This was my second visit to the museum, although it had been years since I visited. There is handicapped parking, with a level path to the door. I am partially disabled. Part of the museum is in an old stone home, so there is one short step up into some of the rooms. The staff is friendly & informative. The exhibits are great for someone new to the Lincoln Highway in Pennsylvania, or someone like myself who has seen many of the sights. There is at least one chair in each of the rooms, which was great for me. The gift shop is not large, but has several styles of T-shirts, a small collection of books, & a souvenir for everyone. It is worthwhile getting off of the turnpike to see. The exhibits are educational, information, & for some, reminiscent.

A lovely museum that takes you on an audio tour describing the history and highlights of the Lincoln Highway. Shed new light on the stretch of road I spent my life riding upon to visit grandparents and now my own parents. Perhaps the added nostalgia enhanced my visit- but worth it - especially to instill the importance of the value of history in my kids.

Passage of summer. I love this concept and the on-going support and attention the Supper Market event receives. So relaxing and enjoyable. It's held on Wednesdays 5-8 starting in June through August. Local chefs and businesses have prepared foods and desserts ready for purchase. It's an opportunity to picnic outdoors and visit with friends and others in attendance. So BYOB, a comfy chair, and the allotted time for some fun and relaxation as you listen to the live entertainment. They collect $ 3.00 per car to help offset the costs and continued funds needed to support the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor.

This is now at Westmoreland Mall and we visited it on a Friday night. After reserving a spot and…read moreplacing a $50 deposit online, we arrived anxious to see how well we would do. A group of 6 of us, all women over 50, were out for a birthday evening of fun. When we arrived, there was no one behind the counter but several people were already throwing axes. (We were about 10 minutes late because of our previous dinner and drinks). We stood there for a few minutes waiting to be greeted and I finally asked in a loud voice "does anyone work here?" A young man turned around from awe throwing and said "yes I do". So then we started the check in process of paying our remaining balance and signing the all important waivers. Once that was done he gave us a simple tutorial on how to throw. I had no luck in getting my axe to stick so he suggested I try two handed. That made a world of difference and I was consistently hitting near the bulls eye or on it from there. Everyone in our group did well and we did have a very Funtime. The young man named Todd was very nice and patient with us and by the end of the evening let us throw the "big axe"! Although we started out a little slow, it all turned out well and we all said we'd do this again. If you're looking for something different to do, I'd highly recommend this, especially for a rainy day when you can't do outside activities.
