Horrible customer service. Holding my money - not theirs for weeks after a distribution request. They do not care!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT USE LINCOLN FINANCIAL! Trying to close my account has been a frustrating process with nobody returning calls or sending the correct forms. Their mistakes cost me a lot of money. I've been waiting for my money for weeks. When I called to check the status, I couldn't understand a word she was saying. Finally, she said they gave me the wrong form and I have to start over. Nobody contacted me to tell me that!! Their error cost me thousands as the market has gone down significantly. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they'll call me. Still waiting. Do NOT invest your hard earned money with this joke of a company unless you want nothing but problems! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would! Primerica Insurance Company shares some of the negativity I feel. I was sold a LFN Fixed Annuity as well as a Primerica Life Insurance policy back in 2013. I cancellef the life insurance policy in 2022 relatively easily. My problem was in surrendering the annuity this year. Primerica agents were not responsive and provided no assistance in the process and gave me the wrong number to contact Lincoln Financial Directly. It took me 2 days of being on terminal hold, being hung up on, spoken to with such thick accents as to be not understandable to finally reach 2 agents that eventually got me to t h e correct team. I was emailed a form to complete and submit. The form was confusing and did not explain fully what information was needed. Primerica agent would not assist with the submission, even though the first question asked by LFG is to determine if the caller is the agent or the client. I submitted the form. Crickets!!!! When I finally reached the Annuity team to try and figure out why no response or contact was made, was told they mailed a letter that I should receive in 10 days. Multiple calls and stop payments on missing checks with 10 business days in between each, I finally got my money today. I has only taken 2 months and 2 bottles of aspirin!! Worst customer service ever Agent Carlynn was very condescending and actually raised her voice right after I told her I was 70. basically refused to answerer some questions and when I stated i would love to fill out call review she giggled and stated we don't have one WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS HERE BUT HAVE NO CHOICE has been a hassle to get my wife annuity payments since she died 3 years ago not to mention trying to get the W2 forms each year AFTER supposedly changing mailing address each year read more

apparantly i have a type of annuity that i cannot look at online. i called to request a, proof of payment, schedule of payment, and history of payments, document, as i needed said document to verify proof of payment in order to determine eligibility for help with my medical bills. Their agent let me know that my type of policy could not be accessed online. when i asked why, they stated that they did not know and that it would take 3 to 5 business days to receive it by email and 7 to 10 days to receive it by mail, and then after getting me all frustrated. i get the needed document within 10 minutes. i tried every which way, (including asking the agent, to which they replied that they did know of a way), to file either a complaint or a suggestion, to let this company know that this is an unnecessary inconveniece for their clients in this age of technical and digital convenience. this is absurd in my opinion. see all other reviews, i don't think there is one positive review for this company. read more

Horrific experience dealing with this company. Avoid at all costs. Unbelievably terrible customer service. They had no problem taking my money, but they are completely unable to send me the withdrawals I requested. If at all possible, move any money you have with these people to, well, just about any other company would have to be a better place to put it. Horrible customer service. As executor of my mother's estate I have been given nothing but the runaround for six months now. I have sent in all requested paperwork and still up against walls with the representatives from this company. It's not even that much money. They appear to putting up road blocks and making things difficult so that people will give up and they can keep the money that is NOT theirs. read more

This organization has been impossible to deal with. I have not been able to get into my personal annuity account for over 20 years. I recently had a representative tell me exactly what to do over the phone to get into my account. She stayed with me, and I did everything she told me to do. She called me today and said that I now can get into my account which of course did not work. I called another representative and related my problem to him. He said he would research the problem and get back to me in one hour - never happened. I would not recommend dealing with this company. read more

I am the executor of my mother's estate. She was over paid on a policy after her passing. I paid the outstanding amount. After all the letters and emails they sent requesting their money. They never sent a receipt to show it was paid. 30 days after mailing the payment I called spoke to "Venessa". 1-800-348-4608 The payment was received approx. 25 days ago. She will email me a receipt. Now, the problem is employee "Rebecca McAffe" who I had been corresponding with many times. She will not respond to my emails asking for a receipt. Rude, unprofessional and unacceptable. Lincoln Financial is an unethical company. They make extremely difficult to withdraw your money. According to the letter I received from them, they will be putting me money into a custodial account. Which, of course, I will never see. This is after I was unable to create an account on their website. I called customer service and gave them my SSN, DOB and my address. Oh, but no, that wasn't good enough. The customer service person gave a long song and dance about how I was going to have to go through an authentication process etc. etc. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! This has been a nightmare purchasing an annuity for my wife and me. Many surprises have been experienced such as the fact that it is not possible to perform a 1035exchange, therefore a huge hit to transfer funds, no voice in investment options, cannot change the "I for life" rider monthly amount.... Since this was a Primerica exclusive product offered by Lincoln, they drug there feet for months before telling me that I could not even change brokers. The performance for the past 5 years has been well below par at a lose; yet costing us thousands in taxes, and high fees- in other words there has been a loss of asset and 5 years of potentially a much better product producing a fair return. I have since pulled all other accounts away from Primerica. If anyone knows of a class action I could look into; please advise!! Hopefully, this will save others from these CROOKS! Only employees and visitors can enjoy lunch in the LFG cafeteria, but wow what a selection! So many diverse options were available and updated daily. I never felt the need to go offsite while I was working there. If you get the chance, don't rush out to lunch. Stay onsite and struggle with making a decision about which great thing to enjoy. read more

My husband had a 401k with Lincoln through his employer. Last year they closed and he was laid off. He had a loan on his 401k and he spoke with Lincoln about paying it off. He paid it off with funds from his 401k and he asked them to take out the Federal and State taxes as well so we would not get have to pay at the end of the year. The person he spoke with said they would take care of this request. However, they did not take out for the taxes and when he called Lincoln and told them about this he was told that yes, they do have a note in their file to take out the taxes but gee, sorry, we didn't. We ended up having to pay $4,000 for their mistake. We wrote them a letter and in their response they said that they reviewed all the recordings and notes from my husband's file and they saw nothing re: taking out Federal and State taxes. So, when you're dealing with Lincoln over the phone, make sure you record the conversation(s) so you don't get screwed over like we did. read more
