a majority of my guests a few days later. The only negative reviews I heard was about the treatment that my guests received from the bartenders working for the lions park. I think that at the least when a person is going to work at a wedding that they should try to make this day as special as possible for the soon to be newlywed couple and their guests by being polite and other common social skills that they obviously lack. The lions park has their own bar and bartenders. It wasn't good, gosh... We're do I begin. They were dressed as if they were attending a BBQ. Whenever I or a guest ordered a drink they would sigh and make a gesture like "uhhh", as if they didn't want to be there or be doing their job. A job that cost me, the customer, over $3k. Where's the customer service? Lions Park is in my homel town, Carpinteria, and is a beautiful place with with lots of green grass and big beautiful oak trees. The events coordinator for Lions park, Aimee Banks, did a good job and accommodated all of our needs and requirements. She was a pleasure to work with; however, I feel like the customer service was only good up until the wedding day came. That's the day that mattered most. It feels like after they got their money than they didn't care anymore. That may not be the case but that's how it made me feel. Aimee apologized for the bartenders behavior but it doesn't change how I feel much. It shouldn't be like that. It's the most important day of a persons life, it's supposed to feel special. The guests shouldn't feel like they're not welcome... But unfortunately that was the case.. Sorry Lions, you guys have to fix your bartender customer service problems before you host anymore weddings. read more

We just had our wedding at Lions park and it was a beautiful day! We used the gazebo adorned with flowers for our ceremony and it was perfect for us, simple and classy. The reception area looked great inside with all of the wood and the beautiful light display on the wall. I wish I could give 5 stars but some things need to be addressed. Initially, the event manager was very helpful and quick to reply to emails and questions. But as time went on she was slower to reply or did not reply at all. Eventually my wedding coordinator had to get involved and event manager stated she had not seen my emails. Event manager was very apologetic and nice but it is stressful tying to plan a wedding from 3 hours away not to hear back promptly. Also, we paid for day before wedding access to the park so we could set up our venue/reception. We had our catering staff delivering linens at a specific time but none of us could get in as the doors were not opened for us as promised. We were waiting around for a while hoping the staff would come but no one arrived. We contacted the bar manager who was able to give us the code to let us in the building and thank goodness because no staff ended up coming to let us in. On the day of the wedding the bridal suite was cute and spacious but had no toilet paper in bathroom, hand towel in bathroom or paper towels in kitchen. I searched the premises and found some toilet paper in a storage closet but it would have nice to have been stocked. The white couch was very dirty/stained and we placed a sheet over it so we felt comfortable sitting on it. The main thing was my wedding turned out great, the park was beautiful and the lodge area was rustic and charming. The groundskeeper came the morning of the wedding and made the park look wonderful. I would like to say the bar manager Dave is so helpful, friendly and quick to reply to all emails and calls. The bar staff was very friendly on the night of the wedding as well. Overall I would recommend this beautiful park if the communication issues improved. read more

We had a fully outdoor wedding here and it was an incredible space. We had our ceremony underneath the trees and had our dance floor set up underneath the beautiful string lighting that the venue offers to set up if you'd like. I would highly recommend having the venue coordinator Kat assist in setting those up. She was amazing, responsive, and attentive in the months leading up to our event. We celebrated a birthday party here with about 80 guests and had an amazing time! The staff and facilities are really impressive. It's super easy to make a reservation but I recommend making them in advance, as the park can book up pretty quickly. Our event was in March, when there is always a slight chance of rain, but that's where the venue stands out. We had light rain the day of the event but with the trees, covered decks and indoor outdoor flow everyone was able to enjoy the entire facility with no detriment to the e or excitement and fun. In fact, we all would have had just as much fun had it rained terribly, since the inside building is so well laid out. We still enjoyed the kids play structure, horseshoe pits and volleyball net. Oh my gosh this place is huge on the inside and outside allowing everyone to congregate where they wanted to. It was really nice that Cat sent us a floor plan so we could design the table layout ourselves. We really felt like she was working hard to ensure we understood the options available to us. The bar is large and very well stocked with a good selection of beers and mixed drinks. And, you can even bring your own selection of wine if you want to with a minimal corkage fee. The bathrooms are large and clean. The commercial sized kitchens accommodate all food and drink needs you can imagine. There is tons of parking and the venue is easy to get to from town. Comments from our guests were all very good, with everyone having felt like we catered to them; parents, kids and adults all raved about their own unique experiences. That really made us happy, as bigger events usually have a mixed attendance. All in all the park is extremely affordable for what you get and remember, it is a non-profit with proceeds staying locally. With that in mind, this set-up is superior to a large hotel/resort since you get quality one-on-one caring assistance from local individuals working hard to please, rather than an underpaid employee of a corporation just doing their job. The venue is gorgeous and we would rather keep it to ourselves as locals, but since the profits stay locally, we cannot voice loud enough how amazing Lions Park is for events of all size, any time of year! When we got engaged we knew we wanted to get married in Carpinteria but we're worried we wouldn't be able to find an affordable venue. When we found Lions Park it was like hitting a gold mine. Cat was wonderful to work with and she made the whole planning process a breeze. Which is great because as we learned planning a wedding isn't always a walk in the park. They have an on site bridal suite which was perfect for getting ready and being on site to oversee the setup of the venue. We had our wedding this past January at Lions Park and had a wonderful experience! Despite turnover with the event coordinators, things went smoothly and Cat was extremely helpful answering all our questions despite just taking over. Our only hiccup was with coordinating the host bar where there was confusion/disagreements, but in the end things worked out really well with help from Cat. The park is perfect for DIY weddings on a budget like ours. Lions Park is very flexible and has little to no restrictions on set up design, vendors, ect. We did our own catering, music, and decor and they made all of it very easy for us. We loved how laid back they allowed our special day to be. These grounds are perfect for an intimate wedding (less than 125) with a casual feel. The lodge has gorgeous wood and requires very little decor and has a great space for whatever set up you desire. Outdoors is simple but pretty for a ceremony. Overall Lions Park was a perfect venue for our DIY wedding, especially since we didn't want to spend a fortune on a venue in Santa Barbara. We got married at Lion's Park venue this month. The venue was perfect, the bridal suite, awesome! This is the perfect setting for a romantic wedding! The grounds are such a bonus! Guests with children sure enjoyed having that playground to keep their kids from getting bored. The gazebo looked dreamy with our flowers.
