We've recently begun doing all of our fruit & veg shopping here. It's a little bit further to drive…read morethan we normally would but the variety here is well worth it. Conveniently located right next to an entrance to the new section of Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, the Market spills out from inside of the store with barrels of all sorts of wonderful oddities. There's stuff I've never heard of before here, let alone ever seen. There is a lot of Asian fruit & veg varieties, but plenty of other stuff too. I couldn't find okra anywhere else around home the other day, so I headed straight here and right at the entrance stood a huge pile of it. There are probably close to a dozen kinds of potato here, they've got herbs, chillies bigger than I even knew existed and pretty much anything else you could want. We've only ever not been able to find one thing here that we needed! There is a small grocery section at the back of the store that I've yet to fully explore but it looks like it has a nice variety of sauces and assorted goodies. Littered around the store you'll also find nuts, dried fruits and spices that seem reasonably priced, as does the whole store in general. Actually paying for your purchases can be a bit nuts here sometimes. There are ten or so registers at the front of the store, but the layout of them means that there are only three lines to get to them and they sprawl out amongst the aisles of the store when it's busy (which it seems to be all the time). As the store is fairly new the cashiers don't always know the prices of everything, but with them all working so closely together they usually find out quicksmart. With a few good little cafes & restaurants located in the same area, as well as a huge butchers, fish shop, bakeries and on certain days, a little indoor Farmer's Market and much more, this is a great place to head to pick up your groceries.

See and appreciate for yourself. There is (every Saturday) this budding cook cooking delicious sausages for you to smell, taste and appreciate: like a mini appetiser/snack: there is no limit to the number of little sausage pieces you can try. This staff member (the same guy every weekend) is always so cheerful and friendly. It gets interesting once you come inside. You would almost feel guilty if you walked away depending on how many sausages you have tried. Their cooked gourmet sausages is a great hook to come inside. Truly divine. More like a deli instead of a butchery of gourmet meats. The staff are so energetic (full of protein literally) and I always (without fail) order two parmas that just need to be whacked into the microwave for a few minutes, and they are just a meal in itself for me on those respective two nights a week I am not in the mood to cook. Great value for gourmet meat. My Amex doesn't always think so.

The staff here are very nice and the owner Darren has served me many times. The meats are quite varied compared to the selection in the supermarket and the prices are also a bit cheaper. And now they've supposedly got this rep of being the best in town, everyone wants to be a fuckin' gourmet and bring their fancy arsed Jonathan's sausages to my barbecues. That shit gets up my nose and now I won't shop there out of principle. What I want in a sausage is great flavour, without too much gristle, and value for money. These dudes tick two of those boxes, and for my money that just ain't good enough. When did sausages become a luxury item? I'm not sure, but I reckon these folk played a part in it.
