K Vet Animal Care - My baby girl Peanut at the vets after her bee sting

    K Vet Animal Care

I have read the reviews here on yelp. So when my iPhone [decided] to create a short movie of…read morepictures I took with my dog and Dr. Halden, watching it made me think... and I thought I would point out my view of this veterinarian's office. We have received the most wonderful care. My dog Ember's reaction to KVET is pure joy when we walk in the door, it is undoubtably her favorite place to be. That tells me a lot! She's had a couple injuries and because of this she's spent more time at KVET than your average Pet. From the amazing ladies at the front desk to the technicians who provide countless duties and the veterinarians that care for my furry family members, [all of them] there are no words to describe my gratitude for the care we receive here. And I'm going to point out this little story that cemented my feelings about the care given when we come here... Dr. Halden was out of the office this week. But we were still able to get my Ember's cold laser treatment with one of the vet techs. The technician who worked with her on this day was one that I personally have yet to encounter. I have seen him, but never had he worked with my dog directly, that I knew of. See, when a technician takes your dog in the back to get bloodwork, x-rays, etc., etc. there's no way of knowing what goes on back there. Now Ember always comes out happy! And I saw one of the reasons why during our cold laser treatment. Tim, the gentleman who worked on Ember this day, came in and it was obvious that Ember knew him. She was so happy to see him. And as he worked on her, and I have provided a picture of her looking at him, there was genuine love in my dogs eyes. I asked him if he had ever encountered Ember in the back before. And he said he had. And that's when I realized, Ember's treatment extends much further than I had ever seen. I believe the team at KVET treats my pets the same as they would treat their own. And that's just wonderful stuff! NOTE: they treat me pretty darn well too.

DO NOT BRING ANY PET TO THIS PLACE!…read more my first experience was minor but my 22 year old cat was bleeding from the rectum and dying... you know when the end is near! I called kvets to have him put down so that he would not suffer. their response was that before they could do that they would need to run a series of test and do a full examination. $$$$$$$$ ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was hysterical crying, hung up and reached out to another vet in the area who did what needed to be done quickly and for a very, very, reasonable fee. My second experience was with my dog who suddenly could barely walk. we were still new to Greensburg so we called kvets (not sure why) but they said to bring him in. they ran tests, did xrays and were completely stumped and just sent us home with no answers giving us a ridiculous bill! that night, after they closed our boy got worse so we rushed him to Avets. the second they looked at him and touched his leg, the doctor at AVets said he had lymes disease and would do a blood test which came back positive in less than 30 minutes. we got meds a bill 1/4 of what kvets charged and went home. after 2 weeks our dog was fine. how could no one at kvets not know Lyme symptoms in Pennsylvania where ticks and Lyme disease are common? Kvets is all about $$$$$ and is the most inhumane veterinary organization I have ever dealt with! Can I change my star rating to negative 5?

Your location…read more Banfield Pet Hospital 6216 US-30, Greensburg, PA 15601 Veterinarian Darli Walker 1090 points 5 minutes ago1st off, I have a 4 year old German Shepherd... If I could use 0 stars I would. This is a horrible place to take your pet. I initially took her in at the beginning of the year for a hot spot. The medication they gave her initiated an eye infection too, which cleared up on its own. Soon after she developed a horrible ear infection. The vet had her on the same medication for a few months with absolute no results. 3 times I recieved the same medicine. The vet finally said it could be her diet and recommended a very expensive dog food. (I home cook my dogs food with chicken, rice and vegetables. It's fresh and healthy for her. There is nothing wrong with her diet.). I finally went to another vet, they gave her medicine in the ear and it cleared the infection up within a week. I haven't had any issues with her ears since. Banfield pushes the wellness program insurance to help "save you money" . As part of that program, they include flea and tick treatment which is Semparica Trio. They kept telling me how great it is and how their pets love it. Just a simple treat once a month. That medication is causing my dog to have seizures now. She had another one last night. When I called Banfield this morning to get copies of her records, I mentioned about last night's seizure and they never asked how she was, do I need to schedule an appointment or anything!!! They don't care about your pet!!! I would not recommend them to anyone that loves their pet.

I made an appointment online for a stray cat that I had caught in a live trap over a week ago. I…read morejust wanted to get a general exam for his health for obvious reasons. When I first caught him I took him to a different vet to check if he had a chip or not. He did. They tried calling the owners but no one answered no matter how many times they called. The previous owners also declawed him. So, the vet told me he would be better in my care. Flash forward to today, my boyfriend and I came into Banfield for the checkup. Upon arrival there were a lot of workers who had an attitude. They seemed very annoyed for some reason. They took our cat and didn't let us come back to be with him until the very end. This took over an hour. During the whole thing, they had a "middle man" to go back and forth and tell us what the vet was doing? It was very odd and I've never seen that with any vet establishment. The vet seemed to only care about selling their products as if they were a salesperson. They weren't telling us much in regards to the health of our cat. I had to basically pry it out of the vet to tell us whether or not our cat is in good health. The vets here are truly salespeople first and vets second. The prices are unfair. They charged $5 for "throwing my cat's poop away." What even is this charge?? The vet was almost fighting us with the whole previous owners situation and not being able to contact them. She was acting like she wanted to take the cat away from us and wouldn't listen to what we were saying. Very disrespectful. I will not be coming back and I genuinely recommend that any of you who are thinking about bringing your cats to this establishment should avoid it at all costs. It is NOT worth it and certainly NOT worth the price. Also, the vet said my cat - who was a stray that has been outside for god knows how long - is border line overweight which makes no sense because I can literally feel that he is underweight. His bones are sticking out and she thinks he's overweight.... Unbelievable.
