We booked this venue because of the outside beauty and the owner telling us how smooth other…read moreweddings have gone. We completely regret booking with her. When we booked we were told we had to book her security guard at $25 an hour for the length of the reception if we had alcohol and that we could self serve if we only had wine and beer as long as we had someone with liquor license there it was fine. Right after we signed the contract the first security guard quit and she had to hire a new one and he was more expensive at $35 an hour and had to be there for the ceremony too which we thought was weird but went with it. Also when we booked she said she had a $600 security deposit formality that was required and most brides just wrote her a check and then she handed it back at the end of the night. Also something we were fine with. At the rehearsal she went to my husband's parents and a bridesmaid and the best person asking about money and when we were paying this deposit. She never once went to me and my husband while we were there and she knew we were paying for the venue not our families. One of the groomsmen made a bad joke about weed (we live in Oklahoma where it's legal but he wasn't going to bring any because it isn't in Texas he was joking about showing up stoned) and she freaked out and said that we had to make sure that we had $600 when we got there and she would be keeping it to check her venue for damage and then refunding it and we needed a bartender because self serve was no longer ok. We told her we could cancel the alcohol because we couldn't find a bartender on 12 hours notice. When we got to the venue she said she got us a bartender as a gift to us but the bartender told my husband that she is booked last minute like this all the time. The security guard we had to hire played on his phone most of the night until a bridesmaid pointed it out to the owner that since we are paying him he should do his job. When my husband tried to make conversation with him about where he's licensed and what he does when he's not working weddings he wouldn't answer. So I'm not sure if he is licensed. We used a small speaker she provided for the reception and I was later told she kept coming by and turning it down. The reception was indoors, we didn't have it very loud to start with, and she was out in the country so no noise ordinance applied and the reception was over at 9:30pm

Hi y'all, Well let me start with Happy New Years 2026…read more We reserved cabin 89 for Dec31st thru Jan 4th 2026 for our New Years get together w family. The day before we get a call from Chris Hall aka Manager ,saying that it was doubled booked and we would have to get the managers quarters cabin that he says was bigger . 1. This cabin 89 was what my husband was doing for me as a christmas present n when I found out I cried cuz I really wanted cabin 89 tht over looks texoma . So what can you do when he says his employees double booked . So we had already bought all the things needed for this trip so we took the MANAGERS QUARTERS even though we didn't reserve it . #2,once in the managers quarters We had to clean it cuz it was not done properly. Dirt on the floors and table or coffee table or where tv table was ,was not cleaned . Some cleaners they got . Like someone moved there stuff out quickly and moved hmm. #3- I got up one morning and like I love to do is walk to look at Lake texoma w the sun coming up, low n behold out of cabin 89 comes the Manager Chris Hall . Thought you said it was doubled booked wow, is this how you are for real . Lie to customers and then blame your employees for the screw up . And on top of that we asked the brunette young girl about the reservation and she lied as well with saying it was booked a year in advance which online YOU CAN NOT DO THAT . So she belittled herself in lying for the Manager . I get it she has to worry about her job but also you just degraded yourself, you could of gotten with his boss and explained that he was in the wrong for having you lie to paying customers. Then while I was in managers quarters cabin I was sitting on the couch and apparently a man came in talking about manager selling his trailer n they both got loud, let me remind you I got to hear lots of conversations throughout my stay which was bs cuz I DNT WANNA HEAR THAT CRAP ON MY TRIP! The guy asked for his bosses name and he refused to give that . I wonder how the Better Business Bureau (BBB) would like to know about all this stuff. Anyways after all this we had a issue with all the lies that were done which made it hard to enjoy but we made the best of it but will not ever rent from Little Mineral again . Our Family has been there for 50+years and still there and for this so called manager to do as he did shows how little knowledge in customer service he has and the employee (brunette young lady) has . So if you plan on renting or reserving TRUST NOTHING IN WHAT EITHER SAY . ONCE A LIAR ALWAYS A LIAR . We got the managers quarters 2 nights free and 4 days for over 800 bucks . Again we had the reservations for cabin 89 who the manger n his spouse and 2 dogs were in and couldn't be a man about a dam thing and doubled booked my butt . Unexceptable. Thanks for ruining my Christmas Present from my husband . If there was 0 stars that is what y'all would get . Period .
