Lion's Park was the most BEAUTIFUL place to have our wedding on 7/1/23! Very spacious grounds to accommodate 135 guests for both an outdoor ceremony and reception. Venue pricing was more than reasonable. Cat was extremely accommodating, was quick to respond to my questions throughout the planning process, and overall was very easy to work with. Our vendors were able to show up and start putting the event together first thing in the morning. We had access to the bridal suite and got ready here for the full day, as well. The bar staff was excellent. Parking lot had enough space for all of our guests' vehicles. Our guests said this was one of the best weddings they've ever been to. I have and will continue to recommend Lion's Park to anybody planning an event (especially a wedding)! Thank you, Cat and staff, for making our special day one to always remember! We had the most fantastic experience at the Lions Park for our wedding! Cat, the manager is great and there's almost everything you need other than you're own decorations etc. but the venue alone is so gorgeously rustic on its own! The gazebo, porch, large indoors and plenty of parking made it perfect for our special day!

My husband and I were married at Lions Park in March. It was an absolutely amazing experience! The venue has it all, great location, wonderful landscaping, flawless facilities, and an extremely helpful staff that runs it. Cat and David were fantastic assisting us throughout the whole process. Lions Park was the perfect setting for us to pledge our undying love towards one another. The outdoor area for the ceremony was picturesque. A sprawling green that was perfectly accented with trees and shrubs. There were ample places for pictures to be taken, and there are many different options as to how you would like to have your ceremony set up. The venue also has a lovely lodge that we utilized to hold our reception at immediately following the ceremony. The lodge had a full commercial kitchen, bar, dining area, dance floor, restrooms, and bridal suite. In addition to all of the amenities indoors, there is a lovely deck that wraps around, which was great as it allowed for a lovely outdoor conversation area. All around Lions Park was an absolute hit for us, and we cannot sing it's praises enough. Our wedding day was made unforgettably memorable because of Lions Park. We highly recommend Lions Park for any event!

OK, where do I start? I really wanted to have my wedding here, but my husband (fiancé at the time) Did not. After looking into several different options, he finally decided to let me have my way! Of course, that is the way it should always be... And that is the way it will continue to be! And he was soooooo happy that we did!! I immediately bonded with Cat, and was extremely excited to get the wedding planning started... Cat was absolutely 100% everything I never knew I needed when it came to wedding planning! I never thought I would get married, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, and she spent countless hours helping me out throughout the process... Anytime I had a question, she immediately answered it... She was precise, responsive and knowledgeable, and made things really really really easy for us. I literally could not imagine having any other venue being so helpful. She made me feel no stress! She was very professional, personable, and all-around knowledgeable about everything that comes with planning a wedding. The location is perfect. The staff (Cat, the only one I talked to) is great and all the guests were extremely impressed!!! The price was perfect, too! Don't look elsewhere!!!

My husband and I absolutely loved this venue! It is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful "nature" and "woodsy" look that made decorating very simple since it didn't really need anything extra! The indoor portion was perfect for the reception, but outdoors was gorgeous the whole time allowing guests to play Cornhole and horseshoes outside, and a ceremony that led up to the "natural arch" of the trees. Our band was also well shaded and plugged in under the gazebo. It was the perfect day for us! The bridal suite is also stunning; our photographer raved about how perfectly set up it was for her. I loved hanging out in there with my bridesmaids. Lions Park provides a lot of amenities too, which eased stress for us. We were able to set up practically everything the night before, making the day of nice and smooth. 100% recommend this venue! Wouldn't change a thing about our wedding day!

Many thanks to Cat and the Lion's Club Park for an amazing day!! We had our daughter's wedding here in August and this setting helped make it a magical day to remember. We really all wanted an intimate outdoor DIY wedding in a beautiful natural setting, and that's exactly what we got! Due to covid, our first choice of venue was unavailable, but that turned our to be a blessing in disguise as we were all so happy with how the day turned out. First, the setting is beautiful. We decorated the on site arch with garlands and placed it under the trees for a perfect ceremony. We set up tables around a dance floor in front of the lodge for our reception. We did the flowers ourselves and the vibe was just what we hoped for. There is also a cute gazebo, an indoor hall if you prefer for the reception, a play area off to the side (our flower girls and their brother enjoyed that) , a full kitchen, and a really nice bridal suite. Plus, plenty of parking. Second, Cat was awesome from start to finish. She answered all of our questions and offered helpful suggestions and was just super easy to deal with. Finally, the price was affordable. So, we were delighted with how the day turned out! A few tips: We used Cat's lighting (extra fee but very reasonably priced) and this added so much to the vibe. We did the flowers ourselves (Mayesh in Oxnard wholesale florist) and we are happy that we did. We had a taco truck and Mariachi band for dinner and our guests loved this. For dancing, we skipped the DJ and did our own set list and brought in a rented PA system. It worked great! We had about 50 guests but the venue can easily accomodate a bigger event. We hired Cat's son to help with bussing and clean up and that freed us up to enjoy the evening. We highly recommend Cat and the Lion's Park! Thanks for a day we will always remember!!

It was my great pleasure to coordinate a wedding at Lions Park several weeks ago. The event contact, Cat, was responsive and super helpful, in all possible ways. The venue is such a hidden gem! Lovely and well cared for, the indoor space has everything a wedding party could need. The outdoors is reminiscent of the Redwoods up north, you'd hardly know you were in a beach town. I recommend it highly to anyone for events and weddings and I'll be glad to work there again. Toby, the Santa Barbara Wedding Coordinator

It's near the freeway, downtown Carpinteria, beachs, and a suburban shopping plaza with a grocery store ( eateries, Starbucks, fast food). Pros: + Complimentary breakfast. This was quite a spread and the egg and protein hot items rotates. Eggs one day could be a cheesy omelette patty and the next scrambled. The protein was bacon strip, pork sausage or turkey sausage patty. They had a pancake machine, very simple to use, just press a button. There were cinnamon rolls, bagels, bread slices, muffins, three cereal offerings, yogurt, and fruit (bananas, oranges). Coffee, tea, juices, milk, and even had almond milk. The women working the breakfast were amazing. Cheerful and helpful, adding to a great start to the day. They were taking care to refill hot food trays and tidying the area. + Outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. + Fitness center. + Free WiFi. + Free lending library in the lobby. + Complimentary 24/7 coffee and tea station in the lobby. Other: - They leave a printout of your receipt on the floor outside your door the early morning before checkout. I'm not a fan of this practice. Because we all know, people are noisy. I asked mine to be left at the desk. - The sole elevator is super small. Barely large enough for the bellhop cart and one person. - One of the two washing machines, in the guests laundry facility, was broken during our visit. - Not enough USB ports, for my liking, in the room. - The room's mini fridge temp was on the fritz. It froze my items even on a low setting. - Microwave was not cleaned. Still had the previous guests cheesy blob in it. Yikes.

This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

We'd had an early dinner, strolled down to the beach, and were headed for our car when we heard live music. Turns out that there was a live concert of rockabilly music happening. Free, too! We entered in to their courtyard and found chairs facing the band, with a dance floor set up, as well. The Rockin' Henry's were on a break, but soon returned. A nice sized crowd was on hand to enjoy beer and wine, music and dancing, in a family-friendly environment. The Rockin' Henry's are a family band with both parents, two teenage daughters, and their charming 10 year old son playing a scaled down upright base, singing lead and backup vocals, alternately, it was an event to remember. Their style is definitely rockabilly, and got people up on their feet to dance. One downside was that the sound balance was off, so that it was very hard to hear the vocals. That was a shame, as there was a lot going on in the performances. Clean restrooms inside the gallery building made for convenience. I didn't study the paintings in the gallery, though I should have, as what I could see from my courtyard seat, the art looked colorful and well-displayed. We'd look forward to attending other events at this comfortable venue, especially for music performances.

I have not seen more beautiful, unique designs. Suzie and her team worked with us over multiple virtual and in-person meetings to discuss our style and vision, create a lookbook, and design something that was really unique to us. The florals were definitely well worth the cost (and less than what other florists had quoted us) and really made our wedding design vision and aesthetic come to life. The PacWest Blooms team are real artists, just give them a general sense of what you'd like and the creative freedom to work their magic! The florals were 5/5, beyond our wildest dream! We also did month and day of coordination with PacWest Blooms. Suzie is really warm and kind and really takes the time to get to know clients, which made us feel very comfortable and at ease. Some parts or our experience felt somewhat disorganized and stressful, however, such as no or very late responses to emails, missed or late meetings, and the day-before rehearsal coordination. Ultimately, though, we had a pretty complicated wedding with many vendors, and Suzie and her team made sure the whole day came together beautifully and that we were able to enjoy it with little to no stress.
