They have been so helpful and honest with all of the problems that we had with our '91 Honda Accord. They have always been able to figure out the root cause of the problem, and fix it quickly and cheaply. They do tend to forget to call you back once they are done with the repair so it is good to call and check in on the repair status. When another mechanic said that a repair would be at least $700 to fix the lock on the drivers side door, and that they would need to get a whole new door that would not match our car. Harrelson's was able to fix everything for around $300, while keeping our existing door. At another point my wife and I broke down in Kansas City due to a clutch problem and the repair shop there did over $350 trying to fix the problem (replace the clutch master cylinder and slave). All of this work ended up not fixing the problem so we had Harrelson's look at it, only to find that the problem was just a leaky hose, that cost a grand total of $50 to fix. The company that responded was Kirksville Autoworks…read more They picked the vehicle up from location A and left it running on the truck for the entire tow from point A to Point B. The car had to be towed because it doesn't have a water pump and there is no coolant in the vehicle. When we told him about the issue, the driver said that the vehicle "is under temp." My husband had to point out that since there's no coolant, there is no fluid to actually give an accurate temperature. We have filed a claim with AAA. But don't be surprised if your car needs more work after it gets towed than it did before it got towed. And dont worry.. we did get the car moved from the middle street where he left blocking the road. We moved it into the driveway with the help of a neighbor pushing it.

The tow truck driver showed up in less than half an hour, resolved the issue for me, and gave me some useful recommendations for preventing an issue with my battery going forward. I also came here when I had to get my inspection done to register my vehicle. I made an appointment, the work was done in about twenty minutes, and the staff took time to air my tires and give the engine a cursory look, which resolved an engine light for me. These are top-notch local folks. If you need any sort of car service, or roadside assistance in the Kirksville area, this is who you call.

Knowing I…read morehave to make the two hour drive to Jeff City the next morning, I panic a little, and since I know well, nothing about cars at all, I figure, hey, it's the end of the world. Now I have taken my car to the dealership all it's known life. Yes, I am one of those girls and I am not ashamed of it. However, not having a BMW dealership anywhere even close to Kirksville, I had to start seeking solutions elsewhere. I brought my car in here and they were the nicest people in the world. They popped my hood, checked my coolant, quickly checked for a leak, then filled me back up with coolant, gave me some extra in case there was a leak, and taught me how to check and refill the fluid. Best part, they only charged me $10 for the privilege of all this, and were incredibly nice to me the entire time. If ever something goes wrong with my car again in Kirksville, this is the first place I will go. Granted, there's not a ton of other choices in these parts, but these guys are seriously great.
