She said I would need to go to the Family Relations office, and they could help. The line wasn't long at all, and the woman behind the counter told me where to find some legal sounding case number. I walked around the corner, found the book, and sure enough; there it was, from 1976. I gave them the number, and within 10 minutes a copy of the document was printed, and delivered. I was completely impressed by how fast, accurate, and caring the staff was. You hear bad things about public employees, but I assure you, these women are on top of their game!

i'd been scheduled to appear in court monthly for the last six months, and yesterday was the last…read moreappearance for the alternative court program for which i'd been scheduled. the proceeding was timely and efficient, with specific thanks due to ms. weather, the court-appointed case manager for the program, and the ruling judge, judge horton, who while not having as direct an influence on the journey in the program as ms. weather, was straightforward today in communicating the terms of graduation, including owning no payment to the court and obtaining one more document from the court for background check case expungement. further, i'll be remiss if i did not thank the counseling group that petitioned for the admittance to alternative misdemeanor court, two goats solutions, especially point attorney mrs. pansy and representative ms cheyenne. while the term transformation that appears on the graduation certificate i received today seems a bit exaggerated, i've definitely been given a prime opportunity from participation in the program, and i'm confident the growth i have experienced in the six months has been more enjoyable, and subjectively more beneficial than the alternative of prison time.

So after sitting all day I went to leave and they said they don't validate parking. So I had to go pay at the office first. I went to the office and they only have machines that accept cash. So I had to use the ATM and there is a fee of $3 to use it. So my $9 parking ended up costing $12. I asked the worker why parking isn't validated and she said they give the $20 for jury duty with $10 being for parking and $10 for lunch. I'm sorry, but they don't give the money to us each day, So beware that if you have to do jury duty, make sure you have cash to pay for everything that should be included, since this wasn't my choice to do. If I'm being made to do something that takes up my entire day, please pay me appropriately for it or at the minimum pay for my parking.

Friendly staff 4. All walks of life attend 5. Suit clad lawyers. Hey, they have to make a living some how 6. People in jail = not really a high point. Some people need help and don't know where to go or who to turn to 7. It's almost like going to a DMV, but you're embarrassed to admit you had to go. I'm not a rebel. Honestly, I despise going to court, but sometimes you mess up and well... You have to see the judge. I wanted to fight my speeding ticket, but chickened out. However the male officer doing the security screening, wanted to know where I was going (don't think it was his business to ask the public walking into a public building). He was not friendly at all, please replace him with someone not jaded. I told him 3rd floor and he Mansplained ... the second floor is the first floor, because there's a lower level (1st floor if you asked me). What the heck, I can count floors, I understand how they work. He had me all turned around, what a nit wit. I'll ask if I need help, which I didn't. Judge Jack McCurdy, Judge Hatfield, Judge Hesse and now Judge Gass. What I like about Canadian County is that they will meet with the lawyers in chambers, but if necessary tell the parties, from the bench what and why they made the decision they did. All around nice people that make fair decisions.
