Food is greasy and no healthy options available, nor much for vegetarian either. Usually the queue is ok... It may take 10-15min to get your food after you order. Taste varies widely depending on what you order. Feta salad is a no no, while beef kebab seems ok. If you are around, I would suggest other places. Some food trucks are total winners! In summary: When it comes to kebab... This is not my place. :(

Needless to say, I am here at Kebab King once at least once a week :) Their megakebab with chicken is my favorite. The chicken is without fail is tender and the bread is always fresh and tasty. The portion will fill you up for the day! I especially love the fact here in Poland they pack the kebab with plenty of fresh cabbage salad so I don't feel like I am eating fast food but a nutritious meal. Okay, maybe that factor is negated with the sauce (I think it is mayo based) that they drown the kebab in but I prefer to live in denial. My only whine about this place is that the service could be quicker.

I wish i took a photo of it before they've taken it away. I told the waitress that it was burnt and she said it wasn't. And i knew it was but i tried it anyway to make sure. And it tasted burnt. It also had way too much syrup on it. Anyway, i told her it was burnt and she asked me if i was arabic and that she'd let an arab speak to me. An arab man came and i told him what happened and he denied that the kunefe was burnt! I mean, are you for real! Not only that it looked sooo black and burnt. It tasted disgusting! I don't think i'm coming here ever again!

This is exactly the situation at Shipudei Berek, a modern Israeli restaurant run by a passionate chef who wanted to bring a piece of Tel Aviv to Warsaw! I just can't emphasize how great this restaurant is--from the trendy modern decor, the friendly service, the videos of life & food in Israel playing in the background, and yes, the delicious food, Shipudei Berek is just bomb! The thing I loved the most was the mezze spread--10 different dishes of freshly prepared appetizers that come with every skewer entree: cabbage, tzatziki, red sumac onions, spicy carrots, shredded carrots, beets, grated tomato, tahini, hummus with chili, and pickled cucumbers & chilies! Every mezze dish was so fresh and seasoned so perfectly--if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the dreamy, creamy hummus, which just goes perfectly with the pita bread that comes on the side! On top of the mezze, we also got an order of the octopus shipud, which were four pieces of octopus marinated and grilled on skewers! This was delicious as well, though I'd probably suggest getting another protein, since the octopus came out a bit burnt using this preparation. I also got a freshly squeezed pomegranate juice, which had some of the whole arils floating on top! Delicious! Come, come, come to Shipudei Berek, and if I haven't given you enough reasons, here's one more: the prices are an absolute steal for the quality of food and the overall experience! At one point, our waitress noticed that our skewers were taking a while to arrive, so she asked us if we wanted extra mezze and refilled our requested plates for free!
