She followed me around the store, constantly pressuring me to make a purchase and even tried to rush me to the checkout. She repeatedly misled me about a VIP promotion, claiming I'd get a coupon I could use right away. When I asked if it applied to the lipsticks I was interested in, she said yes -- but conveniently failed to mention it was only valid on a $150 minimum purchase and limited to certain brands. After I spent time carefully picking out items, the cashier informed me the coupon couldn't even be used on most of them. It felt like the whole thing was just a tactic to boost her commission before the end of her shift. I honestly don't understand how a major store would hire someone like that -- dishonest, aggressive, and clearly not focused on customer experience.

So what puts the 'Supreme' in this Sasa outpost? According to their website, it's a concept store providing a comprehensive cosmetics selection in addition to beauty and styling services. What I noticed: an open layout, tons of space to roam without bumping elbows with anyone, so many more products than the regular Sasa stores, and better product availability within certain cosmetic lines. I didn't end up going home with any cosmetics (I tend to prefer department store lines), but I did find my beloved Nuxe line and at a very competitive price offering. I took home a large shower gel and a shampoo for about $225 HKD - not bad for this French line that smells sensual yet fresh (in a 'warm' kind of way) at the same time. I also have the perfume (purchased in Paris) and so many strangers stop me to inquire about my fragrance. It's a good one! I'll definitely be back when it's time to get my hands on more Nuxe goodies.

I was actually at the Prada outlet in Ap Lei Chau, when I saw the sign at the check out counter indicating that there was a new store that had opened in Kwai Hing in 2017. The staff at Ap Lei Chau also indicated that it was much larger compared to their store. So my husband and I took the MTR out to Kwai Hing and then walked the 10 minutes or so to the Prada outlet store, located inside the Florentia Village outlet center (also new in 2017). It is not hard to find, although you will feel like Kwai Hing is in the middle of nowhere a bit. The Prada store has a lot of inventory. Really more clothes and shoes (both men's and women's) than really leather goods and handbags, although there is a big selection of those items too. The selection of women's clothes is extensive. With that being said, the discount level can vary based on what you are looking at. Most items are discounted on the low end at 20% and at 80% on the high end. The bigger discount items are located in the spots with the sign "special price." In those sections, the discount can be anywhere between 50-80% and maybe limited in sizes or "last one." But be sure to check prices on items not in those designated spots as well, because it is almost like a Crazy 8 ball, you really don't know the discount until you flip shoes over and pull tags behind collars. My husband walked out with a pair of pants, normally $3000HKD for $1500 and I bagged a pair of shoes normally $4300HKD for $750 (last pair, my size...score!) There is a lot of staff there to help with sizes and pull stuff from the high shelves. There is also a selection of items by Miu Miu as well. There is also a significant men's section, which my husband was happy to see. So a great Prada outlet and worthy of a visit if you are a devout follower like me to the brand.

From high-end brands like Burberry to Nike, along with many local and international stores offering big discounts. As a visitor and first-timer, the mall was a little confusing to navigate at first, but it's very convenient since it's directly connected to the Tung Chung station. There are also restaurants and additional shops outside of the mall area, which gives the area a lively atmosphere. Both the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong and The Silveri Hong Kong hotels are attached, making it super convenient for travelers. One thing about Hong Kong, there are lots of shopping malls. This one I wasn't too impressed with.

I ordered the Tofu and mushroom salad, Thai Chicken skewers, Thai Wings and a strawberry and guava smoothie. The food had amazing flavor and was delicious. Of the dishes the Tofu salad was the best. The Tofu was seasoned and cooked perfectly as were the mushrooms. The portions were large enough and priced accordingly. It's definitely a place I'd recommend when visiting Hong Kong if you're looking to kill a little time before your flight.

So obviously, I'm super excited to see this concept taking shape in Hong Kong. Several years ago, Luke Grana discovered high-quality Peruvian pima cotton whilst visiting his brother. Since then, he and co-founder Pieter-Paul Wittgen have set up shop in Hong Kong where they've grown from a small warehouse set-up to selling their line of refined basics in 14 countries. The well-organized and uncluttered shop allows you to see all of their products in person - they offer wonderfully-cut t-shirts, camisoles, dresses, jeans, jeans, silk tops and more in a mostly muted neutral palette with a few pops of color. Some of the ace fabrics they've sourced include Chinese silk, French poplin, Irish linen, Japanese chambray and denim, and Mongolian Cashmere in addition to the Peruvian pima cotton. The best part? All of the items are affordable, especially when considering the high quality. My only gripe is that a lot off the sizes seem to be sold out online, especially the jeans. There's a pair of slim boyfriend jeans I hope to get my hands on!

I bought a handbag with matching cheongsam dress, a silk dress, a bangle, a wallet, a mobile case and am really considering getting more of their charming products before I leave. I also did some Christmas present shopping there and dragged visiting friends in there. The prices might be a bit shocking and still it is a beautiful and unique Hong Kong design. Some stores offer tailoring services as well. Maybe want to get a tailored cheongsam (qipao)? Check it out.

Shopping in Hong Kong…read more.. I've seen this store - Aeon - in Japan. Irene and I went in to look... and to find a restroom. It was odd how the upper floor kind of merged each department into the next. Snacks seemed to be at the entrance with cosmetics in the middle and Daiso at the back. We asked several clerks about a restroom and they seemed to not understand or know how to answer. Since we were there, I got a couple of rice molds in the shape of a bunny and a bear. I also found an air freshener that my mom might like. I went to the cashier to check out and again asked for the restroom... there are none here. At least I was able to use my credit card!

After browsing at the Ladies's Market on Tung Choi Street as we exit and turn the corner I was so happy to see Aeon which is a huge grocery store in Japan and after a long shopping trip we really needed to find a restroom and though that this would've been the place. First of all we asked and asked...no restroom whatsoever sadly but as we browsed around the familiar Japanese bentos they were selling felt nostalgia but we were focused on finding a restroom until we stumbled upon a Daiso lol! More bargain shopping that we both couldn't refuse though this location was very small and just had a little nook in the store which I didn't find much sadly but really decided to look what the grocery store had to offer which was quite a bit with some cosmetics, snacks, and some fun and unique Coca Cola products the staff was trying to sell me. Looks like a very popular shopping spot as it was pretty crowded but we needed to find a restroom and didn't stay very long. Thank you!
