We then went across the street to Slate for the reception. Since it was just a reception here I can't speak to what it is like for a full service event. It is a relatively spartan even space and there aren't a lot of frills. There are high ceilings, good natural lighting from the floor to ceiling windows, and the area is open and airy. It is on the first floor so you get people walking by and starting, but that isn't a major deal. The area leading to the bathrooms/back rooms was kind of exposed and inelegant which is the only reason I'm giving it four stars.

An event that was supposed to be a happy occasion turned into a complete disaster. Found ourselves stepping outside to get relief from the heat inside.
