It's a hospice that you call & get a nurse out within 3 hour. They say they can provide constant care if needed but came up with an excuse for not being able to do it multiple times. They send out a nurse once a day & an aide for an hour. The night my Dad passed the nurse specifically called in that morning asking for constant care & put it in her report. He was choking on his own mucus & it them over an hour & half to get there. The reason for the 2nd star is for Mary & Ruby. Both nurses were understanding, efficient & explained to us very clearly what to look for. Lorraine was our aide & she was so caring & gentle. The office is so unorganized that they didn't even notify Lorraine that she wasn't needed the next day after he passed.

All of the people from this agency that I had dealings with from the social worker, to the chaplain, to the nurse or aids, were all so caring and compassionate. I cared for my mother for 3-1/2 years all while battling cancer myself. For most of that time it was very stressful trying to care for us both while holding down a full-time job. If I wasn't taking her to an appointment, I was going to appointments of my own. I was referred to Hospice Community Care by my mother's primary care physician's office. My reaching out to them was the best thing I ever did. They took an immense amount of pressure and stress off of me. I immediately felt comfortable with them and had such trust in them. My mother passed on January 31st and since then they've checked in on me multiple times just to see how I'm doing. I would absolutely recommend them without hesitation.

Nurse came into and first time meeting this one she said "man he sounds terrible" wow thank you so much for that. It's crazy how they advocate for comfort care and do not care about comfort at all. Do not hire, do not even consider. It made our father's passing process a nightmare.

I flew down to be with my friend at the end of his life. He was chemically sensitive, and the staff…read morewas caring enough to really respond to this need of ours: They posted a sign on the door so no perfumes or chemicals went into the room, and the door stayed closed. I felt well cared for, as I needed to stay over with him, and each new nurse on duty really checked to make sure my friend's needs were being met. I met with two doctors, and they obviously cared, as they made variations in my friend's treatment, and spent time discussing with me. All of the staff was friendly. My friend had a cheerful room with lots of natural light. This was end of life care, and it was done with compassion, honesty and experience. I sensed that one nurse in particular really cared for my friend, and that was an added bonus. I also like that this facility allows visitors 24 hours a day which adds to the safety of each patient.

They cared for my love one unconditionally and truly impacted our family during our time of need…read more My loved one qualified for services due to her CHF and she was given a bad report coming out of the hospital: the Dr basically said she would not make it through the weekend. We brought her home that weekend and the loving and caring staff not only got her comfortable but more importantly, she had a series of falls the last few months before this hospital visit, so she had not walked for almost 8 months. She was started on some muscle strengthening exercises, given some tender love and care, and not only did she make it through the weekend, but she walked about a month later for the first time in a long time, and lived almost 7 months after receiving such initial devastating news. Our family choose Alpha Omega Hospics for our mother in Grandview Nursing Home. The care she got…read moreduring the week was definitely a 10. However when we really needed them on the weekend as mother passed we got none. The man that came out to talk to us about this company is a great salesman, but they did not deliver what was promised. I've called him twice, let messages with the company and he still has not called me. Thank goodness the week end charge nurse at the nursing home also works at a hospice company during the week. She was gracious enough to help us and to make sure our mother was transported to the correct funeral home. The person elected by Alpha Omega not only did he not care for our mother he called the wrong service to pick her up. We all make mistakes, but at least the respresentative should have enough integrity to at least follow up and apologize for the promises he made. I would hope that no other family has to go through what we did. Thinking that hospices was to help patient as well as family during that difficult time I rate this company in the negative.
