I have been at Linguava for just a short time but I have been in the language services field for close to a decade as both an interpreter and translator. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Linguava. Their new hire orientation is one of the best I have ever attended, even in comparison to orientations on the hospital level and I always feel well cared for by all of the staff from scheduling to management. They are very responsive to calls and e-mails and are always investigating new ways to improve everyone's experience with them e.g. an enhanced website, appointment offerings via text, reminder e-mails, etc. I also wholeheartedly believe that they are invested in people and appreciate them as an invaluable resource. This is reflected in their policies and procedures along with their payment practices. They are also extremely committed to doing more to provide quality interpretation to all including indigenous language speakers. I would highly recommend Linguava to other interpreters/translators and of course, to any business in need of language services. As a language services professional, I can't and won't work with those who are unprofessional. I schedule interpreters for patients at my Clinic and work with a few different Translator Companys, but I would say Linguava is by far the BEST I've ever worked with. Every time I speak with anyone from their company, whether it's to schedule, or an interpreter directly, I have had nothing but the best experiences with them. Martinez's July 12, 2016 I have worked as an interpreter for Linguava from the very beginning it started on Broadway & NE 22nd Ave in 2011 or so, and what I like about it is the close knit family like relationship within the entire agency. I've worked for several other agencies in where I've had regrettable experiences such as getting a paycheck up to 3 months late, shorted for my hours, clients who request & always want me to interpret for them and yet on several occasions, the job was filled & assigned to someone else and the client would call me to let me know. With Linguava, I was once directed to the wrong branch location and was running late (to go through 10 miles city traffic) to get there on time...not a problem--I was on the clock from the initial assigned time & covered for my extra traveling mileage. I am an independent contract with Linguava and provide interpretation services in Spanish/English. The scheduling staff is particularly patient and understanding of my schedule. Each encounter with the scheduling staff is friendly and caring. In terms of work perks, interpreters are paid for the full time even if the client cancels within 24 hours. I have talked to other interpreters who work in other agencies and this policy is not always in place. Linguava has a new scheduling portal and it is a great way to look at the week's schedule.
