Truthfully, I am not the biggest kebab fan. I wish there was a decent gyro place around Warsaw. However, that being said, I really do like Efes.
I have had their kebab and it was delightful. Truly the best one I've had in Warsaw. Also, I have had a meal which was not wrapped up in a sandwich and it was also very good. Sadly I cannot recall what it was -- but it was listed as a kebab, so I was kind of shocked when it didn't come in a wrapped sandwich form.
The first time I went, I arrived at closing time and they gave us the left overs for our sandwich. Even for it being the left over meat, I would say it was the best kebab in Warsaw. We dined in (which looking back, that was not super nice of us) and the atmosphere was cozy -- almost like a traditional Slavic grandmothers home.
The second I went in the afternoon, the meat was fresher and was still very good. I took it home. The portion was large enough to share -- but I made two meals out of it!!
They speak a little English so that is helpful. They do have menus in English as well. So point and say big/small and they will understand.
The location is a little out of the way for my liking, but it is still accessible through the bus lines. read more
