As a 50-yr metal working and mfg. veteran, I have to say, Limited Productions is probably the most quality-conscious machine-shop I've ever experienced. Not only is their work dimensionally accurate, every component is meticulously deburred, clean and packaged. Owner, Glenn Ryan is the "real deal" in technical knowledge and metal-working experience. Somewhat quiet, with a dry humor, he is exceptionally thoughtful in his approach to processing methods and scheduling...he's the kind to ask, "Glenn, how would you make this part". Ltd.Prod. is equally strong in both turning and milling, and just as willing to do a proto-type, as a 1000-pc run. They're equally experienced with stainless, aluminum and plastic and have mfg'd all of the above for me over 5-6 years. They quote their work and honor they're quotes. Delivery times are pretty "on the mark". If Glenn can't meet the requested date, he'll tell you so on the front end, not on due date. Prices are mid-range and fair. But quality exceeds other shops, so I consider the value-proposition to be better at Ltd.Prod. They deserve 5-stars! read more

For many years I've had small fabrication jobs done for me by a coworker. I left that job recently however and had a project that needed attention and wanted to find someone in my area who I could turn to for such a thing. I gave Limited Productions a chance based on a Yelp review here and can report that my experience was the same. They did a wonderful job on my piece at a good price. So glad to have them to turn to here on the East-side for the small things that come in my hobbies and work. I will happily recommend them to people.. read more

In February 2020 I came to Phil with a basic build for a 1995 Miata turbo engine. It required basic…read moremachining like line honing and boring the cylinders for oversized pistons and a head skim. Throughout the process Phil caused numerous delays, lost parts, and let the work drag on. It was nearly 6 months, in August 2020, before Phil returned the completed longblock to me. While running low boost during break in, a freeze plug popped out. My tuner and I suspected that the head had lifted due to improper installation, in which Phil was paid to do. This would allow compression to get into the coolant cavities and force that plug out. Phil was accommodating and replaced the plug. However, when the plug was replaced the motor had low compression so I specifically asked Phil to test the head. He never tested the compression but "fixed the compression issues" (at my expense) and gave the car back saying the compression was good. He and his partner mechanic claimed the compression was off due to the timing belt being two whole teeth off! Two days after driving the car again, another freeze plug popped out. The car went back into their care and custody in which they decided to blame the tune that the car has been running absolutely fine on throughout its whole life before that engine was built and during. Phil and his mechanic claimed this tune destroyed my engine and I would have to source a whole new block! Subsequent diagnoses by a separate, trusted, machine shop and tuner proved that the gasket blew between all cylinders and into the coolant cavities. There was absolutely no detonation or any potential tune related issues. The trusted shop has examined the head and stated "all valves are leaking and have sealing issues. This could be due to a lack of proper valve guide issues or other valve concerns. The cylinder head is already well below minimum thickness before any additional machine operations were begun." Phil machined, assembled and installed this head and was specifically told it came off an engine that had overheated so we needed to make sure it didn't get skimmed too much. The piston rings were not properly gapped causing the rings to buckle and melt the pistons. The oil squirters were not installed correctly and were found in the oil pan. This was all discovered by a different shop. His neglect and inability to work with his customers caused over a year of wasted time. His lack of craftsmanship and inability to take accountability for his work has left me with an inoperative and expensive engine that has never run correctly since he rebuilt it. Take caution before you go here

I was sending work to Gary since he was able to sneak in cylinder heads and some block work, do to…read morehis Machinist retiring and only working 1 day a week. However in the last several months the quality or work had dropped off or he has started severely overcharging. I had him clean a couple oil pans and a few parts and even though I told him to only run them through the sprayer booth he without consent media blasted and other thing to the tune of 500$. Once I returned to the shop I found a bit of runt on a Rod journal and called him to give him a heads up. next visit I took him a cylinder head and what I received in return was half of a camshaft out of a running OEM engine (with out any rust) came back badly rusted. When ever I spoke with him all I heard about the job was "AH!". Gary seems to have no idea what is going on. It's very sad to see this shop going out of business. When you attempt to drop off items the entire driveway has been sold to the tire shop. When asked about the significant rust they left on my clients camshafts, Gary simply said you'll need to remove the rust. He stated the he "Never looked at the job." It unfortunate that his brain can't wrap itself around the fact that it's time to sell before there is nothing left. they are doing greater damage then any benefit possible. I'm sorry to see you go Gary!!! These cams may have been coated with oil but there was NO!! "rust" prior to visiting Pacific Auto Machine!!!

Logan in the service department is our go-to, and he always takes really good care of any services or repairs to my car. He is super friendly and whenever I have questions or concerns about my car, he makes me feel heard and validated and answers them thoroughly. Their service team always goes above and beyond to make my car look and run like brand new. I just wish they would plug my dash cam back in when they're done so I'm not driving around with it not recording... Yesterday, when I needed advice on how to remove paint transfer from my car, I called the store first to see if I could get a recommendation over the phone. A sales department rep told me I could text the service department pictures, and they would be able to help me. When I texted the service department however, I was shocked at how abrasive and unhelpful the employee, Sophia, was. She even gave me the name and phone number of a different place to go. When I explained that I had never taken my car to anyone other than Toyota and that I was worried about a third party damaging my paint, she continued to tell me she couldn't offer me any help. So I ended up driving all the way to Toyota from where I live in Issaquah because y'all have literally never let me down, and I knew that if I went there, I would be able to find some help. The greeter outside was so kind. He actively listened to me before directing me to the parts department, telling me they could definitely help me. Everyone in the parts department was so nice and welcoming, and told me exactly what to do for my car and where to get what I needed. All I wanted was a recommendation that wouldn't damage my paint, and I was so grateful to get to talk to people who were so friendly and empowering. Scott even went above and beyond, going to double-check with the detailers to see if they had any advice on clay bars or anything to help me with the paint transfer. He even came out to look at my car with a microfibre cloth to see if he could help out. After being so frustrated at not getting help, I appreciated how he reassured me about how to get the paint transfer off and made sure that I was confident in my next steps.

I had to repeatedly call the shop myself just to get updates. I was originally told my car would be ready Wednesday. Then I was told Thursday. On Thursday, I was suddenly told they had to reorder a part, so it wouldn't be ready until Friday. After all of that waiting, I finally picked up my car Friday--only to get home and discover a coolant spill. I was extremely upset, called the shop, and was told to have the car TOWED back to them. After waiting days for my car to supposedly be properly repaired, having to tow it back because of an issue immediately after picking it up was completely unacceptable. And it didn't end there. When we picked up the car again, we drove off the lot and received a notification that the hood was open. This is a serious safety concern and completely unacceptable after a vehicle has supposedly been inspected and is ready for the customer to drive. I was told the hood was intentionally left that way because they wanted to "shut it gently." They are an auto repair shop, so the fact that the hood was not properly secured before handing the car back to us is honestly baffling to me. I contacted the owner because I was extremely upset and wanted to give him the opportunity to address what happened. His response was essentially that his team had been on vacation and that this had unfortunately caused a bad experience for me. Honestly, that response made me even more frustrated. I understand that people go on vacation. What I don't understand is why the customer is left to deal with the consequences of staffing issues, poor communication, delays, a coolant spill that required a TOW, and a hood that wasn't properly secured--and then the response is essentially, "Unfortunately, this happened to you." There was no offer to compensate us for the inconvenience, no meaningful attempt to make the situation right, and no real sense of accountability. I have never had a mechanic experience this frustrating. I expected much better communication, attention to detail, quality control, and customer service. The entire experience was stressful, inconvenient, and completely unacceptable. For reference, the repair was around $3,700 with the car being at the shop almost 2 weeks. I would seriously think twice before bringing my vehicle here again.
