I'm giving this company 1 star and I never even got a chance to use their services. Well, that's actually WHY I'm rating them at 1 star.
After we'd been transferred to the DC Metro area for a 3rd time in my husband's career, we decided to move out west, further than we usually do. We tend to rent our homes when we live in that area, due to higher cost of homes and the fact that we don't tend to stay long enough to make it worth it.
We have a usual realtor, but she wasn't keen on working with us out there and dropped us a few days before our house hunting weekend was scheduled. I was scrambling to find a realtor to work with us on our rental search. It honestly should be the easiest job ever- we had the exact area we liked, our price range and school district we wanted. We just needed someone to open up the lock boxes of the homes we wanted to see.
So, after going through the listings on a major realty website, I noticed that Linton Hall realtors was the realtor that had most of the listings. So, I called them at 8am and they weren't open for the day. Their recording said to leave a message and they'd call back immediately. Immediately, yeah, okay. So, I call back at 11 after not immediately getting a return call at start of business. The receptionist said she'd forward my information on to someone. I then said I had already left a message, and that it was time sensitive for someone to return my call, that we were scheduled for a house hunting trip in 2 days and no longer had a realtor. She said she'd understood and someone would call me back shortly.
Five hours later, I still hadn't received a call back. So I called a property management company that was listed on a few rental listings that we liked. A woman very quickly called me back and listened to my story. Unfortunately, she informed me that she was not a realtor, but I could call her sister company 'Linton Hall Realtors'. I laugh-cried when she said that and I told her that I've tried all day and no one has called me back. She said she'd look into it and have someone call me.
I called one more time and left a message- never receiving a call back.
I moved on. Called a realtor listed on another favorite listing- not associated with Linton Hall. I left a message for her and within 2 minutes had a return phone call, an email conversation started and an appointment to meet up that weekend. That is customer service.
Two days later, on our drive down to VA, at 1pm, I get a call from a VA area code where no one says anything when I picked up. Immediately after hanging up, I got a text from a random Linton Hall Realtor telling me to call him, that he had been given my info.
Two days later, more than 50+ hours after my initial call/message - that's when they contact me. They definitely have a different definition on "immediately" than I do... They should change their voicemail message. read more
