Initially I was a bit wary at the prospect of even starting therapy, but when I finally decided to take the plunge I was treated with a prompt and informative email; from the very beginning, she was responsive and attentive to my needs. She recommended an over the phone consult and paired it with a questionnaire for me to fill out in order to get a sense of who I was/am as a person. Those two small gestures allowed me to feel comfortable, and gave me a solid sense of who I was going to be spending 1:1 time with for my sessions. Since the first interactions going forward it has been a rewarding experience. I've gained definitely gained perspective and insights from my time spent with her- she's challenged me, provided me with out of session tasks, recommended supplemental readings, as well as offering ideas of personal projects to further my insights into what I want and how that's possible. She has been non-judgmental, is a great listener, provides great counsel and is incredibly kind. Would recommend her to anyone willing to better themselves!

I was disconnected all three times. The one time I actually talked to a person they asked if I was with a group other than Lakeside. I told her I was with Lakeside and that I had a referral number. They just continued to ask if I was with the other health group. Then I was put on hold. I called my doctor's office and asked for a referral to another gastroenterologist. I then called my insurance company and made a complaint. I tried calling Lakeside Member Services to complain. I was put in line and then given a customer satisfaction survey to fill out. I chose the lowest rating for everything. Then I was disconnected. Do not use this medical center. They do not deserve your business. Edit: I am on hold with customer service right now. It's like pulling teeth. I have Hypertension. Do not use this facility. Final Edit: I do not know if they recorded my complaint. Do better Lakeside.

Thanks guys. Classy move. Edit: They have since sent a text saying they were canceling the appointment and not even offering the option to instead inquire about a cash option. These people do not care about you or your mental health. You're just numbers to be moved through their system.

Our oldest hit the teenage years at a speed that we weren't prepared for. After speaking with…read moreparents; reading articles and books; and personal experience, there was so much of the behavior that was "normal" (not to be confused with Good). My concern was in finding ways to minimize the amount of resentment we were building as parents, and finding ways to better communicate and bond, during this VERY TOUGH development time (Lord help us all). I found Teen Therapy Center and reached out. Kent called me and spent an amount of time on the phone with us that I felt exceeded how much time any healthcare professional had spent with us in the past. Fast forward a few months of weekly visits, and although we are far from the MAGIC cure of teenage attitude challenges, I feel confident that all of us are on the same track as far as bonding and building a healthy relationship. As issues come up, we reach out to Kent. I hesitate to text him because (1) I've never been able to reach out to a provider that way (2) I'm afraid he'll find us a burden and fire us. I'm grateful that he takes the time to reach back out to me. The process is not inexpensive, by any means; however, for us, the lifetime damage that we can cause ourselves as a family, far outweighs the financial aspect of this therapy. In Kent's (and the Center's) defense, I will say that he is active in the community, offering free blogs, webinars, events, to serve the community. He is active in trying to find ways to provide more cost affordable services. It is unfair to accuse Kent and his team of being more concerned about money, than of our children's well-being. That is absolutely not true.
