I was looking for legal advice and review of a legal document. I reached out to multiple law firm…read morecompanies on Yelp. Very thankful that I received a quick response from Brian. He gave me a call and was able to assist me same day with my review. I found it easy to talk to Brian. He was very thorough with his response, professional and easy to understand. Brian provided great legal advice. I am keeping his contact information in case I need legal advice in the future. I am excited to have an attorney that I trust and can easily reach out to. If your looking for an attorney reach out to Brian!

This review is simply a follow up opinion regarding me and my wife's experiences with Brian…read moreAnderson and his law firm. Our initial negative review regarded Brian emailing us our fee agreement (to represent us) in which his retainer fee increased 500%. (from $500 to $3000) When he sent the fee agreement he did not volunteer an explanation regarding the substantial increase in fees. I replied and kindly asked him to please explain the increase in fees as well as to express my desire to still hire him after the fee discrepancy had been reconciled. His response to that email also did not provide any explanation for the fee increase. He replied instead that he, due to taking on "some rather large clients," no longer had "the time to devote to your matter." Subsequently my wife posted our initial negative Google review commenting on the fee increase. Brian then threatened us with a demand letter via email threatening a $75k lawsuit if we didn't remove the review within 24 hrs. Upon updating our review with information clearly stating his threats he sent a following amended demand letter via email increasing the suit to $150k. In the amended demand letter email he suggested that we "retain counsel to defend yourselves." We have done exactly that.

I was charged fees to file and associated charges to put together the documentation. I'm not looking at the immediate timeline on it, but about over a month or two later I was surprised at my door, at night by a large male process server, an alarming situation for a single woman. I finally heard back from the paralegal and complained they might have warned me as my ex filed at least a month ago AND there was no record of my lawyer having filed as my representation. The paralegal admitted she dropped the ball. When I challenged their billing, they subsequently admitted they significantly overcharged me. As for my case, I sent them a detailed outline of my situation, but each time they seem to be unaware of key details of my case. I was told by someone on staff that several lawyers quit without making arrangements for clients or making anyone aware and "everyone was overworked and had too much on their plate." They did not seem to want to advocate for me and pushed me to accept deals that were not even approaching equitable. When we were finally done, the offices sent me a proof of a decree that included none of what was agreed. Additionally, there were several glaring errors that could have had significant long term consequences had i not caught them. Today was a major deadline and I have not heard from my lawyer despite 3 emails to their office. Additionally, prior to these issues I recommended this office to several other people who have all come back to me to let me know about unprofessional behavior, lack of communication, and unclear billing.
