As an adult I found the selection of animals to be pretty nice. You can go inside the bird aviary and one of the monkey pens so you can get up close. I thought that the giraffes and hippos were beautiful. Lots of flamingos and other birds to see as well. there were many educational Displays throughout the zoo to teach the children and adults more about sustainability and the natural habitats where the animals came from. I understand that they have a breeding program. there is also a nice display with dinosaurs including a merry go round and play area with the jurassic Park theme.

However, the upgrade in spectacular animal enclosures is remarkable. An enormous variety in animals in great settings with different viewpoints at different levels. Mind you, it isn't the parks fault that I was misled, namely because I didn't do any research to actually find out what was actually here, but simply accepted the name blindly, and proceeded to tell my brother that we were going to visit the zoo. As a park it is nice, and it does have some animals running around - not just dogs, but also birds, and a rather large lake. However, don't be fooled by the name like I was - it's just a park to relax in (when it isn't raining).

Small cages, and the larger birds like Hawks and Eagles are chained to the ground. Those are just to name a couple. They have lots of ducks and birds. They have events at different times, like animal feedings, bird shows, etc. Our favorite was the baboon feedings. Those are some silly mfs. There was what i can only describe as a mentally undeveloped lunatic baboon who was having some pretty intense schenanihags that stirred up some trouble which was very intriguing to watch. All the animals were super fun and we would love to come back. Big tourist destination but it's so large it's definitely not overcrowded. no issues with people whatsoever, even at animal shows and feedings.
